BB Cream or Foundation for Pale/Acne Prone Skin

(0) Hearts

I'm hoping to find a BB cream or foundation that looks natural. I would like something that is medium to full coverage while being light enough for my very pale skin without causing me to break out. I'm currently using Clinique Even Better Foundation in Ivory (the lightest shade offered), I love the coverage but the color is too dark and causes me to look orange.

I would highly recommend Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturizer. You would never guess it by the name, but it offers medium coverage and is not the least bit oily. Plus, there are some very light color options. I love the stuff.

I have acne and rosacea, and I'm super pale. The only foundation I've tried that's never broken me out is Lancome Teint Idole. I currently use NARS Sheer Matte in Siberia (that pale, seriously), but I have heard it can break you out. I've never had that issue.

I use Sheer Glow in Siberia, too -- there are hardly any other shades like it! I have only ever found around 2 that come close -- it's definitley my favorite foundation :smileyhappy: I have tried Sheer Matte, too (and the Firming Foundation before it was discontinued) -- and none of them broke me out.

I used to wear Clinique and had the EXACT problem with their shades, too!  So frustrating!  Linen in their Even Better and Stay Matte formulas was waaaay too dark.

For me, the closest match has been Tarte's 12-Hour Foundation.  Oh.  My.  Word!  It matches my neck, which has been impossible for years.  The coverage is buildable, so I can light on days I'm not so ruddy and heavier when needed, or I can use Tarte's BB Tinted Treatment before the foundation and get even better coverage and flawlessness.  Really, really impressed and quite surprised by how much I love both!

Hi Aliec I have super pale skin too and the two BB Creams that I have found that give good coverage AND have a light enough color are Clinique Age Defense BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30 in shade 1 (normally Clinique foundations are too dark for me but the BB cream is pretty light) and Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35 in Fair.

I would suggest sticking with a foundation as BB creams offer lighter coverage than even natural finish/sheer foundations.

I would suggest you check out Amazing Cosmetics Velvet Mineral Foundation, it's oil free, offers buildable coverage, is long wearing, and non-comedogenic.

You can also look into MUFE's HD foundation as it also has a wide range of fair shades and an oil-free formula that gives a soft look to the skin!
