I've made a post about this before and I was advised that the little skin-coloured bumps on my skin are actually clogged pores. It looks even WORSE when I wear foundation (wearing MUFE HD foundation in the pic). So I'm doing everything I'm supposed to do... (I think). I'm drinking lots of water everyday, I'm moisturizing, I'm exfoliating, I bought a clarisonic to cleanse-- but the bumps are still there. I think they might have gotten worse actually. Here are the products I use: Boscia Makeup-breakup Oil cleanser, Purity Made Simple cleanser with the Clarisonic, Peter Thomas Roth exfoliating peel gel (twice-a-week). I use Clinique moisture surge or dramatically different lotion for my very dry skin. Is there another product I should be buying? I need help
With the cold, winter months quickly approaching I am looking to swap out some of my current skincare products for ones that will provide more moisture. I am currently using Clinique Moisture Surge as a nighttime moisturizer, but am looking to swap it out for a thicker, creamier moisturizer. What would you recommend? I would also like some suggestions for hydrating masks, facial oils, and/or facial mists to help keep my skin hydrated. Thank you in advance!
Okay, so I've had dry lips for about 6 months, I'm not even kidding and it is driving me crazy! I've tried every possible lip balm there is and nothing seems to be helping. I even went to the doctor to see if it was an allergy thing and all she said was to keep trying new products until one works. which was super helpful -.- I don't have super dry skin but I do get the often flaky dry patch every now and then. I do however suffer from eczema but i've never had it on my face. Im so desperate for any advice or recommendations because i'm so over spending heaps of money on stuff that doesn't work.
Calling all my dry skin girls - I'm in need of your assistance!!! I'm a total makeup junkie, but nothing is more disheartening than seeing your face makeup cracked, creased, and dry after just an hour! My skin looks flakey in its appearance when I wear foundation, but there are no actual flakes??? I have no idea if that makes sense or if anyone has experienced this, but my skin looks cracked and flakey, but when I touch my skin it feels smooth! I'm looking for some hardcore moisturizers and treatments to help my skin out. I love nothing more than a good glam, but it looks horrible when I'm out in public in daylight. All my foundation settles into my natural under-eye creases, and around my mouth and nostrils. Also, if you have any recommendations for foundations, primers, and powders for my extremely dry skin? Even though my skin is super dry, I've found that I still need powder to set it in place or else it just wears off of my skin SO fast.
I have VERY sensitive eyes that always burn with 99% of the cleansers and makeup remover wipes out there. So far out of the ones I have tried, only the Tarte maracuja wipes are the only ones that work for me that don't burn my eyes or dry out my skin. All natural soap works as well, but it dries out my skin. I've tried things for sensitive eyes and skin, nothing works. I know that just makeup remover wipes isn't good enough, because it doesn't get rid of everything, so I would like to find a cleanser that won't sting or dry out my skin, but will clean the rest of what's left on my face. Any suggestions? For reference it doesn't get into my eye, it's the rubbing and formula around the eye, that irritates, usually. Things I have tried that I can remember (all did not work for me): (May not be the exact name of the product) first aid beauty wipes korres milk wipes yes to cucumber wipes vichy cream makeup remover Lancome cream makeup remover Lancome eye makep remover Sephora collection waterproof eye makeup remover Bioderma wipes Ponds wipes (blue packaging) First aid beauty cleanser
I have normal/dry skin but no matter what I have use lately, I have peeling skin on my nose and on my lower chin. I have used moisturizers, oils, scrubs, peels, etc but it keeps coming back. UGH! I recently got a promo deluxe sample Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin starter kit. It contains Ceramidin liquid and cream. You can use them separately or together. I have been putting on the liquid, then the cream. About a half hour later I put on my regular night cream because it contains all the other ingredients I want on my skin. I have noticed a huge improvement because the main ingredient is Ceramide-3 which is a lipid that is present in our skin's natural moisture barrier. The peeling has dramatically improved in about a week. You can get this promo deluxe sample by using the code "CERAMIDIN" on any order of $25 or more. I highly recommend it! Now back to your regular programming.
I started swimming a lot lately, and I will continue to. I'm concerned about my face. My skin is so affected by the pool water. My normal moisturizer isn't enough. I use mainly Shiseido products, and some Fresh cleanser. I don't want to introduce too many different things to my skin. If I can stick with one of these two brands, that'd be my preference. In any case, can anyone recommend an awesome [heavy duty?] moisturizer for face for swimmers? Thank you!
Hey guys, my question is regarding my dry t zone, my face is normally never dry except for when I put makeup on! I exfoliate every morning before I put my cream on which is the Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentrate which I love! And then I follow up with either my NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer or the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer because I don't like heavy products on my face. I used to use the Laura Mercier setting powder but I thought that was making my face dry out throughout the day, but since ive stopped using it I am still have the same issue. By the middle of the day my makeup looks dried out especially on my t zone area, and splotchy in areas on my cheeks. I even use the Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray and this still happens!!
Hello. I have very dry and sensitive skin. I normally use drugstore foundation like maybelline fit me, but I found that no matter what I use, my foundation always clings and cakes up on my face. I always cleanse, moisturize, and prime my face, but nothing seems to go on smoothly. Any suggestions for good foundations or things I can do? Thanks.
Hey BTgals, I just got reminded this morning how much my skin loves oils. I had been skipping on them for the past 2 weeks since I'd been suffering from pesky breakouts + been traveling, so didn't really have any with me. Last night, made a dash to the drugstore to get some oil (since there's no Sephora close by), and ended up getting a Loreal facial oil, and slathered that on my face last night! Oh my! My skin looks positively happy and glowing today With the VIB sale round the corner, wanted to hear what your fave face oils were. I haven't tried tons, but mine would be: - Tata Harper Replenishing Nutrient Complex - Caudalie Premier Cru (although I could do with a less heavy rose scent) Do share your faves!!
Hello All! I have some dry patches going on that my Nars Luminous Weightless Foundation is clinging to like no other... I'm looking for a high-end foundation that will be medium-full coverage that does not attract attention to dry areas on my face. Any recommendations?
Hi guys! I figure I would ask this question here. I'm pretty sure I have over-exfoliated my face because instead of it being smooth like it was four days ago its rough and patchy in many areas (gotta lay off the Exfolikate now) - any questions on how I can repair this quickly? I'm currently just using Kiehls Midnight Recovery but wondering if any other BT-ers have any other tips?? thank you in advance!!!
For a few months now I've had really dry, flaky eyebrows and I have no clue what to do to fix it. I've tried dandruff shampoo on them, Murad exfoliating cleanser, nothing fixes it. Even if it goes away that day, the next day, it's back. They aren't itchy, just dry and flaky. Any advice on how to get it to go away is welcome! :-) Thanks!!
So unfortunately as the cold weather in Canada rolls around, so does my dry skin. I'm so desperate to find something to help, but everything I try seems to fail. My skin looks flaky, and gross, specially when I put on foundation (Which with my freckly complexion, I need) I've tried Argan Oil, Maracuja oil, Clinique, Aveeno, Origins, and many more. Even going in to the Sephora store, the girls mentioned a bunch of different things, and I told them I had tried them all, and they were still shocked that I had dry skin after all that. So basically, I'm looking for something to help me. I live in Alberta, and the weather can drop to -30C. My skin gets dry even at -1C! So if anyone has anything that has worked with their skin, PLEASE let me know, I've been searching for too long.
Okay so, my foundation is ALWAYS cakey..everyday...Ive tried many different foundations (Dolce and gabbana, rimmel, revlon, L'Oreal) and it never goes right I never achieve a great finish that looks smooth and silky. Ive watched countless videos on methods of application (ive tried brush, sponge and even went through the deperate times of finger application methods) and yet I still cant achieve natural looking pretty skin. I also have dry flakes and redness around the nose, and inbetween eyebrows. I also have terrible eyebags that just wont go away! Ive tried everything .... Exfoliating, facial cleanser, moisturizer everyday day.........help!!
im getting married and my fiancé has rough dry skin. Our photographer can only photoshop his blemishes so much. Any recommendations for natural looking foundation that'll also cover redness? Thank you!
I am 35, and in the past few months my eye lids have been getting very dry & irritated. I've tried several all over eye creams workers have suggested, and they just seem to irritate them even more. Can anyone give me any advice on this? I've never experienced dry eyes like this.
I don't know what this is, but I just have dry, flaky skin just at the creases of my nose that are particularly visible when I wear makeup (mineral or liquid) and I don't know how to get rid of it. I've tried good moisturizers, but it doesn't seem to work and it's very isolated to just the nose crease. I do have dry skin in general, but a good moisturizer usually takes care of any dryness EXCEPT here. It's not so much "patches" of skin, it looks maybe more like pores that have flaked off or something. It's hard to describe. Maybe I will take a picture. Does anybody know what the heck I'm talking about? lol If so, what skin regiment would you recommend?
I've never had any sign of dry anything since I am typically oily skinned. But after using Smashbox primer, my nose is all flaky. Sephora doesn't have another green primer to use. So I just keep moisturizing at night to counter balance. I also wear a different primer under the Smashbox one just to protect my nose!
I do not have dry skin necessarily, I have more of combination skin, but I get severe dry patches, and flaking around my nose and on my forehead. I exfoliate a couple of times a week, and moisturize everyday, but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions to what I could use to stop the dry spots?
