need a moisturize r/primer
I need a moisturizer that I can use as a primer underneath my makeup & also alone, like after I wash my face at night. I have dry skin. I have tried RareMinerals moisturizer (too greasy) and Laura Mercier tinted Moisturizer(don't need tinted right now).
I was looking at Philosophy Hope in a Jar, but it is kinda pricey. Does anyone have a product rec for me?

[ Edited ]I just want to clarify that moisturizers and primers are two different products, and one cannot necessarily be used as the other. You can use a moisturizer daily before makeup, of course, but it's meant to hydrate your skin. After it absorbs completely, you can then apply a primer. There are many primers that are hydrating or moisturizing, but they are not meant to take the place of actual moisturizers. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer is also a sheer-coverage foundation; it's not a moisturizer.
For a moisturizer recommendation for dry skin, I would try Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion (http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P12
If you need a primer, try Laura Mercier's Hydrating Foundation Primer. It's $30, but it lasts for ages.

[ Edited ]I second katie's post regarding the two products (primer and moisturizer) being very different and I agree that Laura Mercier's Hydrating Foundation Primer would be a very good choice for your skin type and you can find it at: http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P151915
A very good, lightweight, but very hydrating moisturizer that can be worn AM underneath your primer and makeup and also PM is Kinerase "Cream" which you can read about at: http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P234613
I hope this helps you. ![]()

You can use Biotherm AquaSource intense moisture for dry skin. It is really good. ( All Biotherm are excellent and do the job well, and worth every penny, even their cleansers)
To find the right right products you need to know your skin type, otherwise the products will nto work, or make your skin worse..
Also a good primer is from Mac Cosmetics , you cannot use them together, its either or, and they BOTH go under foundation and such.. Primers make sure the makeup is well blended into your skin and makes it stick lnger, but you need to moisture each day.
Hope I helped.
