Lash Primers

I have been using the Diorshow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum for over a year now & I feel like its time to try something else. What is the best lash primer or some that you think I should try ?

Lancome's lash primer is my newest fave, it doesn't dry down super fast or flake off wheny ou're trying to layer mascara over it, and the formula is really smooth. I've never had an issue with clumps.

Shiseido makes a primer called shiseido nourishing masacara base and I have not changed or wanted to change since I first started using it.

I am LOVING the Shiseido Nourishing Mascara Base.  I used to use the Diorshow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum and liked it, but the Shiseido is my HG lash primer these days.

Here is why:

The Dior dries white while the Shiseido dries clear, so if you missed a lash or two, it's not obvious.

The Shiseido holds the curl much better.  This is a major thing because my lashes are super straight and grows downward-- think wimpy Asian lashes.

And I swear the Shiseido adds length to my short lashes.

The Shiseido + Fairy Drops Scandal Queen mascara holds up in a major rain storm.  I have been caught twice in very heavy rain without an umbrella and to my surprise, my mascara didn't budge.

Hi Lala13,

Another option would be the Tarte MultiplEYE™ Clinically-Proven Natural Lash Enhancing Primer. Its a gentle primer and it contains peptides to promote lash and length growth.

Hi lala13,

I was going to try Dior's mascara primer serum.  I'm wondering how you liked it and if it helped your lashes.  Currently, I have tried one primer  that I liked for the most part...but I was allergic to either the primer or the mascara.  The primer and mascara I was refering to was Estee Lauder's "Lash Primer Plus" and the "Double Wear Zero Smudge Lengthing Mascara."  I may have been allergic to fibers or ingredients in the mascara itself.  As you know, Sephora doesn't carry this brand.  I have been told that Tarte makes a good primer.  I do believe that primers really help add to the effect of the mascara.  Maybe you can call the Beauty VIB hotline and get some insight.
