To primer or not to primer?
I just ordered Peter Thomas Roth Instant Firmx. I have heard it is best to follow application with moisturizer, so I plan to use my usual product, Laura Mercier TInted Mouisturizer. Does my primer still have a place in this process? Honestly I am not into coverinig my face with layer after layer of products. But if the primer still plays a role, which step should it be? Can I get away with out using it since the Firmx is smoothing and tightening already?

[ Edited ]Primer always comes just before the foundation, to create a smooth canvas for your makeup after all the treatments have been absorbed into your skin. One of my favourite beauty blogs did a post about the order of all those products that we end up piling on. It starts to sound pretty absurd to think of putting so much on our faces so I'm thinking of ways we can pare down some of these steps. Tinted moisturizers are a great all-in-one time-saving products.
I say experiment with and without primer and see for yourself whether there is a difference and whether that extra step is necessary. Some primers are so awful that I don't see the point in putting them on at all.
