Best touch-up Powder (to use with a sponge)

Hey guys and gals, so I know there have been alot of threads on some of the best setting powders/compact powders.  I have a loose powder now that I apply in the morning to set my foundation, which I love.  But I am looking for a compact powder to carry around with me in the day for touch-ups.  Most of the reviews on the different brands, mention using a brush instead of the sponge for even application.  I am going to be honest with you and say I am not going to carry a powder brush with me in my purse all day.  So I am looking for a compact powder that applies well or at least pretty decent with a sponge, i.e. the sponge that comes with the compact. I was in store the other day and the Cast member sampled the MUFE matte powderon me which I loved, but she applied it with a powder brush....any thoughts on whether anyone has experienced good results with the sponge....or with any other brand? I don't like using a brush for my touch ups a sponge does so much better especially if you have oily skin. MAC has some of the best sponges as far as long lasting.

Hi! Are you looking for oil control/mattifying compact or a foundation powder? My favorite mattifying compact is the Urban Decay De-slick Mattifying Powder because it is translucent so I can just blot throughout the day without having my face look really cakey. I also don't need to worry about choosing the right color for my skintone A great powder foundation is the Make Up For Ever Duo Mat Powder Foundation. It is very finely milled so it won't look powdery on your face and it will give you a very natural finish.

@ja724- Thanks for the advice.  I want it more for touch-ups during the day rather than solely for oil control. I mean I will have foundation on already but sometimes I feel like some if it "wears" off during the day because my skin gets oily and I use blotting papers throughout the day.  Do you think the MUFE Powder Foundation will be too much to layer on?

I just bought the MUFE Duo Mat for exactly the same reasons you mentioned. I do use primer and UD All Nighter if I need to extend my makeup wear time and it helps a ton. I carry the Duo Mat in my purse for touch ups just incase. I also have the DeSlick and depending on the need for the day, I carry the Duo Mat or DeSlick.
