I don't use sponges to apply anything that liquidy, creamy anymore. I find sponges work best on foundations with a texture like MAC's Studio tech or anything in a compact really.
That being said, Sephora's Airbrush brush, IT natural foundation brush, or indeed a stippling brush (MAC 187 for example) is prob the best way to apply a foundation as creamy as NARS Sheer glow.
Also check out foundation brushes from louiseyoung, adesign (especially their pointed foundation kabuki) and the Sigma F80.
Also with these foundations it's best to use targeted application. Apply a light layer first and then go back in and add a little more if you need more coverage.
