Good question! I don't know the answer in certainty, but I can say this. When I purchased the original when it was first released, I found the shadows to have more fallout, to be powdery and not the smoothest. When I purchased the second palette, again, at release time, they were creamier and smoother with slightly less fallout. I would say Naked 2 has a consistency more like the Burberry shadows ( obviously not the same, but more like that buttery texture than the original Naked).

The original Naked Palette is not done with the new formula, but Naked 2 is. However, the orignal still has great pigmentation and color payoff.

Hi,
I would for sure recommend buying it. I own both the Naked and Naked 2 palette and find that the pigments are amazing. I find that the Naked 2 palette especially has great pigment payoff. However, I do have both and love them.

I have to agree that the Naked 2 palette seems to be a newer formulation, or at least the shades feel more velvety and buttery than the Naked palette. I still love my Naked palette, but if I were choosing right now, I would only purchase Naked 2.
