It is one of my favorite eye shadows of all time. It looks like the palette is being discontinued, and I'd rather find a single eye shadow dupe than buy a whole new palette for the one shade. Any one know of anything?
Hi! I'm struggling with which shadows to buy with my tax money, I already have inglot shadows and love them they blend very easy. I'm very impressed and I love the freedom system. But, I've heard good things about anastasia shadows as well, just wondering if anyone has an opinion on them, or another alternative.
So I've noticed when I bother to properly conceal my under-eye bags that the skin right at the root of my lower lashes looks pink and slightly irritated. It's definitely not a reaction, they're always like that, it's just more obvious without the purple below. I've tried using a dude eyeliner on my waterline and it helps a little but I don't know how to get at the skin right at the root of my lashes without it getting all over the lashes. Any advice for how to cover this up?
I've come to the realization that I tend to buy a lot of the same colors of shadows, largely because I don't like how really vivid, true colors look on me so I tend to gravitate more towards neutrals. I have a lot of dusty purples and warm browns and light pinks. For me it feels like the hole in my collection is some cooler toned neutrals. I already have the Naked 3 palette, the Smashbox Photo Op Trio in Sepia, Nars Ondine, Clinique / Colour Surge Eye Shadow Trio Come Heather, a Sephora Smokey Eye Palette that doesn't seem to be around anymore, Benefit Peek a Bright, the Boudoir Eyes Palette, and the latest urban decay ammo palate for fun. I've heard people recommend Naked 2 as being cooler, but it still doesn't seem that cool to me. Are there any others you'd recommend. I'm open to single shadows as well as palettes, trios, etc. Bonus if it's UD given there is a sale right now, though I also really like the Smashbox and Nars formulas on my skin type and am open to other brands.
Hi! I love the look of eyeliner in my waterline, but I have really watery eyes, so most won't stay. For most of them, they don't even last an hour. I've tried Makeup Forever Aqua eyes in pencil form, which lasted a couple hours but that's been the longest. I've also tried Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner, but that was a dissapointment. I had a castmember recommend Stila, but I wanted to ask first. Anyone have any recommendations?
So I've gotten a little bit of an obsession started with trying to find the perfect green eyeliner - not just any green, it has to be cool toned, not gold-green, not khaki-green, not grass-green, not even touching something lime green. While pastel greens might technically count as cool toned, they remind me of some pictures I've seen from the 80's too much to be considered for this particular color hunt. Teal is an option as long as it's more green than blue while still being cool toned. I've tried doing some preliminary research on my own and keep getting results for 1.) brand product pages, 2.) not cool toned greens, 3.) best colors for green eyes, and 4.) You must have entered the search terms incorrectly, you meant you want to find purple plum and copper colored products right? Because that's what we're going to show you regardless! Also, just my luck, cool toned greens are the ones that have not been specifically addressed/reviewed/swatched/found dupes for on temptalia. So here I am, asking my fellow BTers for their help with finding the very specifically cool toned greens that can still be found (no LE shades from 2011!) without resorting to the price gouging mega-retailer sites!
Does anyone have recommendations for eyeshadow palettes for women with darker skin who want a more natural look for daytime? Most of the eyeshadow palettes that are advertised as such tend to be for those of lighter skin tones. Is there anything out there for us??
I need to buy eyeshadow brushes and don't know how to start. I need to know exactly the brushes I need to buy, from creating a natural casual look to the smokey eye I love so much. Please help! Thanks!
I'm Korean, so my eyelashes are very thin and they point straight down. I curl my them before I apply mascara but they droop down unless the mascara is waterproof. I've been wanting either the Benefit They're Real or the Too Faced Better Than Sex but I realized that there wasn't a waterproof one available. Does anyone know if they hold a curl like waterproof mascara does?
I have been using UD's Perversion. I loved it for awhile. But it seems like it is not consistent. My lashes seem awesome one day but meh the next. And it has some clumpy days too. Those days seem to be increasing. I'd like to buy something new. I'm not sure what direction to go in. I'm leaning towards the Diorshow. But even then I'm not sure which one I want. Any recommendations? Thanks!!
I love the look of thick, long, full lashes but mine aim kind of down, they are also thin (but long!). I was wondering what mascara I should use and if there are any other tricks I could try. I'm Korean and have the mono lid that so many other Asian girls do. Thanks in advance!
Anyone else always on the hunt for the perfect one? The ones have in regular rotation right now are, top to bottom, Stila - Pink Violet, UD - Rockstar, UD - Lust, UD - 1999, Cargo - Pfeiffer Beach and Stila - Purple Tang
Usually, I can make a palette work for me, but the Smashbox Heatwave Palette is just not doing the trick for me. The colors are pretty, but they go on really light. Plus the fallout is ridiculous. I bought it a long time ago, so I'm gonna have to MsGyver this bad boy and use some colors with other palettes I have to make it work. I guess I can try it wet, too. I haven't done that yet. What eyeshadow palette to you regret purchasing? http://www.sephora.com/product/productDetail.jsp?k eyword=SMASHBOX%20Heat%20Wave%20Eye%20Shadow%20Pal ...
Why do some of the the urban decay naked palette shades contain parabens while the stand-alone shades (same colors!) do not? I'm allergic, and am always looking for paraben-free, and this just seems odd...
I look tired all the time (maybe I am). The bags under my eyes are horribly puffy. How do I hide them? Is there a product that will actually reduce the swelling? I have tried Mary Kay and anything I can find a the drug store. I have no problem spending money for it.
Hey ladies, so long story short, I have really oily eyelids and I've tried Urban Decay potion primer and Mac Pro longwear separately but they don't last longer than 2 hours!!! Any suggestions on a great eye primer?!
Just received my package yesterday with 9 shades, and while I LOVE all of them there are a few that stand out - golden khaki D320, black purple ME930, crystalline gray beige D552, and pinky earth I606. i ordered more matte shades for a my transitional/crease, and I have a feeling I'll be ordering more very soon so so what are your fav colors and color combos?? -Maggie
I've been looking for a good foundation brush. I currently have Dior light and full coverage brushes, and Tom ford cream foundation brush.. which I'm not that impressed with. so I'm looking for a replacement for the TF brush. I use Estee lauder double wear mixed with MAC strobe cream. so quite liquidy and creamy at the same time.. there is not much of a comparison review btw the marc jacobs brushes.. and not many in general about the BB full coverage brush.. any advice would be more than appreciated!
I'm currently using the Sephora Contour Eye Pencil in Blonde Ambition for my lower waterline. I like the look of it, however the liner sometimes ends up getting onto my contact lenses. Needless to say it's very annoying and it can be a pain to get off the lenses. Is there an eyeliner that will stay put on the waterline? I'm particularly wanting either a white or nude colored one.
I used L'Oreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara for years. I have tried other tube mascaras like Blinc and Fiberwig. Both disappointed me. They clumped and did not give me lashes that were nearly as long as the L'Oreal product...and for more than twice the price! I suspect the secret is the primer on one end of the L'Oreal product. I'm not really a person who is willing to buy a separate product, but if the primer is on the other end, I'm going to use it. Anyway, in November, I noticed that my new tube of L'Oreal did not act like the earlier tubes. A few weeks ago I bought another tube at another store in a different state...same clumpy results. They must have changed the formula. Anyone have a good formula to recommend? I hate trying to get off waterproof mascara and it seems to take me days after I've stopped using waterproof mascara to actually get it off even if I use makeup remover. I'm actually someone who hates to lug around a tube of makeup remover, so that's why I love tube mascaras: they're waterproof in the rain and workout, but they come off with a little soaking at night (no extra products to throw into my gym bag). The cheaper the better because I toss my mascara four times a year!
