I have mostly dry skin with an occasional oily t-zone but my makeup always looks cakey if i dont apply moisturizer before my primer & foundation. I use a serum every day & night that helps, but i really need a moisturizer thats good to use right before applying makeup. Any suggestions? Thanks!
hi, i recently purchased a JOSIE MARAN Pure Argan Milk™ Intensive Hydrating Treatment but I'm now seeing the OLE HENRIKSEN Truth Serum® Vitamin C Collagen Booster. Is this worth buying? Can they be used together
Lately I've been getting random dry patches on my face. Especially in places that I'm rarely ever dry. I been using the same skin care routine for months so I don't know why this is happening. I'm using Purity face wash and Cetaphil moisturizer (I've used Cetaphil for years). Not much of a routine, but whatever haha. Are there any masks, serums, or moisturizers that y'all recommend?
I have dry skin but I'm very prone to acne… Specially when I get my period. I decided to start an acne treatment which has made my skin ridiculously dry and flaky. I use Josie Maran Argan Oil as moisturizer which worked prior to starting the acne treatment but it's not enough right now. What moisturizer do you suggest I use ?
Hi I was wondering if any one knew of a good face cream or pore minimizer. I have really dry skin especially it gets really dry on my nose and peels. If anyone can suggest any good products i'd appreciate it thank you
I had a chemical peel done and it has left my face dry and dehydrated. This is the first time it has happened. It's been over three weeks and my face still feels tight. Keep in mind, my skin type is oily. I was wondering if anyone else who has done chemical peels to recommend an aftercare product that they enjoy using. Any suggestions?
My hands are really taking a beating this winter, both from the bitter cold and working in the lab for many hours. What is the most serious, hardcore hand cream/mender out there? I always use L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream, and it's just not enough. I tried a sample of JM Infinity Oil as a base, and it sits on my skin without penetrating and helping to hydrate my skin. The FAB Ultra Repair Concentrate just sits on my skin as well. I'd love to hear recs from all of you BBFF's for my sad, dry, peeling hands
So i'm a skincare junkie that tries anything and everything. My routine got boring so I decided to change everything up. New cleansers, toners, serums, etc. I've got everything else, but now i'm having a hard time deciding on a moisturizer. I have DRY skin. Extremely dry. I want something moisturizing, but not too thick, and no spf (i use sunscreen separately) The ones I have picked out are Kate Somerville's goat milk cream, Fresh lotus youth preserve radiance lotion (i used the one in the jar, loved it, but i still want to switch things up), and shiseido ibuki refining moisturizer enriched. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated as well. Caudalie's moisturizer is my favorite (red & white tube, can't remember the name), and i purchased the green & white tube to switch it up. Nothing from origins or ren, please (have both, put them away too.) Edit: I use oils too Currently using boscia's tsukabi oil & regular sweet almond oil, both are my favorites. I don't really care for argan oil (it's a little too light for my skin, but the last time I tried it was a few years ago.)
I live in TX and the winters are terribly dry here. I changed my body wash routine and don't have to worry abt dry skin on my body but my face is another story. My skin has become so dry it's flaky. My routine is face wash followed by Josie Marian Aragon oil (abt 5 or 6 drops) followed by Bare minerals moisturizing face lotion. When I leave, my skin looks great and dewy and no dryness, but fwd to 4 hrs later and it's flaky again! any advice? do you think adding more drops of oil should do the trick?
My skin has been very, veRY, VERY dry this winter, so I decided to try out beauty oils. I have been experimenting with Josie Maran's Argan Oil and Tarte's Maracuja Oil. However, they seem to keep bothering my eyes. It doesn't burn or anything. It just feels like it is in my eyes and sometimes makes them water. Am I simply putting them too close to my eyes? Are there guidelines where to apply oils? Is anyone else having/had this issue?
I have dry skin. I have been looking at Nars sheer glow, Makeup Forever foundation, or benefit hello flawless oxygen wow. I like a very light foundation with good coverage and very natural out of those 3 which ones are the best for what i am looking for??? If you know of any other besides those 3 that's good feel free to mention it!
I have very dry skin and every cream or liquid foundation I use seems to settle into my fine lines around my mouth and nose. The most recent foundations I used were Tarte Maracuja Mircale foundation and Nars Radiant Cream foundation. I moisturize in the morning and at night and my foundation will still settling into my fine lines and make me look older. I would love recommendations of foundations for dry skin. Also I need a fuller coverage foundation because I have rosacea that needs coverage. Thanks!
Ok ladies, don't fail me now what is the difference between korres Greek yoghurt advanced nourishing sleeping facial and the korres wild rose + vitamin c advanced brightening sleeping facial? I use ole reds vitamin c truth serum, so would you all recommend the yoghurt? I wish I lived closer than 3+ hours to a Sephora and could have them answer my questions so I'm not so needy all the time:/ thanks rockstars :*)
Urgh, my skin is so unhappy this winter! I've noticed that on one of my eyelids, I have a weird patch of dry, scaly skin. It isn't exactly eczema, since it is not itchy or raised, but I have a feeling it is related. Last night I exfoliated my lid (warm compress, gentle rinse with baby shampoo dissolved in warm water, rinse, moisturize) and it worked really well, but by this afternoon the dry, scaly feeling is back! I put my Murad Hydrodynamic Eye Cream on it, since it is safe to use around the eyes, but has anyone else experienced this? Any tips for dealing with it would be great, since it is super noticeable when I wear eyeshadow!
I know i have dry skin because I do suffer from eczema but sometimes i do think that my face get a bit oily so my skin varies I guess. however I want a eye cream that be able to moisterize my eyes but also cover my eye bags. i feel like becuse I also suffer from dry eyes I rub my eyes a bit too much makin slight creases in my eyes. So yikes!...what do you recemmend for all the above!
I'm looking for a new day time moisturizer. I've been using Origins Gin-Zing, but have decided I like it more around summertime. I have dry/combination(more on the dry side though) skin. I have pretty sensitive skin as well with some redness and hormonal breakouts. Any recommendations?
Okay, so I've been off retinol and AHAs since November, because as winter started my skin became uncontrollably dry and peeled like crazy two days after I used retinol - every time. So I want to start back up and do it right. Was doing to do retinol (.5) twice a week and AHAs once to start, never on back to back days. I would like to supplement my moisturizing with oil - I have maracuja and argan but I've been hearing horror stories about argan oil on the face. Any thoughts/input you have appreciated! If you have a link to an article that would be helpful feel free to PM me. Thanks!
I am in my 30's and always have had dry skin. This winter has been horrible! Yu-be and first aid beauty aren't cutting it. Does anybody have any suggestions on a moisturizer for extra dry skin? I'll try anything! Thank you
I have very dry skin with little to no oil. I need a foundation with medium coverage that hydrates and does not dry out my skin when wearing for 9-12 hours. Any suggestions on products that were used and saw results for a length of time? thank you! megan
Ugh. Lately I've been fustrated with my skin more than ever. My skin has open pores, dark spots, and breakouts on my forehead. I've used many skincare brands that Sephora has to offer, but it doesn't seem to work. One brand I really wanted to love was Origins, but using their products routinely, they didn't seem to work for me, and the masks dried out my skin, while the exfoliator gave me dark spots and caused my skin to break out, thus not using anything to clean my face. However, I stumbled across some blog talking about the Korean Skincare Routine that involved using 8-10 different products. With my dry-hyper pigmented skin,I figured that maybe that routine may work best for me, because I need to absorb as much hydration as I can, so I guess my questions are 1. have you experienced general problems with the available skincare we have? 2. what do you think/ have you ever used the korean skincare method 3. what are the best skincare (korean) products for dry, hyper-pigmented, (I guess maybe sensitive) skin
I've been rubbing in my Fresh Seaberry face oil very lightly for the past few months and was looking at other oils that Sephora carries and some say to pat the oil on and others say to rub/massage it in. What's the benefit of each method?
Hello everyone! I'm not entirely sure where to put this skin story, so I hope someone will be able to find this and help me. Okay, so starting around late October/early November, my skin (face) started to get really odd on my, and I started to break out real bad and I started getting dry patches which have become really bad. I don't know why this has happened, some have suggested hormonal problems?? But I am trying to find some products that could help me. All moisturizers I have used have given me acne, so maybe an oil that could help? I'm not sure, but the dry skin is starting to actually get irritated, so any help would be so wonderful. thank you! PS: My skin is sensitive too!
I just started using Clarins products after trying the One-Step Gentle Exfoliator and became hooked. I need a recommendation on a moisturizer. I already use Josie Maran's Argan Oil, but need a cream. Anyone have some thoughts?
Hey, I'm looking for a suitable bb or cc cream for my ultra pale, very dry skin. The winter only makes my skin even drier of course, and therefore more noticeable. while I'm trying to find a product or line of products that work for my skin, I'd lime something that isn't too matte (I've tried the dr. Jart+ line and it feels too tight and shows all my dry spots), and isn't too dark ( smashbox, tarte, and many others are way too dark or yellow). Any help would be appreciated! Not looking for a foundation, just light coverage. And for reference, I'm the lightest shade in Urban Decays Naked foundation, and have pink undertones. Thanks!
I've got impossibly dry skin, and I never wear foundation, I wear only concealer on my skin (liner, mascara around my eyes, concealer under the eyes and on red spots) The issue is without foundation, even if the concealer color is perfect it stands out because the texture of that area looks different than the areas with no makeup, so I am hoping using a translucent powder lightly will help me get away with not wearing foundation. I want a translucent powder that is as white as possible but that won't show up that way on my face, I don't want it to stain or dirty white tops if they touch my face. Any ideas?
I have really dry skin, and need a liquid foundation for prom. I'm going to be wearing MUFE full cover concealer on redness, and Nars radiant creamy concealer under my eyes, so I just need a medium coverage foundation that blends well and looks amazing in pictures.
