Hi Everyone! So, I have a wedding to attend this weekend. I recently went tanning a few times to get some color before. (I know it's not good) and it has caused my oil/combo skin to be a bit more dry in some places. Well here is why I need your help! I have been looking so dry on my cheeks and chin under my makeup. While my T-Zone is still on the oily side! What will help me ASAP. I started using, The Regimen Kit Combination/Oily, by Mario Badescu last night. I used a night cream moisturizer last night by this brand also called Seaweed Night Cream to help get moisture into my skin, it felt somewhat better. BUT when I put on my marc jacobs foundation and make up for ever smoothing primer this morning I felt like you could still see the dryness on my cheek and unevenness. & I am still unsure of a primer. I haven't found my HG! I have acne marks in my skin and indents on my cheeks/forehead that causes it not too look very smooth. I hope I can find some products that I will fall in love with! I need to look amazing for the wedding! Thank you in advance!
I am looking to try a new tinted moisturizer, specifically I'd love to try the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. I currently wear the Clinique Moisture Surge tinted moisturizer in shade 01 (Alabaster it's called I think). I tried using the online ColorIQ to see what other products would be a match to this shade but the clinique tinted moisturizer wasn't one that I could select. Does anyone know what the comparable shade would be in the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer? Other suggestions for tinted moisturizer would be great too. I have very dry skin, so I prefer something very moisturizing and / or illuminating. Thanks.
Hello. I have very dry and sensitive skin. I normally use drugstore foundation like maybelline fit me, but I found that no matter what I use, my foundation always clings and cakes up on my face. I always cleanse, moisturize, and prime my face, but nothing seems to go on smoothly. Any suggestions for good foundations or things I can do? Thanks.
I decided to splurge on the NARS creamy concealer a couple months ago and slowly started to use the concealer not only under my eyes but my eyelids as well for the base. A couple weeks ago I found the inner corner of my eyelids drying out really badly and I just don't know a solution to fix this! Anyone else have a similar issue or any advice? All help will be appreciated!
I have dry skin, use 1 primer that makes my face too shiny.. also when i use powder to contour it looks very cakey.. what should i use as foundation and to contour with? should i not use foundation and contour at the same time? im new to make up, and want to learn.. thanks
Hi! I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on these products and your experiences with them. I need a new moisturizer. I have super dry, sensitive skin and was wondering about both of these balms. I have used Argan oil before as well as the Ceramidin cream. I love them both, but wanted something that lasts a little longer. If anyone can give me advice or share stories about these two, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Hi gals, I am in my late 20s and looking to invest in a good anti-aging face oil. I have dry, dehydrated skin and want to incorporate something in my routine that can fight skin stressors and maintain the health of the skin for a while. I was trying to choose between: Caudalie Premier Cru serum/oil, Tata Harper Replenishing Nutrient Complex and Sunday Riley Juno. Have you used any of the above oils, and could you share your experiences? Thanks!
I have super dry and sensitive skin! My face is most dry/peely in the areas where it really should be oily, like my nose and forehead/ t-zone. I have honestly tried everything. I have used Clinique products, the First Aid Beauty face wash/moisturizer, Fresh soy face cleanser and the youth lotus lotion. Ive tried the Josie Maran creamy oil moisturizer as well as tons of other stuff from sephora and the drug store. I use a cleansing water every morning and wash my face at night & moisturize 2x a day. I typically exfoliate once or twice a week with a powder like exfoliator from Boscia. My skin is still dry and peely around my nose forehead and chin all year long and I'm so frustrated. If anyone can recommend any products to help, that would be awesome. I can't really wear foundation or anything without it sticking to my dry patches and looking awful.
Hi there, I have been looking for a foundation online that will treat my dry skin but still give me flawless coverage. Every time I read about a product I am put off by their bad reviews, which one really is the best? Ally xxxx
I started using the Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Oil about a week ago and ever since I have been experiencing visible texture problems all over my face - it looks bumpy. Has anyone experienced this too? Is there a purging phase?
Just wanted to start a fun chat about the top 10 (or less) HG skincare products in your lives, and perhaps how often you use them! Do mention your skin type and get cracking! I'll start: I have dry, dehydrated skin that's less dry (but dehydrated) in the summer. I could only put in 7 as my HG: - OH pure truth cleansing gelee (every day) - Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream (few nights a week) - Supergoop City Sunscreen serum SPF 30 (every day) - Origins Active Charcoal Mask (once a week) - Caudalie Vinoperfect Serum (recent addition, daily use) - FAB facial radiance pads (every other day) - DermaDoctor Wrinkle Revenge cleanser (once a week) I'm excited to see your lists, ladies!
Okay, so I've had dry lips for about 6 months, I'm not even kidding and it is driving me crazy! I've tried every possible lip balm there is and nothing seems to be helping. I even went to the doctor to see if it was an allergy thing and all she said was to keep trying new products until one works. which was super helpful -.- I don't have super dry skin but I do get the often flaky dry patch every now and then. I do however suffer from eczema but i've never had it on my face. Im so desperate for any advice or recommendations because i'm so over spending heaps of money on stuff that doesn't work.
I'm looking for a hydrating moisturizer to mix with my foundation. I have a few dry spots that make my foundation look a little patchy. My t-zone is a little oily but everything else is normal to dry. Any suggestions?
A little about my skin dry/normal (more dry on the nose and chin) redness! dark acne red spots that need covering up small pores I need a foundation that is high coverage, feels light, works for dry skin and will stay on all day. Any recommendations???
I am in need of a morning cleanser, preferably a non-foaming one as I have very dry and sensitive skin. I been loving the La Roche Posay toleriane derma-cleanser, but the lack of a pump is driving me crazy! Especially towards the end, or even just half way through the bottle, getting product out is just unnecessarily frustrating. So help! Lots of thanks
I struggle with dry, dehydrated, flaky, sensitive, redness prone skin. I also have eczema. Can anyone help me with a skin care routine? I am going insane and broke trying to find the right products. I'm looking for recommendations for a whole routine: cleanser, toner/essence, chemical exfoliants (not scrubs or polishes) treatments (serums and oils), eye cream, and finally a moisturizer.i would also appreciate mask recommendations too; as well as, any advice on how to combat constant chapped, flaky lips. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to respond. Please know, a head of time, that I am truly grateful!
Hi! I am 18 years old and have extremely sensitive dry skin. I had everything under control until a couple of months ago. I noticed that In May my skin began to look and feel extremely dehydrated/dull (especially under my eyes) and I've noticed some serious whiteheads on my nose. I have absolutely no Idea what to do. I usually only wear makeup one day a week and I have a very delicate skin care regiment. My skin is desperate! Please help!
Hey all you beautiful ladies! Now that summer's upon us and we are all enjoying the gorgeous weather and the bright colors and slathering on copious amounts of sunscreen as we step out into the day, I have found myself going really low on exfoliation my face. I have dry skin and usually during the rest of the year, I'd use a lactic acid or glycolic acid based exfoliator every other day, or at least every 2 days. But now, I am just skeptical about exfoliating my face and exposing it to the stronger sun rays at this time. I've been exfoliating once every 4 days now. Is this ok or should I do it more often? Also, do you guys really re-apply sunscreen as you step out of work? Doesn't that involve an elaborate procedure of washing your face and then applying sunscreen? Is that really feasible everyday? I'd love to hear tips and tricks people use to make this easier in their daily lives! Thanks!
Hello All, My skin regimen consists of first aid beuty cleanser ( which i feel strips my skin) first aid beauty intense moisterizer( which i feel irritates it more than it should. It feels like my skin is burning, and shiesheido toner which is actually the only product that doesnt irritate and it provides a fresh feeling as well as a healthy non greasy glow. My question is what can i switch in regards to cleanser and moisterizer. I need something for very sensitive dry combination skin. My tone is very pale pink which works in my favor most of the time but on the crease of my nose and on the sides of my lis the driest areas inhabit my face and peel on their own. I feel as though since i started a skin regimen my skin became drier and now if i stop using products it flakes and becomes drier. Its very frustrating.
I just turned 38 and for the past 5 years have noticed my skin drying more. Prior to this my skin was combination, oily in T, more oily than not overall, with large pores. I use a Clarisonic to cleanse and changed my facial cleanser to one for dry skin. This has helped some. My new endeavor is swimming for fitness and this has made my skin even dryer in spite of me washing my face immediately after and moisturizing. Would you suggest a proper change for me?
Hi BT gals, My lips are pretty dry and hence I tend to wear lip balms most of the time. However, I'd like to start wearing more lipsticks, and was hoping that you could suggest lipsticks that are truly moisturizing on the lips. They don't necessarily have to be long-wear (don't mind reapplying), but they shouldn't feel drying. Also, since summer's coming up, if you could suggest a couple that have SPF in them, that would be great! Please treat these as independent questions! Finding a moisturizing lip color is of utmost importance right now
I am NARS siberia, yellow to neutral undertones. Everything I have tried ends up looking orange or too dark! I am looking for light to medium coverage. I have the Stila tinted moisturizer and I really love the formula and how it wears, but its too dark and too pink. I just recently got a sample of the Giorgio Armani CC cream and it was gorgeous! Almost perfect. But its too pink! I have also purchased the OCC in Y0 which I was ecstatic about because the color match is perfect, maybe even too light. But it looks so terrible on my skin. Even on well moisturized skin it sinks into lines and cracks I didn't even know I had I appreciate any suggestions!
