Dry Skin Talk
I think it's about time we have a place for people with dry skin to talk their dry skin, share, discuss, help each other with their skincare routines, problems, goals.... Skincare. Life style changes. Anything. As much as we can. We don't have to be experts to help each other out. Maybe our experiences combined and put together can produce something helpful and beautiful for every fellow dry skin person that might seek help, word of advice, or simply a "safe haven".   Of course, you don't have to have dry skin to join us. Anyone with some wisdom willing to share is welcomed here!

Dry flaky skin leading to patchy makeup
Lately I have been really trying to perfect my skincare/makeup routine but I have been having trouble with dryness and makeup looking patchy half way through the day,   I use a cleanser with 5% salicylic acid to combat acne (this may be causing dryness?). I use this morning and night.   Then I use a nivea facial cream for dry skin, morning and night. Sometimes 3 times a day.   I also just starting using first aid beauty's moisturizing primer under my makeup. I use a Mac foundation and concealer.   i also exfoliate every other day with a light scrub by boire.   What can I do differently? what does a girl have to do to keep a nice even face of makeup from going flaky and patchy half way through the day?

Dry skin and nothing seems to be working
Hello all! I have very dry skin, and I am at a loss when it comes to fixing the situation. I use Clinique's 7 day scrub every few days, and CeraVe hydrating facial cleanser when I am not using the scrub. I go in with Peter Thomas Roth's water drench cloud serum and for moisturizer I use Neutrogena hydro boost or First aid beauty face cream. When I am not wearing foundation, you can't see the flakes as much obviously but my face doesn't feel smooth... But when I am wearing foundation the dry patches are SO bad mostly on my forehead but pretty much every where. I really don't know how to get this under control. I use IT cosmetics your skin but better cc+ cream.. and so far it has been the least drying.. But since it is so thick and almost oily feeling I would need to set it.. Which I can not go near powder or it makes the situation 10x worse.   Any suggestions for exfoliators, moisturizers, serums or even foundations?

How to fix dry, powdery makeup?
So I've been using Tarte's Shape Tape Concealer and Pixi's H2O Skin Tint and I find it looks very dry and powdery especially on the nose and between the brows. I've tried exfoliating and using masks and I use First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration for a moisturizer. I've also tried multiple primers including Too Faced Hangover Primer, Smashbox Iconic Photo Finish Foundation Primer, Smashbox Photo Finish Pore Minimizing Foundation Primer , First Aid Beauty Coconut Smoothie Priming Moisturizer and Benefit's Porefessional Primer. It looks this way whether I put powder on top or not. I've also tried Tarte's Rainforest of the Sea Marine Boosting Mist and Vichy Thermal Water spray before and after application. I've use a beauty blender, brush and my fingers and still the same. Any other suggestions? Do you think it's my skin, the products, or something else? Would you recommend a different primer? I have normal to dry (not extremely dry or flaky) skin, not many pores, can get redness at the base of my cheeks and sometimes minor acne.

Thank you so much in advanced! I am 22 btw!   Here is what I am doing right now.. I usually wake up and just wash my face with water and then moisturize + spf before makeup. What products you have to suggest for me
Hello, all. I am Janet, friends call me Jo. I work for a firm in Toronto. I am an accountant by profession. The work is hectic and because of this, my face has become dull . I happened to follow a diet plan so as to control my weight and belly size and after this, I got a wonderful change in my overall size of my body. But my face got saggy and turned dull. My skin was dry, so I underwent a facelift treatment ( http://www.drkreidstein.com/our-procedures/face/facial-rejuvenation-surgery/facelift/  ) two months before at Michael Kreidstein centre and I could get a wonderful change in my saggy face. But after that, I didn't use much foundation or any kind make ups. Before I used Maybelline foundation and Makeup forever-HD product as my skin was dry. It's my sister's wedding next month, and I don't know what kind of products that I should be using. Any products you got to suggest for me? I need to hide scars too,so is there any products that would help me in this situation? Will the products that I used before help me in this situation? I want to look awesome in her marriage and I don't want anyone to see my scars. Any suggestions for me?
