I'm been searching long and far for a substitution for the one shade I have run out of in my naked 2 palette, Booty Call (shimmering cork). Of course, UD does not sell it separately. Has anyone found a substitution for this eyeshadow? Thanks!!
Sooooo I've been looking for a liquid eye liner, and I'm new to liners and have never worn it before. (my eye makeup is usually mascara and eye shadow) I am only interested in liquid liners as I feel like they glide on more smoothly without all the tugging and pulling on the eye lid. I was interested in the Kat Van D tattoo liner, or one from Stila that is a water proof liquid liner. ( Cant remember the exact name) I would prefer it to be in an under $20 or so range, and would like recommendations by this Tuesday(the 5th of May) as its my birthday and I will be heading to Sephora then. I really am looking for a long lasting all day black smudge proof, (water proof, etc) liquid liner. ~~ Thanks so much for any suggestions or opinions on letting me know which is personally your favorite. <3
Hi everyone, I am looking for a white eyeshadow base to make the true colors of my eyeshadow pop a bit more. Right now I have been all about the matte colors in my Tartelette palette, but I find I need to use a packing brush to use quite a bit of color to make the colors vibrant, and I have a medium beige skintone. I love how it looks, but I wonder if I use a white base will it be better. Right now I just use UD original primer potion. I was considering the NYX white eyeshadow base or using the NYX jumbo white pencil. Anyone have suggestions?
I'm looking for a good eye cream one for the morning for under my make-up and one for night time. I'm 26 years old and have fine lines under my eyes which causes my under eye concealer to settle and crease in my fine lines. I would like to get some recommendations for both a morning eye cream and a night eye cream and your thoughts and how it worked for you. It can also be drugstore eye creams just as long as it's good and effective. I can't afford something real expensive. I'm currently using a neutrogena eye cream but I don't see drastic results. Thanks
Who else is a fan of Marc Jacobs highliners? They just released 10 new colors. I'm really excited for In the Buff, which Sephora seems to be sold out of already. I thought it would be great to start a post where people can share their looks that they've created with these beauties. I'm mainly curious on how to pull these off, especially the bright colors ;-)
I was wondering if anyone here on BT get lash extensions? I'm thinking of getting them but the beauty salon i'm looking at seems pretty expensive, around $250 for the first set (mink) than touch ups every 6-8 weeks are $50-100. What is mink anyways? The cheaper one that's 75 lashes per eye for $170 the first time. I've seen people with extensions and they look amazing! But, I'm a little worried that I can't wear liner anymore since makeup remover might weaken the adhesive. Also, the price is a little hard to swallow. Ladies, help me make a decision! Should I go get them done?
I bought the Sephora Contour Eye Pencil 12hr Wear Waterproof. After using it up to the point where one needs to twist the end to get more product... I realized my pencil does not give you more product with twisting. Is this a defective pencil or is this how it is designed? I have to think it's defective... there's no way that I would be charged $10 fo so little eyeliner... Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to get the eyeliner out? Thanks.
So I feel like i've tried almost every mascara out there, including those primers before the mascaras and nothing helps. I have really long lashes and it's great and I get complemented on them all the time with people asking me if they're real and what not. The problem is they are stick straight. They look great for the first few hours but after that it's game out. I can play with them to give them a little boost but who wants to keep going that. I curl them, I apply the Diorshow primer and I feel like i've used every mascara under the sun but i'm still open to suggestions so throw them at me. Ones to avoid because i've already used them Guerlain Maxi Lash, Urban Decay Perversion, Benefit They're Real, Too Faced Better Than Sex, Dior Overcurl, Diorshow, YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils, and too many drug store ones to name and one that I thought actually worked pretty well but flaked Also, lash curlers, does brand really matter? And why is it that sometime my lashes will curl the opposite direction, like out instead of back? It's also frustrating because I feel like one eye always curls perfect and other always sucks, kind of like eyeliner, it's the worst!
Hi everyone, I recently bought the Marc Jacobs Twinkle Pop in the shade Leila. I LOVE the color so so much, which is why I am hesitant about returning the product even though I've had some difficulty using it. Even if I do a few thin layers to build up color, it looks very patchy on the lids. The color is not smooth-it looks like a layer of sparkles with a light tint(even less than an hour after application) Does anyone have any tips to better use this product? It would be much appreciated! Thank you!
I tried to attach a couple photos to my public Sephora review of this palette, because I couldn't find many pictures online, but they didn't attach correctly and Sephora wouldn't let me add them later. Lame. Anyway, here's the colors! No matte shades, although those 2 satin shades are close enough that they could be used as a transition/crease or liner without being TOO shimmery. Pigmentation, blendability, texture is all perfect, as can be expected with the nude artist shadows. Overall, I recommend this palette if you want to try a variety of the artist shades with a lower pricetag. I am bummed about the lack of finishes (I really wanted to try at least one matte shade), and I don't think the colors are extremely unique. My skin is approximately NW10-15, so I am very fair, but those two lightest shades are not going to get a ton of use for me, as they are fairly similar and I have other comparable colors, and I prefer a matte browbone highlight than something with that much shimmer. And the satin black is something I think everyone has at this point. The packaging is great. It's weighty, and the size is nice. (A square slightly smaller in length to an iphone 5, for reference.) 3.5 out of 5 stars, in my opinion. I would love to hear your thoughts!
Any ideas or tips on how to do eye makeup for big eyes? I have big eyes and my family members say that when I wear eye makeup I look scary and my eyes pop out even more. And they say that eyeliner makes me look like a witch. I don't want to look scary, I want to look cute. And I haven't found ANY makeup videos on YouTube for big eyes. Does anyone know anything on how to do eye makeup on big eyes?!
These looks absolutely gorgeous! Simply stunning! I like them way more than UD Electric palette, but I don't know anything about these. Have anyone tried them? What are these neon pigments? What is the quality of these pretties, staying power, are they easy to blend? Any info on these beauties is welcome! I only know they are not FDA approved in US for use around immediate eye area. But they are approved in Europe. And they are available in a pressed palette or loose pigments. NecroNeon PhenomeNEON SFX Pressed Pigment Palette AlieNeon Makeup Palette
I had a strange inkling something was up because the shades were constantly oos on the website. Now it is no longer listed on the website as a product being sold. Is it being reformulated or did they discontinue it?
I need an eye concealer that has SPF and won't irritate my eyes. I had lasik a few years ago, and now I'm finding my eyes are getting pretty dry most days. Has to have a natural finish and be really easy to apply. Any recommendations? Thanks!
I have a few neutral palettes and I'm bored to tears with all of them. I also have Kat Von D's Chrysalis and Monarch. Do you know of any palettes that have more eye popping colors? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I posted something about this earlier, but it may have been confusing. For decades I thought I had round or protruding eyes. I definitely have prominent lids. I recently discovered (using the Smashbox YouTube video on eye shape) that my eyes would be what they consider to be downturned. I tried their recommendations for downturned eyes, but my lid is so big that their recommendations don't seem to do anything for me. I feel like I look pale and washed out with light shades on my lid and next to no eyeliner. Can anyone suggest an eye design for downturned eyes with prominent lids?
Hi everyone, I just recently got the Naked 3 palette. I know I'm late but I'm so indecisive about palettes since I don't always use all the colors but so far I love it. I'm wondering what are your favorite combinations of eye shadows from this palette or your favorite looks to create. There are so many beautiful colors I want to make sure I'm using them the best I can and combining them the best way possible. I'd love to hear all the ways you all use this palette!
Has anyone tried Bioderma Crealine H2O Solution Micellaire to remove eye makeup? I know it is harder to get in the US but ive heard great things about it I'm currently using the Clinique take the day off which i love BUT I use it daily so i go through it in about 2.5mons and they don't sell a size larger than a 4oz. And what about the Shisedio The Makeup Facial Cotton, worth the extra $?
I am looking for something new, let me know what you would suggest please I have very long lashes. I used Hypnose for years, but I want something that is more defining since I don't have a problem with volume. I recently tried Rollergal, and I liked the curl, and the way it made my lashes so dark, but I found it clumpy. What do you like that might have the same effect without clumping? Maybe I should try it with a primer? I just picked up the Dior primer. thanks, all.
I have long lashes but they are dark blonde, I'm looking for definition and volume without clumping or the nasty spider look. Currently using Clinique high impact and just got a sample of the Too Faced Better Than Sex but I hate how clumpy my lashes get with both of them! Don't want to spend too much time combing them out every day. What are your suggestions?
OK FELLOW EYESHADOW JUNKIES! I've been seeing a lot of pictures of fall eyeshadow colors using copper and burgundy. I like shimmery colors and want to create a fun look. I already have quite a few palettes and none really have the colors I want. I am looking at the Laura Mercier Terracotta baked eyeshadow. I also saw some good options with Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. Any advice??? Any other great Fall eyeshadow looks y'all have seen lately??? Thanks
With the 15% off love note going on, I'd like to pick up an eye shadow palette or 2 and am having a tough time finding something that I like and that's different! I have very deep set, but large brown eyes and have lighter/fair skin (with dark brown hair). Any time I apply colors like blues, purples, or greens - they tend to make me look like I have a black eye. My go-to's are the Urban Decay naked palettes and I'd really like to try something with more color. Last week, an SA at Sephora suggested Innerstellar by Kat Von D after I explained the situation. She showed me how the dark blue actually had a lighter iridescent payoff on the skin - but unfortunately, after getting home and applying, I didn't see anything like this and just my usual black eye :/. . And not just something I get to gently apply on the outer corners that doesn't actually show up :/. Or am I just doomed to only being able to use color on my eyes in this one single way??
