Terrible lighting, but I liked how it came out.

Re: FEBRUARY 2017: 25 Days of EYESHADOW CHALLENGE

Oh man, I am really digging all of the colorful lower lid looks you are doing! I think I might have to dig out my UD spectrum and play around with that...

Re: FEBRUARY 2017: 25 Days of EYESHADOW CHALLENGE

Thanks!  The bronze eyeliner is new, and I can't wait to try it with other colors.  I love a sharp, geometric upper lid with a pop of color below.

Re: FEBRUARY 2017: 25 Days of EYESHADOW CHALLENGE

Beautiful look @Harpier82! Your wing is perfect!

Re: FEBRUARY 2017: 25 Days of EYESHADOW CHALLENGE

Looks like you have an upper (bronze)  and lower (yellow) wing, very cool.

Re: FEBRUARY 2017: 25 Days of EYESHADOW CHALLENGE

Took a break from failing studying for my GMAT  to paint the galaxy on my eyes.

Used my UD Spectrum palette: Omen, Flashback, Voodoo, Prank, and Evidence.

Re: FEBRUARY 2017: 25 Days of EYESHADOW CHALLENGE

Love this, your eyes literally look like a gem!

It took everything in me not to purchase this palette because the only shades I wanted were these stunning purples!!!

Re: FEBRUARY 2017: 25 Days of EYESHADOW CHALLENGE

Wow!  This is beyond gorgeous! 😻😻😻@angelKiss24

Re: FEBRUARY 2017: 25 Days of EYESHADOW CHALLENGE

For the east coast spring in February, I played with greens the other day.

This is is with the Make cosmetics Post-Impression palette, using Storm (inner crease), Hudson Green (crease), Acid (inner corner- it photographed looking greener than it does irl. It's much more yellow), Poison Oak (lower lash line & wing).

ive got to find an everyday look to do with this palette, but whenever I start playing with it, I just want to put All The Color on my face!

Re: FEBRUARY 2017: 25 Days of EYESHADOW CHALLENGE

@playingdressup - I've not heard of this brand.  I love the colors of your swatches.  The colors look great with your eye color.  I will definitely look into this brand (like I need another palette!).

Re: FEBRUARY 2017: 25 Days of EYESHADOW CHALLENGE

Thanks @Titian06! I always want more palettes, And I definitely do not need any!

Re: FEBRUARY 2017: 25 Days of EYESHADOW CHALLENGE

I love this brand—and I love all the very high-fashion looks they're released to promote this palette—but I find this palette so intimidating.  But this look is gorgeous!

Re: FEBRUARY 2017: 25 Days of EYESHADOW CHALLENGE

@Harpier82 Thanks! I like Make too. They used to have a counter at Barneys, but it is long gone and I miss being able to check things out in person. Do you have a favorite palette or product from them? The looks they did to promote this palette were great, but yes, intimidating! And I loved the inspiration too, of the Hudson Valley sunset.

I usually use this palette for nighttime looks, like the greens with black or blues with black for a smokey eye. The colors are so beautiful and rich. I need to try it more during the day, probably as liner or a pop of color under the eye.

Re: FEBRUARY 2017: 25 Days of EYESHADOW CHALLENGE

@Harpier82 - I don't have this palette; this is just a thought.  Since all the colors other than Acid are about the same depth, I would add a cream, light/not too yellow vanilla, or a light gold to the mix.  This would give you a brow bone color and, an inner corner color, something to use with the Acid.  You could then use the Acid as a transition color.  (I don't always use a nude color as a transition color; just something in between the lighter and darker colors).

I am in no way an eye color or eye makeup expert.  This is just my thought on what I would do if I had this palette.  There is no way I could use all these dark colors without adding a much lighter color.

Do you have KVD Matte/Metal palette or Mi Vida Loca palette?  I would try one of those if you do.

Re: FEBRUARY 2017: 25 Days of EYESHADOW CHALLENGE

@Titian06, No, I don't have either of those palettes, beautiful as they are.  I did grab the UD Full Spectrum palette when it went on sale, and have loved it.

The intimidating part of the MAKE Post-Impression palette (as well as their New Medieval palette, actually) is that the greatest strength of the dark colors is their depth and complexity.  They're some of the most interesting and rich shades I've worked with, but it just requires a kind of commitment to color-blocking around the eye that I'm rarely comfortable with outside my living room.  (The same is true for the dark shades in the Calypso palette, which is a year or so old, and I still use religiously.)  I tend to use them as dramatic accent colors immediately around the eye.  I rarely use them as lid colors, but I so admire anyone who does.

Re: FEBRUARY 2017: 25 Days of EYESHADOW CHALLENGE

@Harpier82 - I understand what you're saying!  Using these colors as a dramatic accent is a good place to start.  I would probably use them in my crease and outer V, which is how I normally use dark colors.  I haven't tried color blocking, so you're one up on me!

Re: FEBRUARY 2017: 25 Days of EYESHADOW CHALLENGE

@Titian06 hmm I need try this. Beige lid green crease would probably be pretty!

Re: FEBRUARY 2017: 25 Days of EYESHADOW CHALLENGE

Day 20: That awkward moment when you think you're off work so you decide to play with your eyeshadow only to get called in for a serious case requiring quality time with law enforcement.   I'm certain that had I not worn my badge they would've assumed I was in the wrong location and escorted me away😂😂

Day 20.jpg

I've come to adore my purple shadows in the past year. This was slightly less intense than when I use MUFE M-928.

Used:

Spoiler
ABH Fresh - set primer
ABH Custom & Sangria - blended together above/increase
ABH Chocolate - blended into outer v/outer crease
MUFE I-922 - lid
Lorac Sweet Luxuries beige shimmer tapped into center lid

Re: FEBRUARY 2017: 25 Days of EYESHADOW CHALLENGE

Day 21:  KVD:  Mi Vida Loca Palette in colors Skulls & Lemmy

Not my swatches.
