The Tragedy of the Discontinued Products: Too Faced 'The Bronzed and the Beautiful'

Did anyone purchase the now-discontinued Too Faced bronzing palette, 'The Bronzed and the Beautiful'? It was the best It was the best palette for people who love bronzer or for people who are new to the world of bronzing! I loved it so much, especially beause it came with a Teddy Bear Hair kabuki brush I use to this day! The palette came with three of Too Faced's wonderful bronzers. Snow Bunny was great because it gave me a subtle glow. I live in  a Canadian city that has snow for 7 months, so a beach glow is very impractical! Pink Leopard gives you a great all-around glow, and a less-subtle tan, perfect for a night on the town or a special occasion - or for daily use if you can pull it off! Sun Bunny is perfect for me to use when I have returned from vacation and wnat to continue to look tanned. It is also great in the summer to add more glow to my tan!

All three bronzers are great and its a pity this palette disappeared. I saw it so often in the store I took it for granted it couldnt REALLY be a limited time offer. I highly reccommend anyone looking for a bronzer to check out Too Faced ones. They do have  a a few new palettes but for me, they will never be the Bronzed & the Beautiful!

Does anyone have the same experience with a different discontinued product, or even this one? Share!!

I love the Too Faced Leopard Love palette- it is no longer carried by Sephora either. :smileysad: It was such a tidy neat size and contained blush, bronzer and Pink Leopard which I use as a bronzer since I'm pale. I suppose they have to change their stock periodically to make room for new items, but I also took Leopard Love for granted. Oh well....

This happens to me constantly- I find a product I absolutely cannot live without, and end up having to stock up because it is eventually discontinued, even if it is a big seller. Not just makeup shades- also shampoos, conditioner, cleanser, moisturizer. I know I am among 'friends' bc I see others complaining about this very thing, usually at reviews online,or last stops like drugstore. This happened recently with a curl-enhancer shampoo/conditioner I've used for years that did amazing things to my curly hair. ( no names, but products were from a hair-care Co. initials 'JF'.) I guess they decided that with all the straightening going on, curl care was no longer a priority for them $$$. But last-ditch sites sure sold out fast! I wrote to them and begged, promised to buy it all:smileywink: but no sympathy. Now I'm down to cutting my remaining bottles open and scraping the stuff off the sides. Makes me feel like a junkie, but I guess I am... BTW, I'm praying Too Faced hasn't discontinued Pink Leopard, as it is currently ' not in stock' at Sephora with no 'email me when available'... that's what brought me to your entry- sorry for the soapbox. This is a truly infuriating fact of life.

Most of us are all too familiar when our favorites become discontinued.  Sorry to hear about your bronzing kit.

Since we are in face makeup, here are a few items no longer in production:

Creme de Blush 1 velvety peach (the tarte shade tispy is a good dupe) from YSL.  I actually have an unopened one i snagged a few months ago.  They do not expire too quickly so I'll have more time with the two i have left.

Lancome's adaptive.  First foundation that actually matched my skin.  Oil-free, didn't cause nasty breakouts or under bumps.  Best of all, it wasn't orange looking.  (if you see those things on bidding sites, those are old foundations ewww)
