Eyeshadow for red lips
I think I've found my perfect red lipstick, actually lip pencil by Nars...but I haven't worn it yet...what eyeshadow color combo would be nuetral enough but still make my brown eyes pop some? I cannot not wear any eye makeup. I have both Naked pallettes and some color quads in purples and blues...but I would probably be better with the Nakeds...anyone have a suggestion of what color combos to use for a red lip? I'm told to only play up one or the other. thanks!

Hey! In your case, I would definitely go for a mauve-y purple colour very blended out on the outer half of your eye and a bit in your crease. Use something light on the inner half and BLEND WELL. That would be for a night look, the mauve is a nude-ish colour, and it will accentuate your brown eyes with the purple tones. I recommend skipping any lower rim or upper lash line eyeliner, but feel free to visually thicken your lashes with some black liner in your upper inner rim. And for your cheeks, and soft natural subtle colour will work. One more quick tip: use a cheekbone highlighter so that the red doesn't close your face up!

Lining the upper inner rim is tight lining, no?
