summer FOUNDATION (?)

best make up for super hot summer days that stays on all day and gives light to medium coverage. best suited for skin that is sensitive to break outs depending on the foundation. bare minerals falls off my face and cakes after a while nowadays because of the summer heat. i need something that is durable for all day and gives me a natural coverage. best suited for a more yellow and light complexion. my bare mineral color is golden medium (it matches EXACTLY). there's no other make up i found that does that. i use a rx tretinin cream to get rid of my little dark spots (ALOT has gone away) so i want something light that covers super well and does not make skin worse. anything like this out there?

Hi t0ughco0kie28, I love Tarte's Smooth Operator tinted moisturizer. It's sheer coverage works great and last all day plus it has SPF too. It's Amazonian clay base does wonders for my skin, and doesn't break me out at all. Another favorite of mine is Dr Jarts BB Cream. It has SPF as well and feels great on my skin even after playing all day with my kids. I hope this helps :smileyhappy:

How about skipping the foundation and use tinted moisturizer instead. Laura Mercier  tinted moisturizer is absolutely my MUST every summer and might work for you as well.

Goodluck!

I would be curious about the answers to this question as well. I am in the market for a summer foundation too!

Chanel's Vitalumiere Aqua! Its light weight and very natural looking and gives a nice glow. Combined with makeup forever HD powder it stays all day and never looks too shiny or blotchy.

Hi t0ughco0kie28!

In the summer, I use a lightweight tinted moisturizer, and then a loose powder like Smashbox Halo. The effect is great. Layering two decently pigmented, lightweight products on my face covers my acne and acne scars. It shouldn't make your skin worse as long as you look for products that say noncomedognic. This means the product is oil free and won't cause pores to clog, preventing acne.

Hope this helps!
