I'm curious on what you ladies would do. I've always thought foundation products with a very slight yellow hue match my skin best (I've been 1Y07 or 1Y06 when using colorIQ in stores). But when I talked to a Cover FX rep at the Rouge event she thought my tones were more pink and convinced me to buy the P30. In fairness, the G30 was WAY too yellow for my skin so I was thinking I'd be more of a neutral in this line. She only tested the product on my neck since I had a full face of makeup on and it seemed fine but I'm nervous. I explained my hesitation to her for all the reasons above and she said just to return it if I didn't like it, but I try to use that only as a very last resort. What would you do?
Can you recommend a great pressed powder especially to use to prevent midday shine? I've used MAC in the way past but haven't needed it as much as my skin ages and has become more dry. However, lately I have leaned more towards the natural & mineral make-up brands to deal w/my sensitive and more reactive skin. It could be my moisturizer but I seem to have more shine, especially on my forehead now during the day. I have fair to light medium skin w/red undertones.
Hey Girls! I've been looking into the highlight & contouring style these days, I've watched videos on how to do it myself. I'm not very good at it either, and I am a beginner with that technique. So I'd like to advance my makeup skills. What do you suggest I use? I hate anything that comes in a powder palette. I prefer creamy palettes. Any advice will do. Thank You :-)
Do I use bare minerals powder over the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue? What about concelaer, I have dark undereye circles - Do I need a concelaler for dark circles while using Complexion Rescue? Also, I wear Bare Minerals in Light. What would I use in Complexion Rescue?
Hello all I would like to try a new powder. I've been using Cover FX Blotting powder in medium over my foundation and BB cream. My skin type is oily that's why I would like a powder or blotting powder whatever they are called these days lol. Thanks for the help! Also if you could recommend a face brush along with the powder that would be great.
Oh god. Today, I tried out Benefit Hello Flawless foundation sample I've got weeks ago. Recently, I was actively searching for a foundation that suits me better than Nars Sheer glow and was considering between Chanel and TF. When I applied this HF foundation, I thought I found my HG foundation. It was really the best foundation I've ever worn...so smooth, right coverage, my skin looked flawless! and... After washing my face, I found some red bumpy breakouts (whitehead-ish, something you can easily pop up, not a big inflammatory one) on my face...and when was the last time this happened to me? It was when I used Bare Minerals mineral powder foundation. Wait, is this Bismuth Oxychloride? I did my research, and yes, there you are! I'm just so sad. I immediately ordered this foundation from Sephora since I just knew! it's the perfect foundation..but didn't know that it's that plus Bismuth Oxychloride. I was just a step away, and now I know I have to return it. SO SAD!
Hi! I was wanting to try a Mercier tinted moisturizer but since I am a fair redhead and I know I'm tough to match I'm not sure which shade to order. I use Make Up Forever HD in 110 in winter and 115 in summer if that helps. Have any ideas?
I currently own Eco Tools brushes but am looking to invest in a high end brush set. I am not really interested in eye brushes because I do own a Kat Von D set. I was looking more more for a powder brush, blush brush, bronze brush, contour brush and a highlight brush. Any recommendations or suggestion of your favorite set? Thank you in advance!!
Hello, I could use some recommendations, have never used a BB or CC cream before. Is there something out there that I could order online & have it be the right shade? I am 67 with fair, normal-to-dry skin. When I've used tinted moisturizers in the past, I usually get a very light shade. For 3 years, I've been using Jane Iredale loose powder in "Satin". It has great coverage, but I'm getting kind of tired of it. I am not sure whether to try a BB or a CC. If I put powder over it, I don't need SPF in the cream. Mainly I'd like to brighten, cover redness & reduce the appearance of large pores. Thanks for any help! (I was about to choose Clinique Age Defense & then read too many reviews saying it was heavy & difficult to apply).
I am looking for a new foundation that is moderate coverage, but does not leave a matte or a heavy powder appearance which seems to make fine lines and pores ten times worse. I am currently using Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation and not liking the finished product. I am also curious if using Dr. Jart+ CC Essence Balm, Dr. Jart+ BB Bounce Beauty Balm, AmorePacific Color Control Cushion Compact Broad Spectrum SPF 50+, or something similar to Lancôme MIRACLE CUSHION Liquid Cushion Compact Foundation. Also, I am looking for concealer other than the benefit watts up or benefit flawless brightning concealer. Open to other products. Finishing powders that wont amplify the current issues for setting my makeup? Too Faced Absolutely Invisible Candlelight Powder?
I have oily skin, i'm looking for long wearing foundation that will last and not budge and won't leave me any oilier than what i already am. So i can't decide whether i should purchase Estee Lauder Double wear Foundation or Nars all day luminous foundation? Any tips?
I currently wear Koh Gen Do's Aqua foundation in shade 213. I love everything about it, but it is getting too light for summer. What color would be one shade darker but still have the same yellow undertone?
I am just wondering what is a good, highly recommended setting powder? I have combination skin, so by the time it hits say after lunch, my makeup looks fine...but it just tends to get a little oily around my t-zone area. I have two foundations, but use only one or the other depending on my mood. lol One is the MUFE Mat Velvet and the other is the Clinique Stay-Matte Oil-Free Foundation. I do have a little bit of the MUFE HD Microfinish one. I have been using that as a setting powder...but wondering if there is another one that is highly recommended? Or just stick with that one? Any suggestions?
looking for a good contouring powder for asian skin - i am currently using nars contouring but i don't LOVE it (which is quite sad considering i love nars products) because i think the color is more for someone with pink undertones i prefer powders over creams, and am looking for contouring (i.e. one/more light, one/more dark) and not bronzing powder also will not wear any powders that are tested on animals
I came into the store and got matched. She said I was in between colors and the lightest was No. 25. What would the darker color be? I have pink undertones. Would it be a 45 or a 50 or something else? Thank you!
Hey Everyone, I need some help and advice. I have a mixture of combination skin I have dry patches but throughout the day I get shiny due to my face producing oils. I always find with my foundation (YSL foundation) that it breaks down within 2 - 3 hours after applying it. I don't know if I should be using a specific type of primer, Im currently using a colour correcting one or if I should use a different powder to set my foundation. Honestly I really just want to keep my foundation in place. I see all these ladies who have such flawless foundation throughout the whole day and I would love to know how they do it. Thank you!
Hello, I previously did the Best Foundation Match in Sephora store, and the result was 1Y07. I would like to try Bare Minerals BareSkin Pure Serum Foundation. How can I get the perfect shade for my skin tone from that brand and how to pick the perfect foundation shade in general.
Hi ladies. I'm recently considering whether to get TF Traceless Foundation or not. I'm find with both stick and liquid. My concern is, whether they accentuate flake/dry patches or not. I don't care too much about coverage unless it's has ZERO coverage. Anyone have drier skin and using TF foundation?? Please give me some advice!
I'm mac nc 20 for reference. I have normal/ combo skin but more on normal side, just a bit of shine in T-zone, we don't have sephora store in my country so I am getting it online. Hope it will match my shade and go well with my skin type. Also for NARS creamy radiant concealer, should I go for Vanilla or Custard? And last question, what primer should I use for my normal/combo skin under this foundation? Thanks in advance!
