best sheer, oil free foundation for combinatio
What's a good oil free foundation that's still sheer and won't cause me to get oily quickly or breakout my skin? I have tried Bare Minerals, but I seem to still get an oily T-zone throughout the day. I hear Tarte Tinted Moisturizer is good for oily skin but am not sure.
I have battled oily skin my entire life and the best product I've found to help me is to use an oil-controlling foundation primer called Givenchy Mister Mat Mattifying Foundation Primer which you can find at: http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P231022
A great lightweight, oil free foundation that I really like is Laura Mercier Oil-Free Foundation which has "buildable" coverage so it can be applied lightly for a sheer finish, or layered for fuller coverage. You can find it at: http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P109933
You may want to give the foundation primer a try before switching foundations if you like your foundation because that may take care of your oiliness on its own.
I hope this helps you.
I have battled oily skin for 16+ years! I have tried Tarte, Bocia's, and Korres tinted moisturizers, but given that the point of these is to add moisture back into the skin this seems to make my oily skin worse. I have found that powder foundations are best for me. I also tried Bare Escentuals, but I have had much better results with Laura Mercier's pressed powder mineral foundation. It is SPF 15 & is 100% natural, oil-free, and water resistant. I have found that the sponge applicator it comes with gives pretty full coverage, but I have used a bare escentuals brush with it for more sheer coverage. Hope this helps!
