Foundation Brush

I really love the foundation I use (cover girl nature luxe silk foundation) but applying it with my fingers looks very splotchy and heavy in some spots.  I don't like the way it looks anymore.  So I thought now would be the perfect time to invest in a foundation brush.  I really want that flawless face look and a nice brush will hopefully help me achieve that, so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Foundation Brush

Hi Kstrat, another brush to check out, and that I love for liquid foundation application, is the Sephora Collection Pro Stippling Brush #44.  It gives a flawless, airbrushed application, and I find that I use less foundation (with the same coverage) when applying with this brush.  :smileyhappy: -Laura

@Laura I've been using that same brush for my cream foundation and absolutely adore it. You are so right about using less!  It makes the smallest amount blend flawlessly.

honestly i didn't know what a big difference between using your fingers and using a brush could make, this is the brush that is like literally perfect at least for me. its also vegan which is nice :smileyhappy: but make sure if you buy a brush you buy a cleanser as well its important so the bacteria doesn't mess up your skin. it looks alot like the one miabt posted this one is just from urban decay, s1435056-main-hero.jpg

I second the recommendation for a Beauty Blender!  I have a few different styles of foundation brushes and regardless of the form of foundation I'm using, I always prefer the Beauty Blender.  Foundations I previously hated that were just sitting in my drawer I ended up loving when used with that glorious sponge!

Hi kstrat,

I highly recommend using a foundation brush!  You will have a more even finish & application is so much easier!  The Sephora Collection Mineral Powder Brush is great for powders

A good one for liquid foundations is the Cover FX Liquid Foundation Brush

For sheering out my heavier liquid foundations, I like to use a dampened beautyblender sponge.

If you have a Sephora near you, I'd suggest making a visit & trying out a few to see which ones you like the best :smileyhappy:
