Best Oil Free Primers?
Ok, I have a question about Primers for my oily skin. I have been through Smashbox, Tarte, Laura Mercier Radiance Primer (I know its not oil free), maybe another one or two brands.
I have my skincare routine down, using PTR, and its worked wonders for me! I changed from Smashbox BB cream, to Tarte Tinted Moisturizer, then to Dr. Jart Black Detox BB cream. I had been waiting for a long time for the new Dr Jart Black Detox BB cream to become available.
It does do a lot more for my skin, but I'm finding that I get extremely oily with any of the above mentioned Primers. I have been looking into a few lightweight, oil free Primers, I have narrowed down the list to get opinions on :
Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer, Tarina Tarantino Glow Pearl Primer, Urban Decay has 2 face primers I haven't seen before, Too Faced Primed and Poreless oil free white bottle, and PTR makes an Un - Wrinkle Primer (not sold at Sephora)
Does anyone have any experience with any of the Primers that I mentioned, and had good luck with having oily skin? I would truly appreciate any advice or opions :-)

There is a Laura Mercier oil free primer hat I've tried for my somewhat oily face and it works nicely. I also have skipped this step and went to a BB ream since the primer is built in and the BB cream doesn't affect my face at all in a negative way. I found the sku# just in case for LM primer, oil free. QTY$30.00 Foundation Primer - Oil Free ITEM # 905349 SIZE 1.75 oz

Hi makeupobesessed,
When I changed from Tarte Tinted Moisturizer (no problems what so ever with oil), to begin Dr Jart Black Detox BB cream that I had been waiting forever to become available because of all of it's skin benefits, I had also purchased LM Radiance Primer, because my mom loves it, and I thought I would be able to use under Dr Jart because, I just have to have a primer, preferably one that will work. The next trip to Sephora, I plan on getting a sample of it.
Ironically, leaving Macy's tonight, I grabbed a pump of Lancome LeBase primer, purposely going in there clean and barefaced, and all it was, was an overpriced oil control Gel! I looked in the mirror, my face was not oily anymore, but it looked just the exact same! My pores were visible, skin color totally uneven, well, I'm sure you get my point.
Thank you for your help :-) I'm definitely going to try LM Oil Free Primer, and Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer.

I think you'll like it...it has good pore coverage, makes my skin even for whatever will be put on next. In summer it's a tinted moisturizer usually.

I'm going to get a sample next time I go, which needs to be soon! I really want to go into the store barefaced and just try the ones I have whittled my list down to. I still have to give the Hourglass a try since so many people really like the results. I also am looking into trying Tarte Illuminating Serum as well. I had such great results when I was using the Tarte TM. I just have to find the right combination that's going work well with each other, and of course, my skin!
Thank you :-)
Thank you :-)
