I have hazel eyes, what eye shadows do you recommend?

I have hazel eyes, and I seem to always wear the same neutrals when it comes to eye shadow. I want to try something more interesting, any suggestions on colors AND brands? I'm a newbie, so anything that is a little easier to pull off.

Hazel eyes look beautiful with purples,plums,blues,teals,grays and golds. I would recommend NARS Daphne e/s, since purple is all the rage right now. If you are a little hesitant about the brightness, all you need is a little smudge of the shadow near your lashline to bring out your eyecolor. Tarte's LE Collector's palette offers many shades that would work for your eye color and the quality of their shadows is top notch. Urban Decay's Half Baked is a super-pigmented gold shade and Goddess is a sparkly dark blue, so those are more colors to look into. If you have a Sephora or Ulta near you, go check them out. HTH!

Thank you. I generally just wear a brown in the middle between lash & brow and highlight brow area with something pinkish white, am I way off?
