Everyday I feel more and more uncomfortable in my skin. I have fair, sensitive, acne prone dry/combo skin, with acne scars on the sides of my cheeks. Seeing girls with flawless skin and makeup applications makes me feel more self-conscious about my skin and makeup that never seems to look right on me. Too drying and matte, too illuminating and oily, too powdery etc. No matter what foundations or techniques or primers I've used, nothing seems to change. I'd like to toss out everything that I've got and start fresh, including my skin care products and choice of foundation, starting with skin care first. Currently I'm using Garnier face wash for sensitive skin, L'oreal alcohol-free toner, and moisturizer also from Garnier with SPF 30. Once in a while I exfoliate, but I've flipped flopped between products since my skin is sensitive to abrasive beads that are usually in those products. Any suggestions would be amazing! Thank you!
For about the past 2 months my foundation looks gross aroundmy nose. The top of my nose is a little oily, while the sides of nose are dry. I use either the Nivea mens post shave balm that everyone talks about or the maybelline baby skin primer. I switch out between my Loreal infallible pro matte, Maybelline fit me matte and poreless or the revlon colorstay foundations. I have stopped wearing makeup because I don't know what to do. Im looking for something on the affordable side if possible, no more than $30. Thanks!!
so basically I have dry, rather sensitive skin, and I'm looking for some great skincare products. I'd like to start anti-aging now even though I'm only 18. So what cleansers, serums, masks, eye creams, moisturizers, and night creams should i look into? xoxo
Hi there. So I just recently made my first Lush purchase. I bought the Mask of Magnaminty and the Full of Grace serum. I was wondering which cleanser would be best to use for my skin. I have dry skin with redness and just finished treating my rosacea. Thanks so much for any and all responses. :-)
Does anyone know of any skincare-only subscription boxes? I just cancelled my Birchbox subscription, since the points system was really the only reason I was sticking around, so I'm looking for a replacement. I'm pretty picky with makeup, but still new to the world of skincare, so it'd be nice to find a subscription box with only skincare items (not mask-only boxes, though). I have looked into some of the Korean skincare boxes, Miss Tutii and MishiBox in particular, but I'm a little wary of the quality of some of the cheaper Korean brands that are often in those boxes and I am very uncomfortable at the prospect of getting skin-whitening products. I also have gotten the impression that a lot of Korean skincare products are for oily skin, and since I have very dry skin, I would have to have a box that is customized for dry skin. I would love to hear from subscribers about their experiences with different boxes!
Hi! I am looking for a cleanser to use with my Clarisonic, and was wondering what you recommended. I have dry to normal and sensitive skin that is the slightest bit oily in the T-zone. Thanks in advance!
I am 22 years old and have always had dry, acne prone skin. I have been struggling because my skin has flakes (dry skinned girls you know what I mean) and it clings to any kind of makeup so I look extra flaky and cakey. The problem is my body tends to over compensate by kicking up oil production so by the end of the day I'm more combination. I'm assuming it's all the oil and the flakes combined that clog my pores and cause my acne issues (correct me if I'm wrong please). I just want to know if there are any types of products, specific products or routine that I can use to break the vicious cycle. Any help would be appreciated!!!
I don't know what this is, but I just have dry, flaky skin just at the creases of my nose that are particularly visible when I wear makeup (mineral or liquid) and I don't know how to get rid of it. I've tried good moisturizers, but it doesn't seem to work and it's very isolated to just the nose crease. I do have dry skin in general, but a good moisturizer usually takes care of any dryness EXCEPT here. It's not so much "patches" of skin, it looks maybe more like pores that have flaked off or something. It's hard to describe. Maybe I will take a picture. Does anybody know what the heck I'm talking about? lol If so, what skin regiment would you recommend?
I have dry skin and I was wondering what order y'all do your skincare in at night or in the morning and maybe what products you use to help with the dryness. Also, how long should I wait to put on makeup after my skincare routine?
Hello! So I have very dry skin year round. I have dry patches by my nose and sometimes on my cheeks and chin. I have been using many different skin care products to make my skin happy and hydrated but can't seem to find the right products. I have been researching about the skin care line called First Aid Beauty and was wondering if those products would be good for me to use. Just wanted some opinions. Thanks!
I used to use a combination of Philosophy Omega 3,6,9 Replenishing Oil and Decleor Ultra Cocooning cream. The new Philosophy Replenishing glee is inferior and the Omega oil by FRESH is no where near as hydrating. Unfortunately Decleor updated it's ultra cocooning cream and it's not the same. I'm searching for equivalent replacements without glycolic acid, retinol etc as I use these separate. Looking for a super duper hydrating night cream please help!
Hello! I have always had oily combo skin. As soon as I turned 30 my skin has been so dry and dehyrated! I have tried a few foundations and have returned them. Nothing sits well. I am looking for a hydrating foundation
Recently I have started to notice after i have applied my make up that my skin looks very dry. I use a face moisturizer, then a CC cream and than liquid foundation by smash box (15 hour) after all that i use translucent poweder in some areas of my face and then a perfecting powder by smash box another. What can I use or do differently so that my face isn't dry or look dry?
My skin is feeling dry right now I am using the Kate Somerville Goats Milk Moisturizer but still feels dry..I have very sensitive skin...any suggestions...I am using smash box primer over the goat milk and wondering if that could be causing the dryness....any suggestions? Do I need a different moisturizer? Thanks!
I'm super lazy (for lack of a better word) with my skin care. I haven't really had a problem with it growing up, but I am 26 and figure I better get on top of it. I am looking for something gentle enough for everyday. Good for dry and sensitive skin. Takes off makeup, and if I'm lucky gets rid of blackheads? Thanks in advance.

Hi Everyone, For quite some time now I've been trying to find the right products for me! Background about myself: 20 year old with normal/dry sensitive skin, redness, texture, finally seeing some wrinkles, and suffer from breakouts around my period. I need help finding all new products besides cleanser and toner! I would love to start using serums, eye creams, or anything else. Another question is when should I begin looking into anti-aging products since i'm only 20? Thanks!
I would say i have very normal skin. I usually only break out on my forehead during my period and it is very mild. I am looking for a full coverage foundation because I have very red cheeks that i am not a fan of. A lot of foundations i try samples of either turn flakey, crease under my eyes, or get very oily on my forehead. which foundation would work well with my skin and which should i at least try. I have tried Makeup Forever HD stick, Clinique chubby, and a sample packet of Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able full coverage.
Hello Everyone! I have normal to dry skin that is also sensitive. I have ezcema and sensitive skin and also the occasional hormonal breakout during that wonderful time of the month. I need help trying to find a moisturizer. please!
Hello all! I've been dealing with a dry flakey face since my late teens (about 5 years). It's centered on my T-zone and upper cheeks. I've tried all kinds of different moisturizers and natural oils, but nothing ever seems to be absorbed. It just seems to sit on my skin. I’ve made diet changes and have been making sure to stay hydrated, but my skin still stays persistently dry. I’m at my wits end, and nothing seems to be working. My skin is fairly sensitive- any suggestions for anything that might help me re-balance my skin’s natural oils? Thanks!
Hi, I'm used to having an oily T zone, with dry cheeks but I've been using pHisoderm from the drugstore for normal to combination skin and it broke me out into a rash really bad. I'm not used to having so many blemishes on my face. And my face is super dry now and tight. Does anyone know of a good face wash for night time and night time moisturizer that I can use to help me? I've thought about getting Origins Checks and Balances since I've used it before, the travel size and it worked pretty well back when I used it.
I'm looking for a good moisturizer/cleanser/exfoliator for my sensitive, dry, flaky patches skin, that breaks out pretty easily ( it's a lot i know) I had been using clinique for years when it suddenly started to make me itch. Thanks in advance!
Hey BTgals, I just got reminded this morning how much my skin loves oils. I had been skipping on them for the past 2 weeks since I'd been suffering from pesky breakouts + been traveling, so didn't really have any with me. Last night, made a dash to the drugstore to get some oil (since there's no Sephora close by), and ended up getting a Loreal facial oil, and slathered that on my face last night! Oh my! My skin looks positively happy and glowing today With the VIB sale round the corner, wanted to hear what your fave face oils were. I haven't tried tons, but mine would be: - Tata Harper Replenishing Nutrient Complex - Caudalie Premier Cru (although I could do with a less heavy rose scent) Do share your faves!!
