[ Edited ]nars smudgeproof is amazing for me - most formulas won't crease with it for at least 10-12 hrs if at all. (My lids are oily near my lashline, and I'm asian so my lids fold over there..) Nars is by far my favorite, and i've gotten a few friends to convert to it!
however, i do find that some eyeshadow formulas crease faster than others, so you may want to look for more long-wearing shadows if you aren't using some already?

I like Too Faced Shadow Insurance and UD Potion Primer. I have oily, hooded lids and Potion Primer helps prevent creasing for me. Maybe you aren't using enough?

I use Kat Von D's High Voltage Primer in Skin and her Tattoo Concealer. Some times it seems to work others it doesn't. I've tried the Urban Decay and Stay Don't Stray by Benefit but those bothers my eyes. I can't seem to find a good one that works ALL the time and doesn't bother my eyes. I live in Texas now so the heat plays an issue.

When I purchased my Naked Palette I received a sample of the Primer Potion, which I loved. I was determined to purchase the full size until someone turned me on to the NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base. I haven't looked back since. My eye makeup doesn't budge or change in texture from the time I apply it at 7:45 a.m. until I remove it nearly 12 hours later.
It costs a little more than the UD Primer Potion but it's well worth the investment.

The problem could be that you're using too much primer?
or maybe that you arent quite using enough.
either way, i do like Tarte "Lifted" Primer and Smashbox photofiish Lid Primer.
Both are amazing.
Though if you are darker skinned i wouldnt go for the Smashbox Primer, only because it when you put it on it does give a bit of a peachy colour.

Hi Zeli64,
Have you tried the Kat Von D High Voltage Primer in Color Skin-universal neutral beige? I also love it because, it is matte and really grabs onto the shadow. Some people may find that it has strong yellow tones.

Another good eye primer, that I recommend is the Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer. It is slighter warmer than the Kat Von D and it is also matte![]()

I really like Mac Paint Pot in Bare Study or Painterly if you have fair skin. They also have other colors for darker skin tones. You have to put just a little bit or else it will crease later on in the day. It keeps my lids dry and makes my eyeshadows stay in place all day. I bought it a year ago and the container isn't even 1/4 done yet! It lasts such a long time.

I really like the Bare Escentuals eye primer, works really well!
I also love Laura Mercier's Eye Basics. Just a little bit goes a long way!
Sometimes if I am in a hurry I use my Makeup Forever face primer in yellow.

How much primer are you using? Only a tiny bit is needed. I use UD's primer in Sin and use just the head of a pin for each lid. Don't over apply primer, that can lead to shadow not fully setting and thus causing creasing.

I used both Benefit and Urban Decays for over a year and always had problems with my shadow creasing. I'm now using Too Faced Shadow Insurance and I find it's working much better. Next I will try the Nars primer.

Hi Zeli64,
You can also try using a bit of concealer before your eye primer for extra hold. Also, what type of eye cream are you using? I like to wait till my eye cream is slightly dry before putting on a primer. I also suggest the Laura Mercier Eye Basics. The shades are all neutral and are also waterproof!

LORAC's Behind the Scenes Eye Primer is by far the best I've used. I've tried UD Primer, Too Faced, Smashbox, Kat Von D, etc. but nothing holds a candle to LORAC's. It's very creamy, the consistency is similar to that of a good eye cream. It applies evenly, which in turn makes your eyeshadows glide on perfectly. A tube will last you forever, a little goes a long way. It also makes my shadows last longer, stay true to color, and appear more vibrant. I can't rave enough about this primer.
