I have an issue with bad dry skin on my inner crease and under my eyes. I've tried lots of products but none really work except vitamin E but that isn't always cheap... I am starting to run out of ideas. Any suggestions??
Hey guys- I'm looking for suggestions on some products for my very dry, sensitive skin, with some redness as well, more specifically an exfoliant. My skin can tend to get flaky around certain areas, but with my current skin routine it's been better. But I have yet to find an exfoliant that I really like. Do you have any suggestion? Some I've been looking at: Yu-Be Foaming Skin Polish Origins Refreshing Scrub Cleanser (according to reviews, it cleanses more than exfoliates??) Origins Modern Friction Nature's Gentle Dermabrasion Caudalie Gentle Buffing Cream My most basic current routine: Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser May Coop's Raw Sauce First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration (And some nights) Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!
I have two piercings on my nose and I have recently been getting very dry around that area. I put foundation on that are because my skin is red there. I take my nose rings out at clean that area daily. I just peeled dead skin off that area tonight. Is there anything I can do to help it or any product that will help?
thoughts on farmacy? i have combination skin that's sometimes oily and sometimes dry and was wondering if this is a good brand to use. I need skin care products that aren't too harsh on my skin and can really make it feel and look good. would be nice if it wasn't acne prone too.
I have used Caudalie Detox Night Oil before and I do not remember why I switched to Korres Rose Oil but I got it around summer and now it feels harder to distribute on the face. It definitely feels dryer than Caudalie. I have had a solid routine with Tidal as my moisturizer, Josie Maran's argan oil and Korres Rose Oil. But my face gets dry in the winter and for some reason it is always the chin. I've gotten samples of some moisturizers: Ole Henriksen Truth Revealed , Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins and PTR Mega Rich Cream. Now I think I like Origins cream but I am not sure about Ole. I always put the oil afterwards. Also any thoughts on the new PTR Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream? Or Algenist Splash Hydrating Setting Mist?
I currently use a press powder as my foundation but I find that my skin is dry in spots and I end up flaking. I'm wondering if there would be a better foundation that I should be using for my dry skin?
Lately I've been using the Boscia Revitalizing Hydration Gel but I ran out fast and it worsened my redness. Some of my dry patches become flakey during the winter so I use the Boscia Purifying Cleansing Gel so I do not need help with that. If it makes any difference my nose still becomes oily alone yet I can handle that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My skin is very dry and it is uneven and has some blemishes. I used to use Hello Flawless Benefit foundation and then I didn't want to pay that anymore, so I switched back to drugstore foundation. And it has ruined my skin. So I need to go back to the good stuff. I started using this moisturizer from Clinque and acne wash that is helping but I ned a foundation now.
i have such a hard time finding a shade light enough for my skin but high coverage enough for my freckles not only that i have dry skin.. any good concealers that would help or high coverage foundations ?
Hello, I am currently taking isotretinoin for 6 months and for those who have taken it before, you already know how dry you become....so, I was wondering what are good moisturizers you've used for the face, good lip products for constantly peeling lips, and a good eye treatment/cream for my red and dark eye circles?! thank you <3
What product should I use to smooth out my complexion before conturing my face? I have normally dry skin and can't seem to get my makeup to apply evenly. My cheeks are naturally flushed and red. I would love to find something that would make my face smooth and clean looking. Also, should I use a powder or liquid for my makeup since I have dry skin.
Hi there, I currently use m-61 hydroboost serum followed by skinceuticals daily moisturizer. I'm not super happy with the combo, and find my skin needs more hydration. Are there any other products/regimes you would recommend? I'm 39, so anti-aging products would be okay. I typically have normal skin that tends to be dry in winter. I'm low maintenance as far as skin care goes, so 2-3 products that I could use both day and night would be ideal. Thanks in advance for your help!
We put so much effort into keeping our face property toned and moisturized but how do you apply this to your body? I'm in New England and a half hour walk outside yesterday left my legs a dry itchy mess. I normally use a thick body shop moisturizer and an in shower lotion but it's not working for me this week. Do any of your Beauty Talkers have any recommendations?
Sorry, I know there are like a million of these out there and I have read a lot of them but i'm sort of overwhelmed now! Basically, i'm out of the loop now, I haven't been on Sephora in months now but it's winter again finally and my skin is back to being dry! Thankfully it isn't stubbornly dry, i'm just looking for a good cream. It doesn't need to specifically be a night cream (i'll just be using it at night), no gels, not Clinique, and preferably not in a jar but i'm not being picky! A few options i'm considering: - DE La La Retro - Kate Somerville Goats Milk - Sunday Riley Tidal (yes I realize it's kind of jelly, but I'm curious!) - Josie Maran Whipped Argan All recommendations are welcomed!! Thanks in advance
I have very very dry and flakey skin. I just recieved a great exfoliant from Lush, but I am now looking for other good products to help maintain the moisture. Moisturizer, foundation, etc. Any tips would be awesome, I love to hear other perspectives on dry skin.
I've been using BareMinerals BarePro powder foundation for a few weeks now. Unfortunately, it's itchy and makes my skin feel tight. I'm not sure if it's the combination of the products I'm using or the BarePro itself that's irritating my skin but I really love this foundation and want to make it work. Here's my morning make up/skin care routine. - Cleanse with FAB's pure cleanser (morning and night) - Tone with Jurlique's rosewater spray (morning and night) - Moisturize with L'Octaine light moisturizer (morning and night) - Prime with BareMineral's original primer - Buff on BarePro - Buff on BareMineral's original Mineral Veil - Finish with Urban Decay's chill setting spray What do y'all think? Is it the foundation I'm using or the primer?
I have pretty normal skin some acne around my jawline and maybe a little on the dry side but it has never gotten to wear it has been flaky until about 4 days ago. I have tried everything from my clarisonic which I use almost every day even before my nose and chin started getting flaky so I don't think it could be causing it. I also before applying my makeup use a neutrogena sunscreen primer then on top of that I use the laura mercier hydrating primer. Then at night I wash my face with cetaphil normal face wash then use the cetaphil face and body lotion. It still doesn't help and I still end up waking up with flaky skin. What can I do to get rid of it and make my skin look not flaky like it used to be?
Not to be overdramatic but I take very good care of my skin and the skin around my eyes is SO dry. When I put on my eye cream (amore pacific http://www.sephora.com/moisture-bound-rejuvenating -eye-treatment-gel-P282612?skuId=1328038&icid2=lp_ ... ) - the skin under my eyes burns. Its red around the outer corner of my eye. It almost looks as though its peeling. It feels a little tight too. I was also trying murad's eye firming treatment http://www.sephora.com/eye-lift-firming-treatment- P404007?skuId=1775378&icid2=products%20grid 404007 I've also tried caudalie's http://www.sephora.com/premier-cru-the-eye-cream-P 280104?skuId=1500842&icid2=products%20grid 280104 It hasn't made a dent in the dryness. I'm freaking out, I need a deeply moisturizing product for winter. Please make any recommendations . I have annoyingly oily skin everywhere else. I have sebaceous filaments as well. For those who are medically oriented: I have eczema. Not trying to be dramatic but I spend so much money on skincare and I can't believe this is happening to me despite all this effort. Thanks very much in advance.
Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, Let me first start off with the products I use and the routine: AM -cleanser -Tidal for the face -Fresh black tea under the eyes PM -cleanser -Korres Rose Oil for the face -Fresh black tea under the eyes Now my chin area gets dry sometimes and en employee recommended PTR Mega Rich face cream but I think it is too rich for me. My sister recently gave me a sample of Josie Maran's Argan oil and I used it on top of my Tidal and my face feels a lot more hydrated. So my question is should I add an oil to the morning routine?
So, I suffer from dry skin. I have recently upped my moisturizing routine and still when i put foundation on, it doesn't go on well and my skin looks cakey. I do suffer from some redness and have sensitive skin as well. I feel my skin looks awful without makeup and i feel like it looks awful with it on as well. I also feel like the makeup just kinda spreads around my face and doesn't set in well. I have used just about every pricey foundation, primer, moisturizer, etc. Help?
Hi All, In the past year or so my skin has become very dry. I used to have combination skin but no dryness that really affected me. Now I have dry/flaking skin under my eyes that show when I put makeup on, and dry skin on and around my lips that makes it hard to wear lip products. I have tried many different "hydrating" skin products but the problem seems to persist. The other day I went to the store and was given a sample of Philosophy Clear Days Ahead cleanser and some other products. I used a new beauty blender around my eyes the same day (I am convinced that the dye in the beauty blender may be a part of this problem and will be getting the pure one) and woke up today with swollen eyes, round skin around my eyes, redness, painful dry feeling and flaking skin. I really desperately need recommendations for a cleanser to use to get rid of this problem! Thank you!
So I recently purchased the Josie Maran Argan Oil but I am a little confused...is this stuff supposed to be primer or do you use it at night before you go to sleep? I've read both under the reviews. Just wondering cause right now I'm using the GlamGlow Illuminating Moisturizer for my primer.
