I'd say about 20 minutes, especially if you don't know what shade foundation you need and the makeup artist has to try a couple. Longer if you want to discuss how to apply the product yourself in the future (like a lesson) or have a discussion about the merits of a bunch of products. I look at the time as a pampering, and sit back and relax.
