Hi all! I am a big fan of Adelaide Kane (an actress from Reign, Teen Wolf, etc.). Recently, she uploaded pictures to Instagram from a photoshoot she had done with photographer Jordan Harvey. I fell in love with the soft color used on her cheeks and was hoping that the Sephora community might be able to make a recommendation on a blush that would dupe the blush used on Adelaide for the shoot. I did a little digging and found that the exact blush used for the shoot was Au Naturale Cosmetics Organic Creme Blusher in Rose (a soft burgundy shade). Any recommendations for this little obsession of mine? tags: blush, adelaide kane, rose, burgundy, au naturale, reign, cool, cool tone
Hello ladies! I am in desperate need of your help. I am on the hunt for a foundation (and/or concealer combo) that will not crease or break up on my face. Recently I've noticed that my old stand-by's tend to break up or crease heavily around my nose and eyes. I've spent far more than I probably should have trying to find a combination of primers, foundations, powders etc to stop the issue. I've ensured that they're all match based (oil, water), tried some YouTube techniques, even bought new brushes because I thought my beauty blender wasn't hacking it anymore. I'm fed up and swimming in a sea of foundations that don't seem to want to cooperate. Any ideas and suggestions would be great! Thank You!
How to get a perfect glow makeup? What products do you need? Please lists me some products for this makeup look ( not that expensive ). I would like to try a new makeup look, i want to look tan and have this good highlight/glow.
Hey there! I currently am trying to find a new everyday foundation as my lovely KVD is quite heavy and my skin is starting to react to it, maybe because it's getting cold outside, I don't know. I am pretty pale, like ghostly, more on the pink side. I'd really love to see swatches of Cover FX in N0 and in P10, MUFE HD and Water Blend in R210, and anything that could be like, REALLY pale and pinkier, next to KVD's foundation in L42 or MUFE Mat Velvet in #15. Actually, I'm not even sure if R210 is very pale, I only tried Y205 a whole day and I didn't feel like my usual self because it is yellow. I really need a light coverage. I also still have my white mixer if I can't get my hand on something perfect, tho I'd prefer not having to use a lot. Thank you!
HI, I am going away next week and I am in search for a foundation that looks great in flash photography. I currently use Vitalumiere Aqua (Chanel) and I am quite happy with it but I look awful in pictures. I have very sensitive skin that tends to be on the dry side and I tend to break out with new products. I tried the new MUFE water blend foundation and it made my face greasy, and it made my face look very pale in flash photos. I did love the feel of it. Can you recommend any products that are: -lightweight -medium coverage -wont cause me to break out -looks great in flash photos. Thank you so much!
I have normal/combination skin with normal cheeks and nose, dry mouth and eye area, and an oily forehead. But whenever I wear foundation, it completely dries out my face (especially my cheeks, mouth area, and eye area) and makes it feel really tight. I make sure to layer my skincare and put on moisturizer underneath, but I still feel dry. So far I've tried the Smashbox bb cream, Smashbox bb water, Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation, and the Custom Cover fx drops mixed with the Maybelline blur and smooth primer (which I wear under all my foundations). Does anyone have any good hydrating primers or makeup tricks that could help with this? Or do you have any suggestions on lightweight light-medium coverage foundations I could try (preferably $50 and under with a decent shade range; I have dark skin)?
I am currently in the process of switching foundations and have been trying out different shades in the Dior Forever Perfect line. 040 was too dark so I tried 035, but the undertones seem a bit too neutral (I have yellow undertones). What are the official undertones for 034 and 035,? I cant find them anywhere online.
I need help finding a foundation for everyday use. I have tried dozens and can not find the right one. I have read that for acne prone skin to try a tinted moisturizer but did not like the coverage it gave me. Everything I try either breaks me out or is not enough coverage. Help please!!
Hi everyone! I was hoping you all could give me some recommendations for a good medium coverage, quick to apply, every day foundation. For days when I need/want more coverage I use Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet+ which I love! For days when I have less time or want less coverage I'm currently using Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream. I love the ease with which it can be applied but I'd like a bit more coverage as well as more help in controlling oil. I have very pale skin which has made foundation shopping difficult in the past (MUFE MV #15). It seems like so many lines just don't offer shades light enough for my skin tone. I have combination skin that tends to get pretty oily on my nose and chin. Also, I use the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer and, even though its expensive, I haven't found anything that works better. Thanks in advance for any recommendations!
I went to Sephora for a Custom Makeover on Friday, specifically looking for a new foundation. I'm 42, very oily skin, large pores, fine lines under the eyes and some moderate forehead lines. I'm looking for a foundation that provides moderate coverage (lighter than medium coverage), has a good matte finish, will last all day without breaking up, won't settle into the creases, and can be applied with a beauty blender or sponge. The associate used Lancome Teint Idole Ultra foundation on me. It did stay all day for sure, but it felt like such heavy coverage I was wearing a mask and the finish was way too dewy, even with an oil control primer and setting it with Laura Mercier translucent setting powder. What other foundations should I try? I have been using Benefit Hello Flawless Powder -- I love how light it feels and it starts with moderate coverage, but as soon as I get oily it looks terrible in the forehead wrinkles, breaks up and slips off my face. Even with primer and setting spray. Thanks for the advice!
Which would you recommend? I have combination skin, I do not wear foundation everyday since I feel like it always is cakey/ clogging my face. It also looks very dry and flakey sometimes. I have tried so many different. (Laura Mercier, Tarte, Clinique, Makeup Forever, MAC, Low end foundations, Smashbox, etc) I cannot seem to find one I love. Ive heard good things about both NARS Luminous Weightless Foundation. Ive also heard good things about Laura Mercier Candleflow Foundation. My favorite thing to use right now is Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. My perfect color is BISQUE. Which foundation would you recommend? and If recommending Nars which color is closest to Bisque? I Believe the description for bisque is Light with pink/yellow undertones. (Although I think I am sort of more medium toned) but it matches! Thanks !!!
Hi I use the born this way foundation in color natural beige and I want to get in to contour my face but I'm not sure which concealer to use to highlight my face and to contour I been looking in high end and drugstore like maybe line and la color pro but I can't find the color that goes with me
Previously I've been using the Porefessional primer with my cream moisturizer. But I've changed to a gel hydrating moisturizer (Clarins HydraQuench Gel Cream) and every time I use the primer afterwards it seems to combine and clump together into little balls of primer (kind of like those dead skin face peels). I even tried waiting until the moisturizer sets in my skin and dries to apply primer, but there will still be a little bit of clumping happening. I'm sure it's not because the primer is getting old, because I got it only a couple months ago and it also works fine with my Murad Oil Control Mattifier moisturizer. Which types of primers should I be looking for that works well with gel moisturizers and doesn't clump?
I have extremely oily skin and I'm trying to find a foundation that will keep me matte without looking caky and heavy on my face. The Clinique Stay Matte Oil-Free foundation, BECCA Ever-Matte Shine Proof Foundation, Tarte Double Duty Beauty Confidence Creamy Powder Foundation,Too Faced Cocoa Powder Foundation, TESTS LAUDER Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup, and Clinique Superbalanced Silk Makeup sound like they could be good options but I was hoping to get an idea of which is closer to what I'm looking for.
Hi guys! I got Color IQ matched to Y101 a few months ago and I picked out MUFE HD Foundation in shade Y205 (Alabaster). It's a perfect match! I am looking to try some new foundations. I already own KVD in the wrong shade and I like the full coverage, so I want to try it in a shade that works for me. I also want to try the Urban Decay Naked Foundation. What colors would you suggest in those foundations that are a Color IQ match for Y101? Thanks!
Aloha! I'm looking for a tinted moisturizer WITHOUT a sunscreen in it. Any and all physical and mineral sunscreens seem to break me out in awful, painful cystic acne. Chemical sunscreen, on the other hand, plays well with my skin. I have my own SPF50 sunscreen that I use for sun protection. Any reccs? I'm about an NC 20ish, golden undertones, light skin. Thanks in advance!
Hi fellow beauty lovers! I am looking for a new bronzer for the summer time! I already own benefit by hoola which i love and is my current go to bronzer but I am just looking for something new for the summer! I own Laguna by Nars but feel like I may be allergic to some of the ingredients in it so i am staying clear of it. I also own chocolate by too faced and enjoy using that too sometimes but would like something different. I would prefer something powder rather than liquid as I have oily skin with acne scars/mild blemishes and have been told by my dermatologist to stay away from liquid products. Anything labeled non-comedogenic would be a major plus as well! Basically just looking for a powder bronzer for safe for oily skin! Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much! P.S My skin tone/current foundation color is Clearly Pearl in bareMinerals Blemish Remedy Foundation. http://www.sephora.com/bareminerals-blemish-ready- foundation-P388677?skuId=1703016&icid2=D%3Dc6%3Apr ...
I have such complicated needs for my foundation. My skin is EXTREMELY oily nearly all over my face, mostly my t-zone. However, around my nostrils, my chin, my lips, and even right below my cheekbones on occasion, I break out in dry patches especially during winter. I was using the Lancome 24 hour foundation, but I found it would just cling to my dry patches and I think it dried them more. Foundations always seem to get so cakey on me, even when I apply a minimal amount, and they break down on my skin. I love a full coverage foundation, I don't have any bad skin issues other than the occasional pimple and some large pores on my cheeks and nose, but I really really like a fully covered flawless face, as if I have an insta filter on.Even a medium but build able foundation can work for me. I am so sick of the holy grail foundation search, please any suggestions
