I am interested in buying an eye palette for everyday makeup looks and I'm trying to figure out what to buy next. I already bought the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette so that's out. Information about me is that I have green eyes and my skin tone is light to median.
I can see myself using both of palettes but not the two pink colours in the modern renaissance palette. Despite that I've had my eye on both these but really not sure which I should purchase, any advice on the products or personal experiences would be great!
I have black eyes and I'm tan with yellow under tones (MAC nc42) . Should I get the UD naked palette or the too faced natural eyes palette? Which one has better pigmentation? ( I don't own any eyeshadow palettes) I prefer slight shimmer over mattes. Please help
I've been looking at Urban Decay's Naked palettes, including the original, Naked 2, and Naked 3. Just wondering what you guys have thought of the pallets and which one you like best and/or recommend... I have dark brown eyes and light-medium skin tone if that makes a difference.
Currently I am using the Tarte clay paint liner from a set available during the holidays last year. I like it for application but I wish it was a true dark black. I have never been very adept at pen liners and I have most experience using pot gel liners. Can you suggest a very black liner?
I was sooo disappointed to find out that Dior had discontinued their Extase line of mascara and need a good alternative. Tried Better than Sex, Rollerlash, They're Real (different but better than the others), Diorshow, ect but haven't found one that lives up to Extase. Your suggestions are appreciated- thank you.
I realized that the last time I purchased any new eye palettes was almost two years ago and my oldest one being 3 years old (TF original Chocolate Bar palette). That explains why I am a little bored with what i have. My current collection is the TF chocolate bar, semi sweet and born bon palettes as well as the TF sugar pop palette and the Tarte Aqualillies (my absolute favorite palette) palette. I am incredibly fair (I wear TF Born This Way in Snow) with blue eyes and light brown hair. I don't know if it is the age of my palettes but the TF chocolate bar palettes seem to be harder to blend than they used to, unless that is my imagination. I am uninspired by a lot of the palettes out right now but the two I am eyeing are the TF sweet peach and the Tarte tartlette in bloom. I am looking for something that will create a nice daytime look but can go a little darker for nighttime if needed. It seems lately that all my looks turn out darker, but that could just be me getting carried away trying to use a lot of shades. I am curious to try more Tarte eye products as I love the Aqualillies palette and it is my only experience with Tarte eye products. Does anyone know if they have a new eye palettes coming out soon? What do you think of the two palettes I am eyeing? Are they good options or should I stear clear? I forgot to mention, I have cool undertones if that helps. Thanks!
I'm addicted to Stila Smudge Stick but the caps are terrible, constantly fall off or crack, leading to dried up twist pencils and wasted $. I read I can re-soften with a little heat, but is the effect permanent or do I need to apply heat every time? Threw all my dried ones away and I'm trying to decide whether to re-invest in new pencils with bad caps. Also, the candle trick is described for wooden pencils but what about twist-up pencils from a plastic tube like Stila? Thanks!
Hi! So I finally purchased a modern renaissance palette after seeing the 4.8 star reviews and the very pretty swatches! However..... I can't seem to get a nice look on me without looking like I bruised my eye! I usually use either the UD naked 3 palette or TooFaced Peach Palette.. I've also tried youtubing for looks but none of them see workable. If you have any tips on what colors to put wherever on the eye, please let me know! I don't want to have to return the palette! The colors are soooo pretty! Preferably I'd like less intense looks, more of a subtle look (I have fair color skin, dark brown eyes, asian so no crease but big eyes, ) Thanks!
I've been considering purchasing a high end eyeshadow palette. I have narrowed it down by process of YouTube videos and what color schemes look most appealing to me. Between the Tartlette In Bloom palette and the ABH Modern Renaissance palette, which should I pick and why?
I have the Kevyn Aucoin Contour Book Volume II (shortening the product name) and love soft the shimmer shadows look are on the eyes. Does anyone know of any other formulas that are like it? I just love this type of shimmer for daytime; it feels really sophisticated for the office.
Going to Hawaii in May and wanting a easy travel eyeshadow palette that can take me from day to night. I have the Too Faced Matte eyeshadow palette and hate it, as the colors tend to not blend well and get muddy very quickly. I am looking at: NARSissist Loaded Eyeshadow palette Tartelette Tease Tartelette in Bloom Tartelette Pro Amazonian Clay Bare Minerals Bare Neutrals Any opinions on these? Thanks in advance!
I haven't been active in a looooong time. Now that my kid is almost 5, I'm starting to have time for me and looking for some advice on liners. Ready to play around with winged liners, etc and am looking for excellent pigmentation and waterproof. What's your favorite????
Hi all! I'm not all too sure if there's even such a thing as gothic makeup (as far as the look goes), but thought I'd ask if anyone has any tips for eyeshadow/blush application and any brands geared towards that aesthetic. I'd love if you guys could share any youtubers, instagrammers, or even pics of yourselves for inspiration!!!
