I am in my mid 30s and have very sensitive, fair skin. At one point years ago I got a terrible sunburn and it has left its mark inn my nose and especially my cheeks leaving them bright pink at all times. My my skin tends to be on the dry side with beginning fine lines. I do get dark eye circles if I do not use an eye cream.when I stay away from irritants I have no blemishes with the exception of hormone induced ones. I can not use retinol, it is too harsh and I scab from it. I have found that that dior products work very well with my skin chemistry. I do not itch and they have a calming effect. I am currently using hydra life with essential one first ( and mask) but an planing on switching to capture total when I run out now that I am hydrated I always use sunscreen now! Are there other products that my be better to use or to use along with to help reduce the redness. I have tried the Clinique redness reducing line and that inflamed my skin within minutes... what at other masks and/ or peeks would be good to try?
I am looking for an eye cream to help with dryness around my eyes. My skin around my eyes is so dry that the outside corners crack a bit and I sometimes develop dry skin under my eye. Many of the eye creams I have tried sting the dried out skin and don't moisturize enough. Any suggestions??? I don't have wrinkles, lines, bags, and I am not looking for a product to prevent them; just drying to get rid of the dryness! Thanks in advance for everyone's help!
I have very dry skin and every cream or liquid foundation I use seems to settle into my fine lines around my mouth and nose. The most recent foundations I used were Tarte Maracuja Mircale foundation and Nars Radiant Cream foundation. I moisturize in the morning and at night and my foundation will still settling into my fine lines and make me look older. I would love recommendations of foundations for dry skin. Also I need a fuller coverage foundation because I have rosacea that needs coverage. Thanks!
I have dry combination skin type that is very very acne prone. I get redness every now and then, but with the right products, I usually don't.. but breakouts are something I tend to not be able to control I use clarisonic, philosophy and sulwhasoo peels for exfoliating about 2 times a week, but I feel like its not enough to deep clean for pores especially in the summer. I have in the past used Fresh umbrian clay and PTR sulfur mask from what I can remember on top of my head. I loved the umbrian clay mask, but found it to be very dehydrating.. PTR sulfur mask on the other hand barely did anything.. oh and Glam glow was way too irritating for my skin.. can anyone please recommend a good clay mask that I can use for the purpose of drawing out impurities and keeping my skin a bit more clear? thank you in advance!
I am looking for some skin care products to help with my dry, sensitive skin (I have eczema). I am also prone to blocked pores if the formula is to thick and doesn't absorb well. I have my daytime moisturizer with SPF squared away, so this would be more for nighttime/weekend use. I tried the High Potency Night-A-Mins™ Mineral-Enriched Renewal and it didn't work for me. My skin never got moisturized, but would end up greasy and has started breaking out. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Sorry pic's are so big! Wanted you to be able to see the shades (names would have helped)! Sorry. Anywho, I was wondering since I do have dry skin ( did look at MJ's Gel Foundation) that's BLAH being I had to stay out of the sun all Summer due to Laser , I got interested. I have looked at it for around 2 weeks but haven't really, really thought on it till now (when I was gonna post a photo.... negative whooo)! So, I am not sure if these are in order b/c I got sidetracked but I was thinking maybe shades: 1,2, or 4. I have blue veins / cool tones ( and some neutral too... or so I have been told). What shade do you think would be best? Thanks in Advance! I can go back & get the shade names if need be, I thought I had copied to paste but nope!
Has anyone here tired the Dr. Dennis Gross Clinical Concentrate hydration booster? Now that the weather is starting to get cooler and by November will be very cold my skin is starting to need an extra dose of moisture. Any issues with breakouts or bad reactions? My skin can be sensitive at times its very hit or miss. I like that I can just use this here and there and not everyday and I don't need to change my entire skincare routine (that's working) to be able to get the extra help. If anyone has any other products they can recommend that would be great too. Thanks https://www.sephora.com/clinical-concentrate-hydra tion-booster-P385773?skuId=1609312
Hi. I have normal-to-dry skin; in the winter I can get dry patches, but in the summer it's usually pretty normal. But I just moved into a new office space that's heavily air conditioned and not very humid, and now my skin is often feeling tight and dry at work. My current routine goes something like this: In the morning I put almond oil on my face, then work out. After my workout I use Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser, and then used a BB cream on my face (Physician's Formula Super BB or Too Faced's Tinted Beauty Balm). In the evening I use the same cleanser, Josie Maran's Pure Argan Milk, Olay's Regenerist Night Resurfacing Elixir (but only some nights), and almond oil. I've used face oils for about a year and liked them, but now I'm getting sick of them, and want something a little creamier but still lightweight. I received a sample of Shu Uemura's Depsea Hydrability Moisturizing Emulsion, and I loved its light, lotions texture but the scent irritated my skin a little bit. I'm hoping to find something pretty sheer and easy to blend, so I could just keep it at work and apply it at my desk. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
I am looking for a skin care line that is easy and resolves issues with my very, very dry skin. I am 66 years old and want something that is easy and does not take long to apply and use successfully. Could you please give me some ideas? While cost is not extremely important, I would like a product that is reasonable, not extravagant in the snout of money it takes to maintain the routine. Please advise.
Hi can anyone tell me what is the absolute best body lotion for very dry skin? Something that really works and holds moisture for quite awhile without having a bad smell or feeling sticky. I have tried so many lotions, I recently tried Aveeno's dry skin body lotion and its good but it smells like rubber to me and I do not like that plus it can be a little sticky. I have heard Cetaphil and Eucerin make some good ones as well but I wanted some advice on the feel and smell of some good options. I want to try to get one that isnt super expensive since I go through lotion like crazy as I reapply constantly through the day so I prefer a brand from the drugstore or in a big bottle.
I often read that you have to use a product for X amount of days/weeks before you will start to notice a difference. Makes sense to me but I have tons of different brands mostly deluxe samples received as GWP, skin care sets or promo codes. My routine is wash with Clarisonic, then apply toner, serum, eye cream, moisturizer and argan or maracuja oil (at night). My skin is normal for the most part with some dryness occasionally. When I shop for products I go for ones for dry skin and anti aging. So is it bad that I use different brands every couple of days? What I mean by bad is.....is it a waste of product/time since Im not using it continuously like the instructions usually say to see results? Hope this makes sense
I'm 25 and I use clarins early wrinkle correction cream and was really happy with it until i found out my face has started to flake especially around the nose. Please suggest a good moisturiser that isn't very exorbitant.
Im currently on my 3rd week using Retin A and my skin has become dry and flakey. Apparently this is normal until my skin adjust to the retin. Im seeking an affordable cleanser (preferably cream based), i also need a good SPF moisturizer. I have to stay away from anything citrus in order not to irritate my skin (while on retin citrus and alcohols can irritate and cause bad redness). Also, i prefer something with minimal alcohol in the products. I cant afford to lose anymore hydration lol. I cant wait until my "Ugly" phase is over. Only 3 weeks in and my skin is almost acne clear. Im hoping the dreadful 4-6 weeks horror stories of purging does NOT come my way, Id really appreciate any suggestions from my fellow beauties.
I'm begining to loose patience with finding something to cover my under eye darkness. My problem is that I have dry skin EVERYWHERE on my face. I cannot seem to get a concealer that applys smoothly but wont slip down my face by the end of the day. Ive tried many eye creams, primers, setting sprays, setting powders, and more but nothing is working! someone please help!
Hi, I'm 23 years old. My skin type is dry and sensitive. I'm wondering which toner could give my enough moisture as well as brightening? The toner is better be alcohol-free because of my sensitive skin. What do you think about SK-II and Estee Lauder? Is it too early to use these 2 brands? Thank you

Hey everyone, So I just got a keratin treatment at a local salon. I want to have it last as long as possible. Ive been using pureology shampoo and conditioner. But what other shampoos can I use just sulfate free? Also if anyone else is blonde that has had a keratin treatment done did you still use your purple shampoo after? Thank you!!!
Has anyone used the fresh rose mask as a night time moisture mask? Slept with it on? It's all I have at the moment and I'm in dire need of some hydration and would rather lather my face at night than during the day. Any thoughts?
So I have a never ending foundation problem that I need to solve! I absolutely love! matte finishes but i have dry skin and even with moisturizer throughout the day u can still see my dry spots! Any tips advice foundation or products to try please reply!
Hi Girls, I´m looking for a mask, like this picture.... This one is just for the lips... I would love this or something similar for lips, eyes, full face, whatever,...I live in Mexico so here is really dry all the time!! Any ideas??
Hiya! I'm currently taking accutane, which dries out the skin as part of how it works. I've found that recently my scalp has become very dry and irritated, and stings. Does anyone have any suggestions for a hydrating scalp treatment? I already use anti-dandruff shampoo, and wanted something to use without washing my hair (it hurts too much!). Most of what I've seen focuses on the ends of hair. Thank you so much!
Hi everyone! I'm looking for a daily moisturizer with SPF in it (at least 15... 30 or higher is preferable) that DOES NOT smell like sunscreen. Bonus points if it has a nice fragrance! Any suggestions??? One note, my skin is on the dry side, so it needs to be a good moisturizer. So far I've tried out samples of Josie Maran's moisturizer with SPF like 47 or something... that smelled good, it just feels greasy at first and takes FOREVER to absorb so I keep having to find other things to do with my time before I can put my makeup on. Like we're talking 20+ minutes. I also tried Benefit's emulsion moisturizer... that smells HEAVENLY and absorbs quicker and feels really good on the skin, but the SPF is only 15. Would love something like that with a higher SPF (just no sunscreen smell). Has anyone tried any of the Boscia moisturizers with SPF?
