Behold the power of Anastasia Brow Wiz!
I know people ask lots of questions about which brow product is the best. I'm not saying this is the best one, but it works really well for me! I took 4 pictures: Nothing on my brows, Brow Wiz alone penciled in, Brow Wiz softened up with the attached spool end, and Brow Wiz softened with spool end and topped with some Anastasia Brow Powder.   The Brow Wiz is soft brown, the powder is an older Anastasia duo with Medium Ash/Medium Brown. It looks very similar in color to the current Medium Brown duo online. Hope this helps! No Brow   Brow Wiz Only   Brow Wiz softened with spool end   Brow Wiz softened and topped with Powder

YSL gel liners?
I'm honestly always on a hunt for a better eyeliner. eyeliners that glide on smoother, that stay on longer, and is better value..    I have purchased and used the Bobbi brown's gel liner 2 times, but I'm not crazy about them. They stay on a bit better than Nars cream liners, but still isn't enough.. my undereye area gets very very messy after about 4 hours.    I'm interested in the YSL gel liners, but like all other YSL products, the reviews are "too glowingly positive"  For ex. their stick concealer and touche eclat foundation are nice, but they're not worth 5 star reviews. (at least in my opinion)    Has anyone with eyes that are prone to smudging easily tried he YSL gel liner? (monolid reviewers would be even more helpful)

UD Perversion Mascara: Collective Thoughts?
So my UD Perversion Mascara and Primer came in the mail today, and so far, I really like it! While it doesn't quite compare to my HG YSL BabyDoll, it does give some nice volume (especially when layered over  the primer) and lengthens my lashes quite a bit. Plus the packaging is gorgeous, all though not quite what I would call perverse lol. Anyone else tried it yet? Thoughts? Pictures?

A Hack for the new Benefit They're Real eyeliner
So I see that a lot of folks are not liking this new eyeliner, mainly because the formula is so dry that it doesn't go on smoothly.  I tried this little trick this morning and it improved things greatly.   The trick is gentle heat.  You could probably just give the pen a little blast with a hairdryer, but mine wasn't handy so this is what I did.   Make sure lid is screwed on nice and tight Place pen tip side down in a mug of hot tap water for about a minute Prep the tip by wiping it clean with a tissue dipped in the hot water and cleaning off any old product Twist and do a couple of test swipes on the back of your hand Ready to go It improves performance quite a bit, as the indirect heat softens the formula just enough.  The downside to it is that it can be a little wasteful, as the heat will push out more product than you probably want.  But I figure it's not as wasteful as having a $25 eyeliner sitting there that's impossible to use AMIRITE?

Liquid Eyeliner for the Unsteady Hand?
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide pencils are my go to pencils and I probably have about 15-20 colors. Eek! While I love these pencils and I won't stray for them on the daily I would love to try out liquid eyeliner.   Everytime I try liquid eyeliner it's a disaster. I want to acheive that beautiful dramatic black line that I see so often but I have such a shaky hand and the stiff thin tips on the pens and brushes don't help. Is there a liquid liner out there for people like me? Maybe one that is forgiving when it comes to errors and waterproof? : )

Anyone else try They're Real gel liner by Benefit yet?
I ordered mine from Benefit (you could sign up to get it early) and it came about a week ago. Honestly? I find it soooo annoying. I pretty much only use gel liner so I was really excited for this pen but I still can't get the hang of this thing! When I was taking off my makeup tonight I decided to start playing around with it again.   The top pics are a thinner line and the bottom pics I've doubled up. You can see it's kind of difficult to get a nice sharp line.   I was watching NikkieTutorials review on YouTube and she said the same thing so at least I don't feel totally incompetent! And you CAN'T make a mistake when applying it because it's a mess to clean up. You'll have to re-do your complete eye and possibly part of your foundation. I dunno, maybe I'm a creature of habit with my gel pots and brushes. I'll keep playing around with it in the evenings when I'm taking off my makeup and see how good I can get but so far it's definitely not a must-have. Anyone else try this yet? I'd love to hear other opinions!

Aging Eyelids
In the last few weeks sometimes I noticed my eye shadow wasn't appearing smoothly on my eyelids. I tried switching up my primer and using a MAC Paint Pot. Sometimes I'd get the wrinkling then, too. Now I'm starting to realize it's probably just me. I suppose people start getting crepey eyelids around 40. Any advice on a treatment or primer that will smooth them out? I've tried UD Antiaging and it wasn't that great as a primer.

Coming Soon: UD Perversion Mascara
Was just browsing Refinery29 and came across this new mascara from Urban Decay, inspired by its ultra black Perversion liners.   The article says they spent a long time getting the formula right - not too wet and not to dry. It claims to be clump free, and the wand has bristles that are arranged in a spiral pattern to assure lashes are separated.   UD's website has it listed as being released on July 13th. Wonder if Sephora will be getting this (and releasing it early to Rouge's!?)...

Matte neutral eyeshadow palette?
Hi all,   I've been looking around for a palette that would work for my new job, somewhere where shimmer is not really an option. I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions?   Most of the palettes suggested in previous similar posts were limited edition or discontinued (very much regretting not buying the Laura Mercier Artist's Palette or the Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Palette last year when I considered it!). Some of the ones I've considered are: SMASHBOX - Master Class Palette III (my top pick right now for selection and price, but worried about pigmentation differences between this and the single shadows since it's been an issue in many palettes, NARSissist anyone?) SEPHORA COLLECTION - Colorful 5 Eyeshadow Palette N°05 The Essential Mattes (color selection is a bit small)   TOO FACED - The Chocolate Bar Eye Palette (everyone loves it, but it only has 5 matte browns and no black)   TOO FACED - Matte Eye Shadow Collection (similar concern about a lack of darker liner colors, and the wearability of some of the shades for me) Anyone have additional suggestions or experience with any of these? For reference, I'm very fair, pink undertones, with blue eyes and dirty blonde hair.
