I have acne prone skin, but I really only break out when I wear makeup. If I don't wear it my skin clears up in a week or two, but I want to wear makeup to cover up acne marks I got a while ago. What is the best makeup to use?
I can't decide between the three offered right here on Sephora: Parure de Lumière Tenue de Perfection Lingerie de Peau Thoughts/opinions/reviews would be much appreciated, especially any comparisons. Thank you!!
I want a new highlighter, but I dont want something that looks like a unicorn sneezed glitter in my face! I'm looking for something that gives me a luminous warm glow and doesn't look greasy from too much sheen (oily skin here) I think I've picked two contenders : Too Faced Candlelight Duo Highlighting Powder OR Dior Shimmer Star Has anyone used one or both??
Hey everyone, I am just on a hunt for yet another foundation.. I'm currently using the Makeup forever HD an the Guerlain lingerie de peau. I'm just really curious about the Givenchy photo perfexion fluid foundation because it does have great reviews, but I can't find them in stores anymore because the Teint couture has replaced them. I like light weight foundations that has a fair amount of coverage, and those that have a nice glow/brightening effect to them. (I have combination skin that tends to get a bit oily during the summer months) What are your experiences of using Givenchy's photo foundation?
I need some help - I`m looking at purchasing the Guerlain foundation but I`m not sure if I should get shade 24 or shade 25. I`m a tad bit darker than NC45 but NC50 is too dark. Here are the colours I wear in other brands: MUFE HD - 173 DiorSkin - 050 Smashbox Studio Skin 4.1 If anyone can help, I would appreciate it!
I was at the movies recently and it made me feel slightly bad about my makeup. How on earth do the makeup artists get foundation to look so perfectly skin-like? I think my makeup is usually pretty natural but most girls would be able to tell I'm wearing foundation. I want to find a foundation that has decent coverage but doesn't look like foundation.... maybe I'm asking too much. Makeup isn't magic. Can any of you recommend foundation like this for me?
When I apply my foundation it looks fine but then maybe 2-3 hours alter it looks cakey and appears to be a layer on top of my skin. I really am looking for a dewy more natural look for daytime, I have used Silia tinted moisturizer in the past which did not get flaky however was looking for a little more coverage so i switched to a foundation. Should I go back to Stila, try something else OR modify my application?? (I don't use my foundation brush because i cant blend with it i usually use my fingertips) I use Make up Forever HD foundation and Nars or MUF primer, to set I use MUF forever HD powder. I exfoliate once a week and moisturize all the time since i have dry/combo skin i also use Argan oil at night.
I use the NARS blush in Orgasm every single day. It's a HG for me, but the only other high end blush I have ever used was Bare Minerals. (Actually, come to think of it, I have never even used a drugstore blush.) I love the softness and natural look of Orgasm, so similar colors would be nice. Any blushes that you think are to die for? (If this helps - I have very pale skin and dark eyes/brows/hair.) Here's a picture.(But please ignore my awful hair. This photo was taken after a VERY long day and i didn't have time to fix it.)
Hi my lovely fellow BTers!!!! I need your help. I'm looking for a new foundation. I have acne prone, combo oily skin with a few dry patches on my cheeks. I am between NW44 and NW45 in the MAC Studio Fix Fluid, 80 Cognac in the MUFE Mat Velvet. I currently use Revlon Colorstay Combo/oily formula and I mix Caramel and Cappuccino. I just want to try something new and don't know what to try. I prefer a demi-matte/matte finish that isn't too heavy, medium coverage, skin like. I still get pretty oily in the winter but not as much as the summer.
Hey all, I keep reading on here about people have problems with foundation "balling up" in various situations but I can't find a picture of what that looks like. I'm curious because I think it might be happening to me; after a few hours of wearing foundation + primer it looks like the color is clinging onto the base of the hairs on my face and/or clogging my pores, as well as flaking off a bit. I just checked the ingredients list and both my foundation and primer have dimethicone pretty high up on the ingredients list (foundation has it as the second ingredient) so I'm wondering if that's part of the problem. for reference i've been wearing this primer and foundation which were suggested to me by a SA: http://www.sephora.com/10-hr-wear-perfection-found ation-P379509?skuId=1492859 http://www.sephora.com/perfecting-ultra-smoothing- primer-P284104
I heard amazing things about this foundation and I want to go and buy it and try it. But I heard one con about it.. that it turns orange after an hour or so.. if thats true I dont want to go and buy it and only get an hour out of it.
Hi ladies! I was hoping someone could help me pick a shade for the above products. I'm referring to the Bobbi Brown concealer kit with the concealer/powder. I currently use Lancome Teint Idole Ultra in 210 Buff N. I don't have a Sephora where I live to get matched. Thanks!
I have bad dark circles....genetics and three kids. Even if I'm well rested I look exhausted! I can't seem to find a good full coverage concealer that doesn't a) wear off easily or b) settle into fine lines under my eyes. Any suggestions?
Hi everyone! So I work at IKEA and we are having our Christmas party in just a little over a week & i need sugestions/ikeas on how on my makeup SO ANY AND ALL HELP IS WELCOMED & APPRECIATED(: I'll be wearing a royal blue skirt that has black lace over it & either a white or black chiffon top. oh just btw my hair is also dark blue & purple. dark brown eyes & light skin hope someone can help me!(:
I bought this brush maybe a few months back and when I went into sephora I noticed that their was fuller and more fluffy where mine is still about the original size. Do I need to fluff it out? Would that make it work better? I've noticed that most other companies brushes for "airbrush" are fluffy and full. How do I fluff it out?
I have very very fair skin. I'm a shade 001 in Clinique. I've been wanting to try highlighting and contouring so I bought the SEPHORA COLLECTION MicroSmooth Baked Luminizer but it has too much shimmmer/glittery appearance for me. I have large pores so the shimmer sinks into them and highlights my pores. I've been looking for a non-shimmery highlighter but haven't been able to find one I can afford. Any advice?
So I was looking around for color matches but I don't know enough about their line or .5 shades, just that they have a huge range that's really light. Im looking to try this in the spring probably during the next fnf but I don't think my sephora carries illamasqua. Shade help? I wear mufe mat velvet 30, hd 120, Chanel aqua b20 and perfection lumiere b10 & ud 3.0. I couldnt find a match in the color iq. If you used it how did you like it?
For Black Friday shopping, I'm planning on going at midnight, but I don't know what to put on my face. Will there be the same consequences as sleeping in makeup, like clogged pores? Also, what should I put on my face for Thursday before midnight then? A revised routine for Thursday to Friday morning would be appreciated so much... Thanks in advance for whatever advice!
I felt like it had been forever since I ordered so I ordered a couple of items that I have been whating to try for a while but I got the wrong color I ordered kat von d lock it foundation in light 42 because in very pale/ fair skin and every time I try a new foundation I'm always the very first one well not this time! It made me look like a ghost literally! I was so white! I'll go next week to return it but I also got shiseido powdery foundation in very light ivory and it's perfect but one problem I didn't realize I ordered the refill! I'mdebating whether I should return it or not. Do you guys have any idea what color I might be in the kat von d foundation?
I have a chance to order one online and I'm wondering if I should take the plunge or not. I have very fair skin (around nw 20) and wasn't sure if the Radiant light would look too orange on me. I am really interested in the other two though, I think Dim light would look so pretty as a nice finishing powder So for those that have seen it and used it so far, how are you liking it? Does the radiant light seem too pigmented for fair skin or can I get away with it by using a light hand with it? Thanks for you help! Jackie
Just trying to figure out if my Ambient Lighting Powder 3 set will fit into my zPalette (height wise) or if they are too thick/tall? Before I start melting the nice package and potentially cracking the powders with my not-great depotting skills, I want to know if they will actually fit. In all my side-inspecting, etc. I can't tell and it is close. I have a large zPalette but NOT THE EXTRA TALL ONE for baked powders. Just the regular. Does anyone know about this? Again they are the smaller powders from the 3 set .
