What foundation is best for fair, oily, acne scars and prone to acne skin? I would prefer a medium coverage foundation. Thanks.

What is the best primer to conceal large pores and help with oily skin?

I need help with foundation! I tend to be more on the oily side and want medium to full coverage. I have tried the Urban Decay All Nighter but did not like that! Also what could be the cause with it sinking in and looking splotchy?

Recently, I'm noticing dark marks which may be early melasma.  Please provide concealer suggestions.

I am 23 and and normal or oily skin (throughout the day it gets oily). I went and a worker paired me up with the "Born This Way" foundation and the "IT" clear powder. I liked the foundation, not so much the powder. Through out the day, I become so so cakey (I use a setting spray and beauty blender once my face is put on to help really set the makeup) and I ALWAYS get thick, gross looking "smile lines" that I have to smooth out with my fingers by the middle/end of the day?? I'm not so into the thick look, I like to be a little more natural but also able to cover small imperfections...I am a nurse and a mom so my get ready time in the morning is almost non-existent. I feel a full coverage powder would help with my get ready time in the morning and wont leave me looking so cakey by the end of the day. I feel like since I'm wanting a more light, natural look I should go with Clinique or Bare Minerals? TIA ))

What foundation should I use in MUFE ultra hd liquid foundation if I am a color IQ of Y109. I have tried coming in store and trying on the different shades but each representative ended up telling me different matches. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey guys,   I'm getting married in June and I'm definitely in need of some makeup recommendations! I'm going to be doing my makeup myself and it's going to need to last from about 10am until 10pm...so pretty much all day, the majority of which will be outside. I've tried so many different foundations and I feel like I have yet to find something that can do everything I need it to. I've been using estee lauder double wear foundation for staying power but I feel like it starts to make my skin look dry and kind of a little more cement-y than I'd like, plus I get definite flashback with it so that's a problem. Basically I need something that will stay on my face through the hot weather, stay looking flawless and not cling to dry patches, and look beautiful in pictures. Any recommendations for primer, concealer, foundation, powder, and lip color is welcomed!

I'm looking for make-up for prom, and all i have is warm, gold toned highlighters. Unfortunately, my dress is navy with silver beading. I need help finding a beautiful highlighter to blind the night away. So, does anyone know an amazing cool toned highlighter?

I am suffering from being fed up with redness on my cheeks! just below my eyes. I am looking for a temporary cover up as well as any suggestions on a way to start helping it potentially go away! I'm up for any suggestions anyone may have! thank you!

Hi, so I love my Tarte clay mask foundatuion, but the only problem is, it doesn't stay on very well? It comes off very easily. Any ideas on how to make it stay on better?

I am looking for a cruelty-free product that doesn't give flashback. Which is better-colored setting powder or a translucent powder? and pressed or loose powder? just what is the best way to set foundation?

Hi everyone! So the past few weeks I've been really into stick foundations - both the hourglass vanish and the lancome teint idole. Both I love and find very similar except you need to swipe the lancome twice as much to get the same coverage as hourglass. That being said, the big problem is I can't get the foundation to "stick" to my nose or t-zone. I have applied with brush and beauty blender - brush application essentially wipes the foundation away, so beauty blender has been my go to.   I have tried pore minimizing primers - e.g. porefessional, tarte timeless smoothing, as well as guerlain l'or (whichcauses my foundation to stick in weird areas making it patchy...only with these foundations though, I love it otherwise), and the foundation just slides around my face and breaks up. I set with laura mercier translucent and then spray UD all-nighter. I LOVE these foundations, but I am scared to touch my face because it will remove my makeup. I have also tried no primer, just my moisturizer (see below), which is better but it still ends up sliding off my nose relatively quickly.   I consider my skin to be normal to dry. My skin routine is as follows:   Night time: Cleanse (amorepacific) w/ foreo luna 2, tone (pixi glow tonic), facial sleeping oil (kiehl's), moisturize (first aid beauty)   Day time: Same as night time but no oil. I was using a serum before moisturizing but I took that out because I thought it was causing my makeup to slide around, but I think it's the silicone primers.   My next step is to try the veil mineral primer by hourglass.   Does anyone have any advice on how to keep my foundation in place? Also, I should mention that this problem happens with most foundations, nothing seems to want to stick! But it's particularly bad with stick foundations. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Anyone tried both? Or either? I have oily/combo skin so no matter how I set it, it will melt off eventually. Are they both needed?  Thanks in advance!

I'm looking for a long wear foundation that has decent coverage and is still hydrating enough for my dry skin. I've tried samples of both the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Foundation and the Smashbox Studio Skin 24 Hour Foundation, but I can't decide which one to purchase. Dry skin girls, which foundation do you prefer?

If Im a deeper warm caramel skin with golden undertones, what would my foundation color be in Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation? Im not sure which one I should get.

Help!  I am getting married in September this year.  My wedding will be outdoors and it will definitely still be pretty warm.  What foundation do you use to look flawless in photos that requires minimal touch-up?  For the most part, I have oily skin.  I do have some acne scaring that I will want covered.  I want something medium-full coverage that isn't going to separate or look cakey in my photos.  I don't live near a Sephora (closest one is an hour & a half away) and I wanted to narrow down my selection to get some samples next time I make the trek.
Face Q&A
I have been using the taste shape tape concealer and it keeps oxidizing on me, I also use the makeup forever matte primer as well. Is there

Day to day I use Dr.Jart BB cream, which I like, but won't be repurchasing. I've used Matte and Poreless in 110 for days when I need coverage, but I just purchased a new bottle and....wtf...it isn't the same somehow? It won't blend into my skin at all and my concealer slides around on the top. So now I need a new foundation and I'd love to step it up from my usual drugstore brand (unless you know of a drugstore brand that is your holy grail).     I dont love full full full coverage. I'm a new mom and just don't have the time.  My skin is combo, dry right now due to hormones, but exfoliates well for a smooth canvas.  It's a little pink, which is all I really want to cover up with my foundation.   Help!

I currently use NARS Radiant concealer in Ginger and want to try the NARS Soft matte concealer.  Would it be safe to purchase the same color?

So I've been on the hunt for a perfect foundation, and have been researching non-stop for the past couple weeks... I NEED HELP! I have combo skin (nose is oily + forehead & everywhere else is normal) with mild acne. I don't have any cysts or anything just some whiteheads here and there, and overall bumpy skin. I was looking for a foundation that is going to hydrate my dry areas but not add too much shine, so more of a satin or demi-matte finish. I also want it to look like skin with a medium, maybe full coverage. Longevity isn't a huge issue but preferably 7+ hours, but I just want it to look more natural and not emphasize my bumpy skin. I have narrowed it down to a couple... -Urban Decay Naked Skin -Smashbox Studio Skin -Lancome Teint Idole  -Clinque Superbalanced   From what options would work the best? I haven't gotten samples because I don't go into the store very often (don't love the customer service). Thank you!

I've been wanting to try out the Double Wear foundation from Estee Lauder, but don't have a Sephora that carries it in-store to get matched. I decided to just purchase online and return it if need be, but now I need help finding a shade.   I've been using MUFE Ultra HD in the shade Y255 and it matches me perfectly. Can anyone recommend a double wear shade they think will work for me?   Please and thank you!

I've heard great things about Kat Von D Lock It Foundation, and have been wanting to try. However, I dont have the chance to try it over a sephora store.. I usually wear MUFE FACE & Body #20,   NC20 on MAC Powder Foundation NARS Sheer Glow in Deuville MAC MUFE VELVET #30 runs a bit dark on me  MUFE HD 117 runs a bit lighter Does anyone know what would be the equivalent shade for this in Kat Von D Lock It Foundation? Thank you

I am currently wearing a 3.25. in Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless foundation. Once spring arrives, I'll wear a 3.5. I have cool toned skin with pink undertones. What shade would I wear in Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation? I purchased 52, but it's a little dark and will probably work fine in summer, but I'm hoping for a better match now.
