I have only tried hard candy and am looking for a good one to try under my mac studio fix fluid/blot powder(both are also new to me at the moment)

I have combo skin, tends to be oily in the summer and I have actually tried alot of different primers. Some of the primers I have tried are from smashbox, makeup forever, bare escentuals, laura mercier, benefit, mac, hourglass and the best one yet is the mineral primer by hourglass. It is oil-free and mineral based, it minimez the appearance of pores, and absorbs excess oil and gives your skin a smooth satin canvas, so foundation just glides on. It is water resistant and free of fragrance(a big no for sensitive skin), and parabens. It also contains spf 15. Here is the link http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P210575&categoryId=C17271

I also have oily skin and tend to get the ocassional acne breakout. I use Bare Escentuals barevitamins PrimeTime under my Bare Escentuals foundation. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and keeps my foundation in place. If this doesnt work with your MAC foundation I highly recommend switching to BE, it's amazing!

Smashbox has one but you have to be okay with the feeling of silicone (it also leaves that residue on your phone...ew).

I use Korres Face Primer and I believe it would also meet your needs. Bare Minerals has a little .5oz one for $6 right now http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P272405&categoryId=B70

and the full size specifically for oil control: http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P235347&categoryId=B70

I'm an aeshtetician and I suggest using a foundation primer from Pure Minerals.  I use the green to counteract redness then I use MAC studio fix foundation powder on top.  I also have oily skin.  It's light on the face and is good for acne and sensitive skin.  It's a little pricey at $29, but it's worth it.  Lasts a long time.  One pump does the whole face
