Looking for blush color ranges
Me: Med/dk brown hair with dk brown eyes. My best foundation matches are to light with beige undertone, and I have a pink color flush to my cheeks when I exercise. I freckle, but do not try to tan.
I am looking for blush colors, key words to look for while shopping. Looking to enhance my natural color, not make artistic statement. I wear minimal eye and adore lipsticks in reds/ dark corals & pinks/nude.
Any favorite brands&colors in either cream or powder will be much appreciated.
I don't wear blush very much because I also have freckles and have a pink flush when my face gets warm. Because I don't wear blush that much I am not use to it on my cheeks so it looks unnatural to me but a few months ago I got a MAC blush called Pink Cult. It's a very soft neutral pink/rose so it's not too cool toned or too warm toned. So I would suggest looking for a Neutral Pink color maybe like
MUFE Dusty Pink
MAC Mocha (which is more pink than brown)
Illamasqua - Naked Rose
With your coloring, pink would be good. Since you blush pink when you exercise, you should choose a pink. If you want affordable, choose E.L.F's Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder for $3 in Target and online. If you want expensive, choose
Highlighting/Bronzing Blush Duo by NARS in Laguna and Orgasm. Both products are very similar, and so is the packaging. NARS' blush is slightly more orangy, E.L.F's Bronzer is darker. Bronzer would go great with your dark hair and fair completion.
Hope I helped,
Hi! I would definitely take a look at the Tarte clay blushes-they have a gorgeous shade range with colors that can be built up to any intensity. I have a similar coloring to you, and would recommend that you check out the shade Blissful (beautiful peachy pink that is very natural looking). If you're near a Sephora store, you can go swatch it:
I highly recommend looking for a cheek stain instead of a powder. The benefits of a stain (or a cream blusher) is it will absorb right into your skin making it look much more natural as opposed to a powder blush that simply just sits on top of the skin. Try Benefit's Benetint. I have the Cha Cha Tint and its a nice bronzy pink colour that I can put on my cheeks and my lips as well if I want a little flush of colour on a night out. Benefit is by far my favorite stain!!
I hope this helped. Good Luck!
