To help remedy the look of droopy or swollen eyelids, here's a few makeup techniques that may help:

1) Try a gray/black smoky eye. Sweep a medium gray along the lower half of your upper eyelid, along your lash line. Sweep a darker gray or black right along the lash line on both upper and lower lids. Follow by lining both upper and lower lash lines with black liner. Curl your lashes. Apply black mascara to the upper and lower lashes, making sure to coat the outer most lashes more to open the eye area. Place a dab of white or beige creme shadow to the inner corners of the eyes and to the brow bones.

2) For a more natural look, sweep a neutral light brown over your entire lid. In the inner corners of your eyes and on your brown bone, place a dab of white or beige creme shadow. Apply dark brown liner to the outer 3/4 of your upper lash line. Curl your lashes and finish with black mascara on your upper and lower lashes.

3) If one eyelid seems larger than the other, do not apply color to the crease, this will only enhance the unevenness. Instead, sweep a medium color over the entire eye, and a darker shade along the lash line, and blend well with a shading brush. For blue eyes a medium copper and dark brown shadow, for green eyes an olive-brown and black, or for those who have brown eyes a dusky purple and a deep plum would work perfectly. Line your upper lash line with a black eyeliner, curl your lashes and apply black mascara. Then dab a little bit of white or beige shimmery creme shadow on your brow bone. The focus will shift on your actual eye shape, not your eyelids.  (This technique not only works for uneven eyelids, but for puffy or droopy eyelids, as well.)

Hope this helps! :smileyhappy:
