So I have super oily skin especially on my right eye and I have tried so many different eye primers and none of them seem to work. I have tried: UD Primer Potion in all shades Smashbox primer (both actually) Too Faced Eye Primer Benefit Stay don't stray Mac Paint Pot I even use the UD Set Spray All Nighter. What do you guys recommend for the best eye primer for oily skin. Something that will help my makeup stay for 10 hours?
I want to get one of these during the August 3rd event, but I need to get some advice. I have medium brunette hair, blue eyes, and light to medium skin with neutral undertones. I have some other palettes (TF Chocolate Bar, Lorac Pro 1/2, Naked 1/2/3, UD Electric, and UD Smoked) and I would like something different than the palettes I have but complementary (if that makes sense) to them. If anyone has tried any of these and have any opinions, pros, cons, ect. on them I would love to hear Thanks in advanced!
I just came back from Asia (business, not fun) and saw that a lot of people there are using something called circle lenses. They're contact lenses that make your eye's iris look bigger. Have you guys ever heard of this here in the US? I'm just curious... (and, honestly, I have no clue in which board to post this... going with eye makeup as it's sounds like the closest)
I am in love with 99.9% of the colors in this palette! I have not tried the MUFE eyeshadows or this "unique gel-powder formula" does it blend easily? Any opinions on the formula? Is it worth the $46 dollars or go for KvD Monarch? So I see that a lot of folks are not liking this new eyeliner, mainly because the formula is so dry that it doesn't go on smoothly. I tried this little trick this morning and it improved things greatly. The trick is gentle heat. You could probably just give the pen a little blast with a hairdryer, but mine wasn't handy so this is what I did. Make sure lid is screwed on nice and tight Place pen tip side down in a mug of hot tap water for about a minute Prep the tip by wiping it clean with a tissue dipped in the hot water and cleaning off any old product Twist and do a couple of test swipes on the back of your hand Ready to go It improves performance quite a bit, as the indirect heat softens the formula just enough. The downside to it is that it can be a little wasteful, as the heat will push out more product than you probably want. But I figure it's not as wasteful as having a $25 eyeliner sitting there that's impossible to use AMIRITE?
So I've been using Urban Decay Primer Potion (alternating between Original & Eden) for the last 5 years I'd say. I'm starting to feel kind of unsatisfied by it. The lasting power with it is phenomenal. However, I have noticed it is not as easy to blend certain eyeshadows when I use it. I alternated to using MAC's paint pot in Painterly which I love. The problem with Painterly is, even though it does make a beautiful base and blending is a dream, it does not hold up well with my eyeshadow. I have creasing and fading after just a few hours. Just for reference, I'm using shadows by UD, MAC, Laura Mercier, MUG, etc. I guess I'm looking for the best of both worlds. I'm looking for an eyeshadow primer that holds my eyeshadow in place all day while not changing the texture of my lids so I can still blend very easily. I love the gradient eyeshadow looks! Any tips or brands recommended? I was thinking of trying the Nars eyeshadow primer but it's $25 a pop which is a little more than I'd like to spend. I'll do it if I must, but I wanted to see what you lovely people had to say first! :-D
Hello, looking for a backup to my KVD Mi Vida Loca palette. How does Marc Jacobs the Siren compare? Are you able to lightly tap and get alot of pigmentation? I know Siren isn't as bright which is a plus for me, just don't know when a NIB Mi Vida Loca is going to come up again on Ebay and I really like to have a back up to her palettes. Should of bought Mi Vida Loca when it went onsale here a long time ago...ugh...*kicks self*
I am soo excited, you guys! I've been on the hunt for the perfect under-eye concealer that will cover and brighten, without creasing, emphasizing my fine lines or looking cakey. I tried Nars Creamy Radiant concealer in color Chantilly, as well as MUFE Full Cover concealer in color Pink Porcelain. These products were OK, but now I have officially found my HG under-eye concealer: Dior Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen in color Candlelight! I was hesitant to use this as a concealer but this really met all my needs and it literally looks like I have nothing on! It doesn't accumulate into my fine lines by the end of the day or look cakey ever. It looks almost sheer but it really brightens my under eyes and completely covers any darkness. Totally worth the money. This is my first official HG product, what's yours?
So my UD Perversion Mascara and Primer came in the mail today, and so far, I really like it! While it doesn't quite compare to my HG YSL BabyDoll, it does give some nice volume (especially when layered over the primer) and lengthens my lashes quite a bit. Plus the packaging is gorgeous, all though not quite what I would call perverse lol. Anyone else tried it yet? Thoughts? Pictures?
I ordered mine from Benefit (you could sign up to get it early) and it came about a week ago. Honestly? I find it soooo annoying. I pretty much only use gel liner so I was really excited for this pen but I still can't get the hang of this thing! When I was taking off my makeup tonight I decided to start playing around with it again. The top pics are a thinner line and the bottom pics I've doubled up. You can see it's kind of difficult to get a nice sharp line. I was watching NikkieTutorials review on YouTube and she said the same thing so at least I don't feel totally incompetent! And you CAN'T make a mistake when applying it because it's a mess to clean up. You'll have to re-do your complete eye and possibly part of your foundation. I dunno, maybe I'm a creature of habit with my gel pots and brushes. I'll keep playing around with it in the evenings when I'm taking off my makeup and see how good I can get but so far it's definitely not a must-have. Anyone else try this yet? I'd love to hear other opinions!

I currently have 11 of the 30 and will be purchasing 4 or 5 more, not interested in the pinks or white colors. Not many reviews on the new mostly swatches right now. Anyone using these new shadows, they are so pretty AND CHEAP!!!
I know people ask lots of questions about which brow product is the best. I'm not saying this is the best one, but it works really well for me! I took 4 pictures: Nothing on my brows, Brow Wiz alone penciled in, Brow Wiz softened up with the attached spool end, and Brow Wiz softened with spool end and topped with some Anastasia Brow Powder. The Brow Wiz is soft brown, the powder is an older Anastasia duo with Medium Ash/Medium Brown. It looks very similar in color to the current Medium Brown duo online. Hope this helps! No Brow Brow Wiz Only Brow Wiz softened with spool end Brow Wiz softened and topped with Powder

Was just browsing Refinery29 and came across this new mascara from Urban Decay, inspired by its ultra black Perversion liners. The article says they spent a long time getting the formula right - not too wet and not to dry. It claims to be clump free, and the wand has bristles that are arranged in a spiral pattern to assure lashes are separated. UD's website has it listed as being released on July 13th. Wonder if Sephora will be getting this (and releasing it early to Rouge's!?)...
Time to talk about mascara! I am usually pretty loyal to my favorite mascaras and it really takes a lot for a mascara to impress me. Last week, I tried Bare Minerals Lash Domination Volumizing Mascara for the first time. I was immediately blown away! The brush is absolutely amazing. I love how you can twist it every which way creating a ton of volume and length.
My natural lashes are short and straight. I usually have to stick to waterproof formulas because I find that waterproof formulas hold curl in my lashes a little bit better than non-waterproof formulas. This mascara held curl just as well as any waterproof formula. It is also very easy to remove! I really love it !
Tell us all about your current favorite mascara! What are your natural eyelashes like? How did this mascara compare to other mascaras you have tried?
I feel like this is a palette that is an all-around favorite for a lot of people (other than a few people that I've seen who complain about the smell). I regret buying it a lot, though. I'm honestly not sure what it is about it, but I can't seem to get it to work for me no matter what I do. The shadows are pretty pigmented, though some of them are useless to me because they're essentially just different shades of slightly sheer white. I just can't seem to make any decent looks with it. Anyone else finding it less than awesome, or have any suggestions for looks?
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide pencils are my go to pencils and I probably have about 15-20 colors. Eek! While I love these pencils and I won't stray for them on the daily I would love to try out liquid eyeliner. Everytime I try liquid eyeliner it's a disaster. I want to acheive that beautiful dramatic black line that I see so often but I have such a shaky hand and the stiff thin tips on the pens and brushes don't help. Is there a liquid liner out there for people like me? Maybe one that is forgiving when it comes to errors and waterproof? : )
Hey! I've got this wonderful little sample palette from Bobbi Brown. It was a 500 point perk a while back. I'd like to get a full sized version of the eye shadow "heather mauve" (top right corner) I can't find it anywhere! Where can I buy it? I asked some ladies at my local Bobbi Brown counter and they said they've never heard of the color
I'm in love with the apricot color in the Chanel Les 4 Ombres in 204 Tisse Vendome! I already have eyeshadow colors similar to the other three, so I was hoping it just be able to get my hands on a dupe for this specific color with the same shimmery finish. Any suggestions?
