question on if my products work when used together
Went to sephora a few weeks ago and had a make over. I wanted fresh flawless with coverage look and a primer that minimizes pores. I feel like when i am applying my foundation that it easliy rubs off during applying. I bought Benefits Porefessionals for primer and I bought Too face oil free Close up coverage foundation. I also bought Smashbox photo Set finishing powder in translucent. Well, I do not like the powder because in pictures it gives me a chalky look. I didn't know since both the primer and foundation have sylicone if that is why it easly comes when applying.
I did notice that with this foundation that most powders are too heavy makes it look spotty. Can anyone recommend what I should use with it or give my any advice on if these products are the best to work together.
yeah you probably just have too much silica going on haha.. exchange the primer for something that is silica free, and just leaves the skin smooth and moisturized, then go ahead with your silica based setting powder. Try a primer from Korres instead. I like the antiaging one. Or, if you want to use your Smashbox hun, just use a powder that is more mineral based with names such as talc, titanium dioxide, etc. Nars pressed powder is good stuff. Just go ahead and use any plain jane pressed powder. This should help you a bit? Just don't use silica and then another layer of silica the makeup will slide right off, it's not a big deal you just have to learn to balance the use of your makeup products.
