Hello. I have combination skin and I am looking for bb cream. I want something that won't make me break out and I've been using Proactive+ so I hope the bb cream won't make my skin worse. I want something that covers my acne as well as post-acne marks, has SPF, won't come off from sweat because I do a lot of dance performances, lasts all day and does not give a flakey look. Maybe a natural or glowey look? Makes me look fresh or clear? Not sure if a matte look is for me. Please help!
I'm looking for a peel that would be closest to my dermatologist office's chemical peel for acne & acne scarring. I had this done at their office two weeks ago to experience Zero peeling (I was told I should indeed peel if I'd left it on long enough for my skin's needs). I can't have it done again for a month for insurance reasons - any input on a strong product to mimic this in-house service? I've only tried the Ole Lemon Strip Flash Peel and thought it was decent.. I have combo, medium-toned skin with near-constant clogged pores (& blackheads) around my t zone (& nose), especially with the warmer weather. I have acne scarring with some pitting and discoloration/ dark spots as well. I use my Clarisonic Mia 3 once a day (& love it!) with REN's Rosa Centifola Cleansing Balm, KS toner & Murad Essntial C Day Moisturizer, which has SPF 30. At night I use a homemade serum, alternated with my Retin A. Thanks guys!! **The peel at my dermas was some % glycolic acid and 15% TCA

Alright, I know I have been asking lots of questions lately but I need some help: -what is an exfoliator used for, how often to use it and the best one out there -what is a toner, how often to use it and the best one out there -morning and night oils -morning and night cleansers I currently have Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Overnight Detox Oil and it works great, I also have Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum, Caudalie Mask (I believe it's the purifying one), First Aid Beauty Moisturizer which I am happy with, Tatcha Oil Cleanser and PTR Gentle Complexion Pads. My skin is combination type and my main concern is pores (on my cheeks are kind of big but they have gotten smaller), blackheads on the nose and all over the face, whiteheads, clogged pores and pesky under the skin acne. I want to aim for products that aren't too harsh or that dry out my skin. I am open to other cleansers since mine is about to run out. I kind of want to stick to an oil cleanser but I am open to buying another cleanser for my night routine. Or just for someone to give me advice on what to use and when. Also, I have dark circles under my eyes and veins (which I know no cosmetic treatment will cure). So I am looking for a good eye cream. I have a Clarisonic but I think that either: 1) I continue using it with a good cleanser and not oil based since I don't feel like they work together or 2) stop using the Clarisonic and substitute it with an exfoliator or anything else. Also any good emergency acne treatments for the before mentioned problem areas. Thank you ladies and thank you for being patient with me.
Hello, I am in need for recommendations for a good cleanser that won't dry out my face. I am currently using Tatcha oil cleanser and I am quite happy with it. But what I find bothersome is that it doesn't effectively work with my Clarisonic. Should I get a different cleanser or should I buy an exfoliator (like the Algenist) and maybe refrain from using my Clarisonic?
I'm looking for recommendations for a good morning cleanser, that I can keep and use in the shower. In the last few months, I've tried both Purity Made Simple and Origins Cheeks and Balance. I really like the Origins cleanser and may purchase again, but I want to see if anyone has recommendations for something else. I use what I consider to be stronger cleansers at night (glamglow youthcleanse or supercleanse, and 2-3 nights a week I use the Fresh soy exfoliant), but I really don't think these would hold up well being kept in the shower and are a bit too abrasive for my morning routine. My skin is combination, and not too much sensitivity. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
That's right. I'm 25 yrs old and all I've ever used on my face is Dove Bar soap. No moisturizer, eye creams, exfoliaters, etc. I'm pretty confused on what products to use and what order to use these products. Do i use: cleanser, face mask, toner, moisturizer? How often do I use a facial scrub? I have large pores on my nose, how do i fix that? I do have my eye on a few things that I want to try out from the website. Some more specifics about my skin 1. I have a oily t zone and eye lids. Rest of my face is normal. 2. Some acne scars on my fore head. Just a few small spots. 3. Faint crows feet 4. I'm having a minor breakout right now on my fore head and a little bit on my temples. It's a little bit red, but skin toned bumps? (I'm African American) Thank you!
I am looking for parabens, sulphates free serum for night routine for my dry-combination skin, i am 25 years old, suggestions please... I am considering OLE HENRIKSEN Truth Serum® Vitamin C Collagen Booster, any one here used it? is it good for my skin? any other serum suggestions?
Hello ladies, Hope you all are enjoying the warm weather! I am interested in buying new products or add products to my regiment. So my goal is to get healthy, radiant, even toned skin and not have to use make-up (yet). I am 24 and I am currently using these products: before going to sleep, I wash my face using Tatcha Pure Step Camellia Cleansing Oil (every so often I use my Clarisonic but I was also thinking of getting a new one soon since mine is a little beat up), then I use Peter Thomas Roth Gentle Complexion Correction Pads, then I put Caudalie's Polyphenol C15 Overnight Detox Oil. In the morning I use facial wipes (like by Simple), then I apply the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum and at last I put First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration. All of these products have helped me battle dryness during the winter season and I will definitely be buying them again. But I feel like there is something else that can help me with my concerns: acne (rare as it is), the scarring and just the overall health and radiance of my skin. I can definitely say that my skin has improved but usually around my period, I break out and the area I usually break out is around the chin area. What I am looking for is products that will not dry my face out, help even out my tone, get rid of acne, blemishes and scarring, anti-aging (? not sure if it's too early but I have been using products that I am pretty sure fight aging), softness and hydration. I am interested in oils, toners, cleansers (having one for the night and morning since I find it hard to use the Tatcha on the Clarisonic). Anything you ladies recommend, I am eager to look up and try if it will work for me. Thank you!
Hi! I am looking for a serum or treatment to reduce the look of pores, redness and to over all just perfect my skin so I can wear less make up. I am 22 so anti aging isn't a huge concern. My skin isn't too sensitive but I do get mild break outs here and there so I don't want anything too heavy. I've seen good reviews on the Lancôme visionnaire texture perfector (it claims to do all the things I've asked for) but I've heard it has a lot of alcohol in it. Any one know if this is a good serum or if there is anything else to help me with my skin? Thank you so much!
I cannot afford a dermatologist so I'm coming to you guys for help! I have combination acne prone skin. I currently use a clarisonic brush with the cleanser that came with it but it dries my skin out. I also have enlarged pores, acne scars, and dark spots. My skin tends to be very oily or very dry. And my skin isn't as plump as it used to be. Can anyone recommend some products that can help me with my problematic skin?
Hello all, I have acne prone very sensitive skin. I use quite a few oil free products I am quite satisfied right now with the clearness of skin, I would like advice on adding a few anti-aging steps and a couple of other things. The skincare products I currently use are: 1. Purity-don't love this-looking for a new cleanser 2. Kate Somerville Toner-love this use 2x daily 3. Kate Somerville Oil Free Moisturizer love this use 2x times daily 4. Tarte Eye Cream-will not be repurchasing-2x a day 5. Tarte Neck Cream-OK 6. Glam Glow Super Mud Cleanser and PTR Blemish Buffing Beads-use 1x or 2x a week. 7.Peter Thomas Roth Max Completion Pads-use 1x or 2x a week 8. Variety of Glam Glow Masks-rotate one about 1x week as needed 9. Dr. Brandts- Crease Release-meh jury is still out on this one. 10. Glam Glow Bright Mud actually love these but I use very sparsely because of the expense. If I were to buy one or two more of the Glam Glow Cleansers (LOVE this line) and use the Glam Glow Cleansers exclusively, would that be too harsh for my skin? Also, looking at Kate Somerville's Gentle Wash as the Detox cleanser is too harsh for my skin. I want to try and add a serum to my routine but so many have caused me to breakout. I am also allergic to retinol. i have forehead fine lines and the parenthesis staring around my mouth. I am noticing a bit of firmness change around my check area. Will a serum enhance the Dr. Brandt's Crease Release at all? I am dying to try the Korres Black Pine serum and line. Do I need to try to try the entire line to see results or will the serum help on it's own. Yes, Sephora does offer a Black Pine kit but the serum isn't included which is a bummer for me. lol Any feedback? Serums that I have tried and had an adverse reaction to are: Kate Somerville's Oil Free Quench PTR Oil Free Unwrinkle Serum Tarte Maracuja Oil Ole's Truth Serum Josie M. Argan Oil Heard so many mixed results with the Clarasonic with my skintype. Some say it works wonders and their skin has never been clearer and cleaner and others have told me, don't buy this as it just makes your skin worse. When I called the Rouge Line to get some advice, they said just use it once or twice a week but then how is that suppose to help the clarity of your skin if it only deep cleans once or twice a week? Lastly, need advice on Essences. Heard so much about the SK II. Would I use an Essense in place of my toner? Wouldn't it make me more oily? I know this is a very long post but would love some advice! Thank you!
Trying to maybe clear up my issues with some pictures of my skin- it's not really acne that I think is my problem it's more uneven skin tone and marks or discoloration- in the light you can see an uneven texture and makeup doesn't look smooth- I get occasional whiteheads or pimples but not all over Again in I wan using adapalene but haven't seen results clearing up the issues I see it just gets flaky and irritated- I am looking into glycol ic acid or some other regimen to try , any advice will help!m
So I've recently posted much about my skin care concerns and asked for suggestions (bumpy like texture, some discoloration, some acne clogged pores) I've been using adapalene cream prescribed by my derm for awhile and it's not really showing much results and leaves me with dry flaky or irritated skin........ ive been looking into and very curious about ditching the adapalene and trying glycolic acid- I'm looking for product recommendations and any experiences with this I currently use fresh soy cleanser, dr jart water fuse gel,sea berry oil thanks!!!
I was looking for a new daily cleanser.I was using Murad Daily Cleansing Foam but wanted to try something new.Has anyone used the new Glamglow cleansers?I believe the black one just came out and couldn't decide between that one or the white one.I have combo skin, pores, blackheads, whiteheads on chin and those darn smile lines.Any help is appreciated.
Okay, So I have combo oily/normal skin (oily only in t-zone) and it's some-what acne prone especially with hormones and stress. I also have those annoying little red bumps on my forehead that aren't really pimples but I'm not sure how to get rid of them (if someone can tell me how I'd be forever grateful.) Any-way I've been looking for a day time moisturizer, and right now I'm finding that my moisturizer seems to sink in but a few hours later my face will be greasy in the t-zone and especially on my forehead. Is that because I need to find a good exfoliator or something else? Which brings me to my second issue, I need a good exfoliator that is chemical instead of mechanical because I feel the mechanical does nothing for me. Cleanser I use: Philosophy Purity Made Simple And I also use Josie Maran Pure Argan oil Moisturizers I've Tried: - Clinique Dramatically Different Gel moisturizer - Bosica Self-Defense Vital Antioxidant Moisture SPF 30 - Purity Made Simple gel moisturizer (drugstore) I would prefer something non scented as well. Exfoliators I've Tried: (most have been mechanical) - Mario Badescu Strayberry exfoliator -Some drugstore St. Ives one Again I am looking for chemical not mechanical. On a side note, and recommendations for night-time moisturizers and eye creams would be appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.
Can somebody weigh in regarding the differences between the three Clarins skin oils, other than what is available in the online description? I'm having a hard time choosing between the three. I have very sensitive skin, oily nose, dry cheeks, large pores here and there.
I have combination skin with blackheads. I've been using the Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell cleansing gel with a Boscia Konjac sponge for several months now. However, I've been noticing that the skin on my cheeks and chin have been getting drier lately. My nose and forehead continue to be oily. The dryness is to the point where I have to put on a face lotion or cream as soon as possible where as before I could wait until I was ready to. I'm looking for recommendations for a new face cleanser. I also plan on getting a Clarisonic when the sale starts on Sunday. I'm hoping that will help with finally getting rid of the blackheads.
Hi. I have combination skin that gets oily on my forehead and nose by midday. I also break out at times. Which Smashbox primer would be better, Smashbox pore minimizing primer or photo finish light? I have tried them both but am thinking the pore minimizer might be drying out my skin and I feel with the light one my makeup starts disappearing after awhile. Thanks.
Hi! I have combination oily skin and am 38. I would love to find a moisturizer with spf that I can wear during the day. I currently use Dior Hydra Life creme. With the 15% off it's okay if it's a high end brand.I want my skin to feel soft and look dewy. Thank you!
I've been using Kate Sommerville for my eye cream for about a month now but I don't feel like it is working. What has worked for you to reduce fine lines? In addition I am seeking day/night moisturizers to address dark spots, and occasional black heads on the sides of my nose. Thanks.
I am looking for a moisturizer for my combo/oily skin. I would like a moisturizer without spf. I would love it to help work with dullness and not make my skin more oily than it is. I live in a tropical/humid climate and in the summer my skin can get pretty oily. Although I do not suffer from acne, when it gets really hot my pores tend to get clogged up. I have previously tried: -Origins Starting Over Age Erasing Oil Free Moisturizer w/ Mimosa -Dr. Jart +Water Fuse Water-Sure Gel -Caudalie Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid -Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Daily Glow Moisture -Ole Henriksen Truth Revealed Super Creme I am considering: -Algenist Multi-Perfecting Pore Corrector Gel -Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation -Boscia Black Hydration Gel -Korres Pomegranate Balancing Cream-Gel Moisturiser -Origins Make a Difference Plus Rejuvenating Treatment Any good experiences with the products mentioned above? Any recommendations? <3Ali
