I am looking for a foundation that would last in the SUPER hot and humed climate of Costa Rica while looking natural and not paisty/cakey. Also, it ihas AWESOME ingredients. (I have super sensitive skin) Also, I already use Dr. Jart BB spf 45 for my sunscreen and primer. Any ideas team? PS, I have combination skin and falls on the lighter and cooler side of shades. THANK YOU
I was told that the perfect contouring shade for my skin would be Bobbi Brown's eyeshadow in wheat... which of course Sephora doesn't sell. Anyone have very fair skin with pink undertones who can suggest comparables?
Anyone else find this super annoying? I have a bunch of foundations in my current collection that I love - both drugstore and some high end that I've tried that all seem to have SPF in it. Now during the day when I'm just going to work or whatever obviously I don't mind, I wear moisturizer with SPF on a daily basis anyways. But my foundations I prefer to wear on a night out (due to coverage, flawless-ness, etc..) always seem to have SPF as well. I'm alright pretty white as it is lol so it's pretty frustrating. I kind of wish they didn't include it in foundation so that if you feel you need it, you could just add a moisturizer underneath.
Hi! so i got the Anastasia contour kit and i have no clue how to use it. i have looked up sevreal youtube how to videos and still cant get it right. i have a heart shaped face and no matter how i try i just look the same every time!
Okay, this is the second post I've started in the last ten minutes.. LOL. Girls, I'm in need a new blush- not right now, but for Christmas. (Yes, I'm an early shopper!) I have the bareMinerals blush(almost out of it!) and loved it, and I once got a sample of the Tarte blush and loved it also.. Right now I'm using the Josie Maran coconut water cheek gelee- I got it a few weeks ago when I went to Sephora, (I just got the $13 travel size one!) to hold me over till I could get a better blush for Christmas. I've never tried the JM cheek gelee until I bought it, and its okay. I don't think I'll be getting it again after its gone.. The good thing is it does last all day long- because whenever I touch my cheek it feels as if someone put ear wax all over! LOL! I don't put too much on, but I hate touching my face and feeling that sticky-ness! I am really interested in the Tarte 24 Amazonian clay blush, bareMinerals blush, or the Clinque cheek pop. I prefer blushes to be in a compact, like the tarte one, but then again I don't mind the bareMinerals blush packaging. Please help me! Thank you! XOXOXO PS. Whatever blush I choose in the end I will need a shade also-- if anyone can suggest a blush shade with the blush brand they recommend that'd be greatly appreciated! I have red hair, a light(ish) complexion, and brown eyes(don't know if that helps or not!) Thanks again! Oh and I also have freckles... Lol.
Hello beautiful ladies I'm going in for a custom makeover tomorrow, this will be my first time so if you experienced ladies could give suggestions on what to addk and what to expect that will be great. For example if I don't like the color they are using could I tell them to try what I like and do I need to carry a picture for the kind of makeup I'm looking to get??.. Pls respond asap Thanks all
And I need THE PERFECT foundation for the wedding. I've been using Makeup Forever with Kat Von D Lock it powder on top. Even with both they cover my blemishes and acne scars. The wedding is outside so I'll need something that isn't going to sweat off. I have combination oily skin and it's real sensitive. I literally only change my foundation brand once a year or else my skin goes crazy. I've tried E.L.F Mineral powder, that didn't last. Cover girl Whipped foundation, only once that ever lasted and gave full coverage but it's been discontinued, and my face was always breaking out because of how heavy it was on my pores. I just need something that will last from 9am-midnight, won't make me look washed out in pictures and will give a good full coverage.
When I wear my medium-coverage foundation it settles into the expression lines around my nose/mouth and on my forehead, and makes it look as though I have very wrinkly, aging skin. I do not actually have age wrinkles... How do I prevent the creasing? FYI, I do moisturize and use primer before applying the foundation. Foundation is then applied with a foundation brush and finished with a light setting powder.
I got a sample of the Too Faced Born this Way foundation in light beige and I have been using it with the TF Hangover primer. I have really dry skin, but this combo is making me so oily, even if I set with NARS loose translucent powder and UD De-Slick setting spray.. Does anyone have other suggestions? Thanks!
So I apply my makeup in the early morning and by the time I get home around 5, I cannot wait to wash my face. It feels oily and my makeup doesn't look good anymore. I do a natural look-I cover my acne and put on mascara but not much else. How do I keep my foundation and concealer looking fresh for the whole day??
Hi, I have been searching for a primer that is both hydrating enough and not necessarily mattifying as my cheek area has a lot of large pores but is also dry. My t-zone area also has large pores and occasionally gets oily, but I am more on the dry side of combination skin. Is there a really good primer that someone can recommend that will both help to blur out the large pores but will not be too drying? I've tried Too Faced Primed & Poreless but I am not too impressed.
Hi all. I just got the full size Tarte 12 Hr BB Primer because I had a sample and loved it. Yesterday, I had a couple extra spots to cover and put a bit of concealer on top of it, but it was a little bit cakey when I did. (It wasn't that bad, but I am looking for different options). I was wondering if anyone had tried this with concealer underneath instead of on top. I know it's supposed to be a primer and moisturizer in one, so usually that wouldn't be the best idea, but I do still put a light layer of additional moisture on before this and I think it just might work. Hopefully, my skin will clear up and this won't be a problem for too long! lol. (Very specific question, I know.)
Hi everyone! Okay so here is my issue: I love my every day make up except for one thing… under eye flash back!!! Every single time I take a photo with flash, my under eyes have a white cast but the rest of my face is fine. I have been to Sephora countless times to figure out why under my eyes have a white cast in photos taken with flash and I have just been recommended translucent powders to set my foundation and concealer but none seem to work for under my eyes. Is it the concealer that doesn’t work well with translucent setting powder? Is it the foundation and concealer mix that doesn’t work well with translucent setting powder? My everyday make up routine is as follows: 1. Apply Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream With Super 7 Complex 2. Apply Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Face Primer 3. Apply MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Invisible Cover Foundation 4. Apply NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer 5. Apply Translucent Setting Powder ( I have tried so many brands and they all seem to give me the white cast) 6. Apply Mascara & Eyeliner Once complete, my face looks flawless! Now when I take a photo with flash, my face still looks flawless EXCEPT for under my eyes only. What is wrong? Someone please help!
How come the Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide Foundation that i bought the texture of it is literally like water comparing to the sample i got (kinda like creamy) from the store? I did shake it very well too.
Can't wait to try this. Sounds like the Nars all day luminous, which i love~ the only thing I'm not crazy about is the MJ has a dropper? Has anyone tried this yet? I am waiting for it to show on the color iq to see what shade id be. I never loved the genius gel it just wasn't enough coverage for me so this looks like something id like. They have so many shades id most likely have to swatch in store http://www.sephora.com/re-marc-able-full-coverage- foundation-concentrate-P398803?skuId=1711282
Hi! So I am REALLY PALE and I cannot seem to find a well matching foundation. I currently make a blend of Urban Decay Naked skin in 0.5 with a white clown makeup cream I buy from party city. The color I make is a shade off from pure white. I have tried so many different foundations and even been color iq matched with no avail. I prefer full coverage. Here's a picture so you can see what I am trying to cover and maybe color help. Makeup vs no makeup:
Hi, I got matched at Sephora with the kat von d foundation in medium 53 and in mac im a C4.5 in studio fix which say fits most nc35 skintones...but im a little doubtful on that...so I was wondering with those shades in mind what shade would I be for the Estee Lauder in Double Wear? The color iq was not able to find a match
Hi looking to find which concealer by Nars I can use if I am using Santa Fe sheer glow foundation by Nars. I had dark bags under my eyes that I very much want to cover and give myself a more youthful look. Please help! Thanks
Does anyone have a suggestion for a setting powder with some lasting power? I use the Tarte 12 hour foundation that I love but I have had a surge in oil lately and can't seem to keep my face matte at all. I also notice my making coming off on my phone so I need something to set it and something that stays put for the majority of the day.
Just purchased the newest HD make up forever (used it before but not since it's been updated) in Y375 but didn't get get a finishing powder. I've read many reviews on the nHD micro finish powder. Would you recommend in combination with the new HD foundation?
