I have severe acne and scarring, which leaves almost "craters'' when I put on foundation. I've always used BareMinerals "Fairly Light" in Matte but I found that it doesn't provide the full coverage I need and comes off very easily. I'm looking for a good foundation that provides full coverage. Regardless of price, what would be the best foundation for severe acne, scarring, oil and redness? I've tried tarte's new clay foundation and liked its coverage but the color isn't my favorite and leaves my skin looking a bit oily. Recommendations? Thanks!
Its on the site now, The design of the item is awesome. Seeing that its a magnetic closure is awesome. Btw the description said this is the 30th anniversary item for Guerlain.... And resisting this temptation is the worst.
Okay, so I changed my mind! I need an Hourglass blush... I am only allowing myself to purchase one however, and I can't make up my mind! I've narrowed it down to two colors... Diffused Heat and Radiant Magenta. I originally had my heart set on Diffused Heat, but then I saw swatches of Radiant Magnta -- and it isn't as in-your-face bright pink as I thought! And now I'm wondering if Diffused Heat would turn orangey on my warm skintone. I have light-medium skin with yellow undertones (my current foundation of choice is 2Y06 in Sephora's Color IQ). Which of these two shades would be more suitable for my skintone? Update: I just placed an order with Space.NK for Radient Magenta If I like it, I'll probably end up getting Diffused Heat as well, eventually! Thanks to everyone who provided me with their opinion... hearts for all of you!
I've used UD naked foundation for over a year now, but I feel it is very hard to take off. I have to wipe my face off before my shower, then I wash my face in the shower and wipe my face off again. I feel like it will lever come off! Is there any short cuts?
Hello, I have very fair acne prone oily skin with some acne scarring, I have been looking online and there seems to be a lot of foundations out there, but am having a hard time narrowing it down. I am quite a distance from a sephora so I do tend to shop online usually. I was curious on thoughts about these or any other suggestions you might have: Clinique Stay Matte Clinique Even Better Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Make up forever mat velvet + Thanks so much!
How many of you contour and highlight? Seems like that's all anyone talks about these days. I just recently tried it and didn't really see much of a difference plus I felt gross wearing that much makeup. I prefer just a bb cream and powder once in a while.
So I have been using aloe vera gel on my face as moisturizer and putting my Maybeline BB cream on top, and then a translucent powder by Marcelle. My makeup stays on all day and it's the right skin tone for me which is SO hard to find being an indian girl. My only problem is my face looks kind of sweaty an hour later despite putting the powder on. I look like I'm wearing ALOT of makeup but I'm not. Any ideas on how to fix this?
For reference, I'm the shade 117 in MUFE HD, Warm Ivory in Bobbi Brown Skin foundation, and Gobi in Nars Sheer Glow. I want a tad bit lighter conealer so that I can highlight the face when I'm highlighting and contouring.
Hi everyone I'm looking for a medium coverage foundation with a dewy finish that's long lasting, I've tried NARS Sheer Glow, and Giorgio armani luminous silk, and nars didn't last, and Armani isn't that dewy. I have combo skin so I need it to hold up in oily t zone. Thanks for any advice!!
So I did a Personal Beauty Consultant Advice thing at Sephora like 2 months ago and after trying like 10 different foundation/bb cream/tinted moisturizers I finally landed on the Smashbox Liquid Halo Foundation. It was the only foundation that I tried that didn't look cakey on me, however I want a way to add more coverage to it. I have the MUFE Full Coverage Concealer and its perfect for the single blemishes here and there but I want something that I could combine with the Smashbox foundation to give me extra coverage on my forehead, chin, and nose. Also, I have combination skin with dry patches of my cheeks, forehead, and chin and an really oily nose. Could you guys also recommend a good primer that gives me a youthful glow since I'm a teenager while controlling my oil? Thanx girls! xoxo
Hi guys! I am sorry to bug you all, but just recently I started to rebuild my make up collection. I come from Brazil and over there I had national brands that would work perfectly for my issue with deep and dark circles under my eyes. I've been living now in Canada, where due to the extremes temperature my skin became extra sensitive, extremely dry in the winter and oily;combination in the summer. Drug-store cosmetics were causing me all kinds of allergy reaction and breakouts too. So I just started rebuilding my collection from zero buying more high-end products that don't harm my skin anymore. I've been buying a lot of those trial kits from bare mineral, too faced, smashbox, Benefit, etc and have been finding some great and some ok products, but I haven't found a good concealer yet. I tried the "fake up" from Benefit and I tried the "EFFACERNES - Waterproof Protective Undereye Concealer" from Lancôme, but they don't have good coverage on me and they show a lot of lines under my eyes making me look so much older, and not covering the dark circles at all. I'm 24 and need something good coverage to use with my bb cream from Lancôme or my foundations. Something that works well on my summer oily skin and won't make me breakout! If you have any suggestions that I can go try on, I would really appreciate the help! Thanks
Hi everyone! For my daily face routine I moisturize and use the Hourglass veil primer all over my face, Benefit Porefessional around my nose where my large pores are, Revlon Colorstay foundation for oily skin and Tarte smooth operator loose powder. My skin tends to get oily during the day and my makeup just settles in my pores so quickly and it doesn't look very nice! The Porefessional just isn't working for me I guess. Can you please recommend other primers that you've had good experience with minimizing the appearance of pores and lasts through the day?
Hello So lately ive been wanting to learn how to contour and highlight.Ive been wanting to purchase ABH contour kit but I didnt know if it would be the right item for me. I am a medium 57 in Kat Von D's foundation and a 205 in MUFE duo mat powder foundation and NC37 in MAC.What are some recommendations ? Also I have oily skin.
So sad to learn that this product has been discontinued. Any suggestions as to what I should try now? They did come out with a pressed powder but it has gotten terrible reviews & I love loose powder. But I have very sesitive skin.
