Hello Beauties. I am looking for face serum and moisturizer day and night. Special concern about skin glowing and brightening result. I have dry patches and dull no radiant skin and i hate it. Suggestions plz. Thanks
I've made a post about this before and I was advised that the little skin-coloured bumps on my skin are actually clogged pores. It looks even WORSE when I wear foundation (wearing MUFE HD foundation in the pic). So I'm doing everything I'm supposed to do... (I think). I'm drinking lots of water everyday, I'm moisturizing, I'm exfoliating, I bought a clarisonic to cleanse-- but the bumps are still there. I think they might have gotten worse actually. Here are the products I use: Boscia Makeup-breakup Oil cleanser, Purity Made Simple cleanser with the Clarisonic, Peter Thomas Roth exfoliating peel gel (twice-a-week). I use Clinique moisture surge or dramatically different lotion for my very dry skin. Is there another product I should be buying? I need help
How should I go about introducing skincare products to my younger brother? He's turning 23 in May. He doesn't use any type of skincare products AT ALL. He's autistic so he thinks that skincare is a girl thing and he has this weird compulsion to shave his face. He uses an electric shaver every single day but he legit has no facial hair so all he's doing is irritating the crap out of his skin. His skin is super dry, red in patches, obviously irritated. It looks bad. I want to try to slowly introduce products to him that will first of all help target these problems and then second of all slowly build a very basic skincare routine. I was looking at the Jack Black line and was wondering if someone could give me some feedback on the items I'm interested in or if you think there are other items that would help his situation. First, everyone needs a lip balm!! And he has crazy chapped lips too. This can be a small thing to get him interested but I think he might view this as "lip gloss" and girly. And I hear good things about them as well so I wouldn't mind keeping it if he didn't use it. For skincare I'm looking at the Post Shave Cooling Gel. I get that it's supposed to be for people that use razors but the description of the product is everything that he needs it to be. And of course he'll need a moisturizer, been checking out the Double Duty Face Moisturizer. There are a lot of nice sets but I don't want to invest a ton of money on products he might not even use and I don't want to overwhelm him with all the stuff that comes in a set. I was thinking of just focusing on the bare essentials of what he needs and then if he likes it and uses it I would slowly buy him more. **EDIT: Just want to say thank you to everyone who posted! I had a busy day (business test!) so I wasn't online today. I think I'm going to buy that pack of 3 lip balms so I can keep one. I want to see what the craze is all about.
Help!! My face seem to have spots that are dry. Somebody know any products that can cure this? I have previously used First Aid Beauty- Ultra Repair Cream and Face Moisturizer. As it helps relieve itchiness due to dryness it isn't enough to make it go away.
So I just used the Freeman avocado mask for the first time. I left it on for 10 minutes till it was completely dry. I just rinsed it off, and my face feels like its on fire and its totally bright red. I can outline on my face where the mask was (like around my eyes, around the edges, around my mouth). My face feels like its burning. Any help would be great right now! Thanks!
Hello! So I want to start off by talking about my struggle with skin care. I originally was using the intense hydrating toner, night, and day moisturizer from the body shop which was great and gave my skin a ton of moisture. However I felt like the product contained lots of ingredients that I didn't want on my skin and felt like it was leaving sort of a film! So multiple times I have gone into sephora looking for a new skin care routine and ending up buying the products that they recommend (are pushing for that week) only to find I have wasted money and my makeup looks cakey and gross because my skin is still dry! The last recommendation was the lotus moisturizer but I have noticed it is very drying and my makeup ended up looking worse with this product! I almost feel like there are tons of products in the market that don't do what they say and sifting through them costs a lot of money and time!! Does anyonr know of any skin care lines that have been recommended by a dermatologist or that you can recommend helps with dry skin and has more natural ingredients? I have heard of Sanistas recently but am hesitant to try it since it's not very well known! Thank you!!!
I'm going to a formal dance and I need a foundation that will last all night. I have very dry skin so whenever I wear foundation, within the hour my face will become really flaky. I'm looking for something high coverage. I just want something that will look airbrushed all night
Every time I put on BB cream it immediately makes my skin incredibly flaky. I've even tried putting on moisturizer first or mixing the BB with some of my moisturizer and ten minutes after applying I'm a flaky mess. My moisturizer works fine and I'm not dry after applying it, it's any kind of coverage that's drying me up. Im using the Smashbox BB currently and have no idea what to do! The attached photos is after applying.
So I have super dry skin. When I say dry I mean kind of scaly looking and yes I drink TONS of water and keep hydrated. As for my skin care routine I wash (Fresh soy cleanser in the morning and Philosophy purity made simple at night) and moisturize twice a day, sometimes exfoliate in the morning with dermalogica daily microfoliant if my skin is looking particularly rough, use origins drink up intensive overnight mask and exfoliate twice a week alternating between a chemical exfoliant and origins modern friction. Luckily it's finally starting to get a little better and I think it's thank to Embryolisse. I haven't been using it long and i'm really hoping it won't break me out, I have problems with cystic acne around the jaw, those pesky little bumps under the skin that never come to a head and just sit there. I use a topical acne treatment which i'm sure didn't help with my already dry skin. ANYWAY to get to the point of this whole thing, I'm looking for a serum to supplement my routine. I purchased the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II and have been using it for about a month but it doesn't seem to be having much of an effect, any suggestions? Sorry, I realize this dragged on with a whole lot of information that is most likely unnecessary. Thanks in advance for your help!!!
Hello! I have been looking for a new skin care regimine and have been out of luck after buying expensive recommendations that do nothing at all. My skin is very dry but I don't like an extremely dewy look with my makeup! I have heard of the Sanitas skin care and although it is not well known I have heard great reviews, has anyone tried this line or have a recommendation for other products in an dry skin care routine?
So my mom uses some retinol cream as moisturizer and she recently got me some since my skin has been very dry. She's of course older than me and I thought that using these types of cream on youthful skin could have a bad reaction since it is not made for my age group. Here are the ingredients in the moisturizer: Water, propylene, glycol, cocos nucifera oil, glyceryl sterate, mineral oil, stearic acid, cetyl esters, propylene glycol, diazolidinyl urea, methylparaben, propylparaben, triethanolamine, isopropyl myristate, retinyl palmitate, cetyl alcohol, dimethicone, fragrance, tocopheryl, acetate, disodium EDTA, yellow10 I don't really know anything about ingredients, except for mineral oil and alochol. Doesn't mineral oil age you faster? and doesn't alcohol dry out your skin more? So does anyone know if this cream would have a negative effect on younger skin?
Just a quick question...do you exfoliate and then use a mask in the same evening/day? Or is it best to mask the day after exfoliating? A few days apart? I just don't know when it is most beneficial to the skin. Thanks, Paige.
I have had this horrible dry skin around my nose for about a year. I moisturize day and night and I put Vaseline on it before I go to bed. It never seems to go away. Does any body have any recommendations? I use the Kat Von D tattoo foundation and I love it, but it makes my dry skin look really bad. Is there a full coverage foundation that would work well with dry skin? Thanks!
I've been using Philosophy products religiously and my skins has cleared and the tone evened out (30 y/o .. starting to see fine lines, etc). However, I've recently moved back to Texas and I'm feeling extra dry. I've tried the Glam Glow to boost moisture, but still having issues. I know it's been asked a million times.. but any suggestions for an ultra hydrating mask? Thanks!
i had a treatment for my broken capillaries on my skin so now I'm afraid to exfoliate... What is a gentle exfoliant? can I just use my clarisonic? Is the fresh soy exfoliant considered gentle? I still have some left to use up. thanks!
I'm not sure what's been going on with the skin around me eyes. I've always thought that I've had oily lids because my eye shadow ALWAYS creases. My concealer creases too (I have an annoying fold under my eyes). Recently, my skin around my eyes seems so sensitive and dry. Any makeup that I apply on that area gets all ashy and flakey, even seconds after applying my makeup. I recently started using an eye shadow primer (the white NARS one) to prevent the creasing, but the dryness is horrible. I try moisturizing a LOT and using an eye cream (got it as a gift from Taylor Swift, it's the same eye cream she uses......long story), but the area still seems dry. Is there a product you can recommend?
Okay, so I have been using (fair) Bare Minerals matte (sometimes original) powder foundation for probably five years! My routine conists of the prime time orginal primer, and the i apply my bare minerals foundation. I add bronzer and blush and spray with urban decay setting spray. I'm thinking they have changed their formula, but I always have trouble with their product in the winter. I struggle with flaky dry skin behind my eyebrows and just in between on my forehead. I moisturize wih hope in a jar so I'm not sure what the problem is. After a couple hours my foundation looks patchy/blothcy. I have to add lotion and start all over basically! If anyone has any tips on if i should change foundations or ways to moisturize better that would be helpful! I'll take all the recommendations I can get!!
This past month as been insane. I took on a new client, so my work has almost doubled & we got a puppy! He's almost 4 months old & just started teething. I've had no time for BT, all my free time is reading puppy books & and stalking the Doberman forums making sure I'm a good mama. While he's sleeping I'm trying to do as much work as possible. So my skincare routine has changed drastically. No more, spending 15 minutes am/pm on my face, honestly I'm lucky if I remember to wash it & moisturize it. Terrible, I know! I can't go to the Rouge event on Sunday, we're old school Ukrainian & follow the Julian Calendar for Holidays and will be celebrating Easter. So I NEED you guys to give me some ahhhhmazing skincare recs. Something to get me out of this rut to want to take care of myself again. It can be anything from a scrub, moisturizer, BB cream... I do use prescription Retin-A 2x a week, my skin is on the dry side of normal, but doesn't like pure oils, and I can only use mineral SPF. I'm in need of a new moisturizer (running low on FAB Ultra repair cream, was thinking of OH sheer transformation but have used it before, so it sounds boring), a scrub without plastic beads, and something tinted I can slap on real quick without setting with powder so I don't look like a total bum while out walking the dog. I do use SPF every morning and am happy with my products. TIA! You guys have no idea how much I've missed you all. I don't even have time to go on IG
I have dry skin and am looking for a sunscreen that is almost oily that can go on under foundation. I was using the yellow line of rodan and fields correcting sunscreen which I loved but it was just too expensive. I tried their purple line too unblemish and that sunscreen doesn't run in and makes foundation dry almost cakey. I have dry skin and like to wear light foundation so it needs to be pretty strong moisturizer.
What skincare products would you recommend using to help combat the flaky skin caused by the Retin A Micro 0.08% Gel? Also, my derm has me using Onexton (3.75% Benzyl Peroxide/clydamycin phosphate) every morning for acne which also causes dryness and irritation. Morning Routine: Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Foaming Face Wash Onexton Neutrogena Healthy Skin Moisturizer spf 50 Night Routine: Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Foaming Face Wash Retin A Micro 0.08% Gel (After 20 min Every Other Night until May) Cerave Pm Moisturizer (45 min after Retin A) ... Also what makeup products would you recommend for this? I usually have really oily skin and own mostly dryer, thick foundations.
Lately I have been getting really dry skin. Around My eyes, forehead, and around my nose.The worst is that is very visible. I have been using a moisturizer by neutrugena but it still wont work. Anyone know any good moisturizers that will definitely work. I also don' wont a moisturizer that will make my face feel heavy and oily. I want to my face to feel hydrated and free. :}
The title is pretty self explanatory. I noticed a little less than a week ago that just beside my nose and there is one big dry patch. It's not noticeable, although it is uncomfortable to touch. I also have some dry, flaky skin around the corners of my nose that don't go away no matter how hard I scrub! Any solutions to either of these problems?
I have these tiny little bumps on either side of my nose just under my eye area and I cannot figure out how to get rid of them. I do cleanse twice a day and exfoliate twice a week. I've used the Kate Sommerville exfoliate and the Peter Thomas Roth peeling gel (they leave my skin feeling extremely soft but the bumps never go away). I know it's not milia 'cause I've had that over my left eye and it looked/felt completely different. These tiny bumps are actually not very noticeable until I wear liquid foundation (and I need to wear foundation because I have a lot of discoloration in other areas of my face).
So where I live, the snow has been insane, and the weather is so cold that I start to tear up, and then my tears start to freeze. I digress. I am experiencing my driest and cracked hands ever. For those who have similar issues, or are experiencing the frigid cold, what are your go-to products, and how often do you apply them? At my disposal, I've currently got: Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre Laura Mercier Hand Lotions, in Fresh Fig and Creme de Pistache L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream I apply these whenever my hands feel dry, but I am literally applying another round of lotion every 5-10 minutes, and my hands have remained unmoisturized and chapped. Help! How do you guys tackle chapped hands in the winter?
