Anastasia: DipBrow, Powder duo or Brow Wiz?
I'm in the market for a new brow product. I currently use Tarte's emphasEYES brow pencil (in Rich Brown) but I want I bit more precision in my application and I find that Tarte's product is a bit too soft and tends to get everywhere.   I'm looking for a natural and defined look. So nothing dramatic, but just something to make them darker, more defined and with clean lines. Lately whenever I use the Tarte spoolie to blend out the product, it gets everywhere and make my brows look blurry/fuzzy on the edges. Not a fan.   I'm assuming all of the Anastasia brow products are advertised as smudge proof, but are they all, really?   I got a sample of the powder duo and am trying it out today and I'm liking it. But I'm concerned about the powder falling out onto my cheeks throughout the day or as the product gets older. Have you experienced this? I'm also not sure how much use I'll get out of the lighter color. I think my sample is in Dark Brown and the light powder is a light brown...not sure if that would even show up on my brows!   I naturally have jet black hair that I lighten with semi-permanent dye into a dark, dark brown.   Which do you prefer, between the dipbrow, powder duo, brow wiz, and why?

I like the powder duo because I already have full brows so it adds to my natural look. I was told that the dipbrow is for a more dramatic look. see post
Q. Eye help!
I always have trouble putting liner on my top lash line. it always seems thicker on the outer edge and gives me a lot of trouble on my outer corner almost like theres too much skin on my outer V. I would love to do a small wing! i also hate that my brow bone seems too high. When I watch tutorials they always highlight their brow bone and i don't because my eyeshadow doesn't ever reach that high!    Help

Newly Reformulated Diorshow Mascara
Recently Dior reformulated their Diorshow mascara. The new formula is enriched with fibers to thicken without clumping and an air lock wiper was added to reduce oxygen interaction and therefore extend mascara lifetime. Sephora/Dior gifted me this mascara and I wanted to share my opinions.   My Lashes and typical routine:   Spoiler (Highlight to read) I have natural curl to my lashes and they have decent natural length too. Therefore, if you are looking for mascara that will curl your lashes I don’t think my review will be able to answer that question. Typical routine: Step 1) Dior maximizer plumping serum (adds volume and makes the mascara stay put) Step 2) Guerlain Maxi lash (separates/fans out lashes, makes them black from root to tip). For the second step I also am happy using Hourglass Nior mascara or Dior It lash mascara. I have natural curl to my lashes and they have decent natural length too. Therefore, if you are looking for mascara that will curl your lashes I don’t think my review will be able to answer that question.Typical routine tep 1) Dior maximizer plumping serum (adds volume and makes the mascara stay put)Step 2) Guerlain Maxi lash (separates/fans out lashes, makes them black from root to tip). For the second step I also am happy using Hourglass Nior mascara or Dior It lash mascara.     What I expect out of a mascara: It needs to separate my lashes and fan them out, it needs to add volume to each lash without major clumping, it needs to make them look black from root to the very tip, and it needs to stay put (no smudging, no flaking) for at least 12+ hours without being waterproof. I know these are high expectations but I love my lashes and I always buy full-size high end mascara. So when I am spending ~$28 a tube every 3-4 months it better be good!   Application: I am not used to such a large brush head, so I found I went a bit slower than normal. Other than that it was no different than other mascara’s I use. No special side of the brush to use, no special angle, no special swiping motion, etc.   Did it meet my expectations: · Separation/Fan out: Yes. I saw no major clumping even after two coats. See photos below. · Volume/black from root to tip: Yes. I felt like it definitely took two coats for me to get the volume and blackness from root to tip I desire, but I was very pleased with the result after two coats. See photos below. · Longevity: Mostly Yes. I did notice flaking after +8 hours of wear. Not major flaking but when I looked close in the mirror I could see the little black specs that had fallen off and landed on my face. I found using this mascara with the Dior maximizing serum extended the longevity but also made it clump more.   No mascara: Spoiler (Highlight to read)  One coat of mascara: Spoiler (Highlight to read) Two coats of mascara:   Final opinion: So far, I have used this mascara every day for over 2 weeks. I like this mascara and intend to use it until it is finished. I am finally getting used to the large brush head so I will buy this again.   Lastly, I must give credit where credit is due! I want to thank Sephora/Dior for gifting me this mascara. I was gifted this mascara but the opinions shared in this review and the time spent evaluating this mascara were all my own.

Smokey eye - Which color?
My prom is next weekend and I want to create the perfect look. I'l be wearing a black dress and I'm accessorizing with red; I have red shoes, read earrings, and I was planning on doing a red lip. I'm conflicted because I don't know what to do for my eyes. I have blue eyes and I ant to make them pop with a glamorous, possibly smokey eye. How do I know if I should I do a black smokey eye or a brown/bronze/gold smokey eye?

Lash Extensions
I was wondering if anyone here on BT get lash extensions? I'm thinking of getting them but the beauty salon i'm looking at seems pretty expensive, around $250 for the first set (mink) than touch ups every 6-8 weeks are $50-100. What is mink anyways? The cheaper one that's 75 lashes per eye for $170 the first time.   I've seen people with extensions and they look amazing! But, I'm a little worried that I can't wear liner anymore since makeup remover might weaken the adhesive. Also, the price is a little hard to swallow. Ladies, help me make a decision! Should I go get them done?

What is your favorite eye shadow palette?
Hey, beauties! I want to buy an eye shadow palette. I don't wear eye shadow everyday, only for special occasions. The only one I have is just a basic drugstore brand. I believe it's called The Nudes by Maybelline. I always hear great things about the Naked palettes by Urban Decay and the Chocolate Bar ones by Too Faced. What's your favorite eye shadow palette?

If you could only have ONE eyeshadow palette or handful of singles, what would you choose?
This is a question that's always intrigued me. I LOVE makeup, but I had a bad habit of buying too much eyeshadow I didn't need and tried to slim my collection down - I wanted just enough to create a variety of looks, but not enough to be overwhelming. So I settled on one eyeshadow palette and a handful of singles. But the process made me think; what couldn't I live without? It was interesting.   But if we were all stranded on a desert island and could only bring one palette what would you bring?   For me, it's the Too Faced Boudoir Eyes palette! <3 It's so perfect. Any of the shadows can be worn alone for that dainty, princess-like girly look I love, several are ideal highlighters, and you can make a smokey eye.    But! I know some people would rather discuss individual eyeshadows they can't live without, so throw those out too!

My thoughts on the new Diorshow formula
As some of you may know, a new Diorshow formula will be available soon; it will be sold to VIB and VIB Rouge before it is available to everyone.   http://www.sephora.com/diorshow-mascara-P396240?sk uId=1689744   I was lucky enough to be gifted a tube of this new mascara, courtesy of Dior partnering with Sephora.  I'm sure I was chosen for this particular gift due to my numerous posts declaring this product as my HG mascara.  I was asked to post on BT and write a review after trying it; so, I am here to share my thoughts with you all.   Spoiler (Highlight to read) Here is the new box.  It arrived rather smashed up but the product itself was perfectly fine.   Spoiler (Highlight to read)   The top picture shows a comparison between wearing Diorshow's new formula (over Diorshow primer) on the left and my natural eyelashes without any product on the right.  The bottom picture shows Diorshow primer and the Diorshow new formula mascara on both lashes.     My thoughts:  As a big fan of the prior formula, I was very interested to see what changes Dior made.  In my opinion, this new formula mascara seems to be a little creamier and shinier than the old formula. It was very easy to apply and it did not clump at all.  I didn't even need to run an eyelash comb through it, which is always a plus.  I found it to be still as dramatic as ever and the staying power also continues to be excellent. Again, Diorshow is a winner and I am happy to say it will remain my HG mascara.

Tell me about your Laura Mercier Eye Art Artist's Palette
I don't wear eyeshadow frequently but whenever I do I find myself wishing for plum or purple eyeshadows. I've been told they really complement my almost-black brown eyes.  I have Naked 2 and Naked 3 but those colors lean more brown/rose gold.   I noticed in the LM palette that there are quite a few purple shadows but I also read that the top row is cool toned while the bottom is warm... I am without a doubt warm-toned. So, would it be worth getting the palette for the purples if they're cool-toned? Do you find that the plums on the top row are actually cool? I always associated the word "plum" with warm for some reason, but I guess not in this case?   If you have the palette and love/hate it, please do tell!

Hooded Eyes Help
Hello beautiful gals,   I have a serious eye shadow problem. I have fairly small hooded eyes. I always start by applying primer then a crease color. I have a simplehuman mirror so I do it very carefully and blend blend blend. Then I do my base colors and corners etc. but no matter what, by the time I blink they all blend a little more together and start looking muddy.   I've tried different primers including urban decay and too faced shadow insurance but same result. I use high quality shadows (burberry, dior) so I know it's not that.   Is it my technique? Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Best liquid liner anyone?
Sooooo I've been looking for a liquid eye liner, and I'm new to liners and have never worn it before. (my eye makeup is usually mascara and eye shadow) I am only interested in liquid liners as I feel like they glide on more smoothly without all the tugging and pulling on the eye lid. I was interested in the Kat Van D tattoo liner, or one from Stila that is a water proof liquid liner. ( Cant remember the exact name) I would prefer it to be in an under $20 or so range, and would like recommendations by this Tuesday(the 5th of May) as its my birthday and I will be heading to Sephora then. I really am looking for a long lasting all day black smudge proof, (water proof, etc) liquid liner. ~~ Thanks so much for any suggestions or opinions on letting me know which is personally your favorite. <3
