Naked vs. Naked 2 vs. Naked 3 for a beginner?

Hi everyone!!

I am very interested in getting one of the UD Naked palettes!

I am a beginner in makeup and have yellowish Asian skin tone.

I usually wear natural makeup, but some versatility would be great too!

Which one would you recommend? Naked, Naked 2 or Naked 3?

THANKS! :smileyhappy:

Naked one has never really appealled to me, but I love N2 and N3. I fall on a neatral w/ very slight yellow undertones. N2 would be better with your skin tone, and has more to play with in the way of texture.

The first one I got was the original Naked, I just think it is a little more beginner friendly than Naked 3 even though Naked 3 is my favourite!

Hi Strwbrysnow! I am also a more natural makeup wearer with yellowish Asian skin tone =) The NAKED 2 is my absolute favorite... the colors suit my skin so well and you can do natural looks as well as smokier looks. Since the NAKED 3 is more rose gold toned, I think you should get that one after you've played around with more neutral colors like NAKED and NAKED 2.

I am Asian and light/warm with yellow undertones. I know everyone likes N1 but. I prefer N2. I guess I find the taupes more pleasing for everyday. I feel like N1 is just all brown/bronze and I guess I prefer brown and greys and taupes and N2 works better and is more versatile for me. N3 is pretty but sometimes hard to work with for me. If done wrong, I can look like I have a bruised eye. Its not as versatile for me.

the best starter one would be Naked Basics. Thats my ultimate favorite palette for everyday and travel.

Sounds like you are warm skin toned, so I would go with Naked 1 for sure.

I think its preference, tho personally i am neutral to yellow and don't find rose tones flattering on my skin type. I have N1 &2, and often wonder why i have 2 because im not a fan of the shades in it.

To be honest, I think you could wear all three but most people feel that the first one is the warmest in tone and therefore it might look best on you.  Three is very pretty and you can achieve very soft looks with it. It's my favorite.
