Ur so brave to try red lipstick. I usually make up my eyes more and stick with a neutral lip. I just haven't been able to find a red that looks good with my light skin, blonde hair, and brown eyes. I know they're out there, but I just haven't looked enough.
Blue-based reds tend to look good on everyone and have the bonus effect of making teeth look whiter. Do you know if you have cool or warm undertones? (If you look better in reds, oranges, yellow, light greens, etc, you're probably warm. If you look better in jewel tones like forest greens, turquoise, dark purple, pinks, you're cool-toned.) That helps with choosing the right red color. For example, for my pink/cool undertones, I find that Clinique's High Impact After Party and Nars Scarlet Empress look best on me. Does that help?
