What can I use that will give my face a photofinish look, that isn't heavy like foundation and, I can apply bronzer or blush overtop of?

If you put on a really good mouisterizer, primer, and then Make Up Forever's HF foundation with sephora's air soft brush number 55, you will have that  photo finish face that does not look cakey. In combination with it's micro finish powder, and you should be set for photographs, television and anything else for the rest of the day. And yes, blush or bronzer, or a combination of both can be applied on top of it.
