Hi Beauties, I want to try some of the NARS skincare line but wanted to hear what people thought about it. I have combination skin with acne that will pop up if I use the wrong products. I take an oral medication for acne so I can only use products for very sensitive skin. I've been eyeing the Aqua Gel Luminous Oil-Free Moisturizer: http://www.sephora.com/aqua-gel-luminous-oil-free- moisturizer-P377864?skuId=1478346 and the Multi-Action Hydrating Toner: http://www.sephora.com/multi-action-hydrating-tone r-P377869?skuId=1478296 If anyone has used these products, what do you think? How are they on dry skin, acne-prone skin? Thank you in advance!
I am looking for recommendations for my friend who is getting married in May. She doesn't really have a skin care routine (just washes with a Clean and Clear foaming wash and goes to bed...), and she wants to amp it up to have glowy skin for her wedding. She has normal skin and doesn't really suffer from breakouts (lucky girl!). I have my own AM/PM skin routine for my combo/oily/acne prone skin, but it would be too intense for her. So I would love some suggestions for a cleanser, an exfoliator, and a moisturizer for normal skin and the routine for which to use them. Drugstore, high end, or a mix of the two would be fine. Her biggest issues are dullness and some blackheads on and around her nose. Thanks in advance!
I'm new to Sephora, and need a skin care routine. I'm 20 and I just use drug store face washes for breakouts. I have the combination skin type, I don't wear concealer/powder makeup and I don't want to start. Just looking for a good product to keep my skin smooth, clear, and healthy. Help please!
Hello! My name is Emma and I am 19 about to turn 20 in February. I have normal skin and I am looking into a great skin care routine. I rarely ever break out and when I do it is only one pimple at a time. I do however have white heads. I normally just use drugstore products but now that I am almost 20 I want to treat my skin better and give it some love. I am looking for an every day cleanser, moisturizer, toner, and anything else anyone recommends. Thank you for your help!
hi I have never really used a primer but would like to try - mostly to hide pores. I use Laura M tinted moisturizer as foundation. I have tried Smashbox and it made my face all blotchy and oily. I tried MUFE #7 and I found it made my pores stand out. Any suggestions? My skin is dry but is oily by end of day - so I would say it is a combination. Thanks!
Hi ladies! Can anyone suggest a great moisturizer during the winter? Temperature drops to -25 around here and since I have combination skin, I'm more on the dry side during those months. I would like something affordable and that doesn't make you break out. Thanks!
I am just wondering about certain products. I have been using the three little wonders for the past 2 years, including the pure truth youth activating, but I still need a little more boost into my complection. I have been hearing crazy good reviews about Perricone md, the blue palsma, cold plasma, and the C ester serum. I bought them recently and now I am wondering If I can be able to use them in conjunction with the Ole Henricksen. If I cant use them both, which one has more benefits because I dont want to keep perricone if its not worth the money. ANy advice will be helpful.
Recommendations for combination skin night routine products? I'm 38. Considering sos serum, boscia makeup remover, glam glow cleanser, kate sommerville exfoliate. Need a good night moisturiser. Currently use dior hydrate on eyes.
I am 24, with acne prone (still), combination skin. I also have red cheeks and nose (not rosacea) meaning anything with salicylic acid to treat the acne inflames my cheek. I've tried to find the best skin routine for years and I can't seem to really find anything I stick to or keep coming back to. Any mix of drugstore or sephora-level product recommendations would be appreciated! My skin isn't necessarily oily anywhere, but due to breakouts I classify my skin as combination.
Hi! I have combination skin and I am looking for a good moisturizer with SPF. I would like the SPF to be at least 25, more would be better... I just don't know which one to try. I'd prefer one that isn't tinted or anything. I currently use Hope in a Jar but I'm almost done with it, and want to replace it with something with SPF. Or should I just use a 'regular' moisturizer over or under sunscreen? Thanks!!
After washing my face, do I skip moisturizer and apply? Or can I apply moisturizer and then apply this mask right before I go to bed? Sometimes I have like a 2 hour gap between the time I wash my face and actually go to bed.
So I finally decided to buy a Clarisonic and came online to order, just to find out there are many options of Clarisonic and also of products to go with it...I tend to go with the Mia as it is the cheaper and seems to be the more simple to use. My skin is combination with regular breakouts (1-2 a month) on the chin region. At first I would not want to use any products with acids, just a plain (not very agressive) cleaner... Oh, and I just plan to use on my face. Any ideas?
I am 23 and my skin has gone through some dry phases and then oily phases. Currently I would say that it is in the normal phase but due to winter quickly approaching, I would like to try something new. I am currently using Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Cleansing Gel, Ole Henriksen Truth Creme Vitamin C Advanced Hydration, Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair and Idealist Skin tone. I sed to also have Peter Thomas Roth's Gentle Complexion Correction Pads and I ran out and never had the time to buy another pack. But like many women, I feel like I would like to try something new. My skin is fairly clear BUT my main concerns are: dryness, acne, uneven skintone, acne scars, dark spots. I use the Clarisonic brush but not as often as I used to. I'm interested in a moisturizer, cleanser, oil, corrective pads or serum or both. I have even tried Dr. Dennis Gross but I can't say that they worked since I only had the smallest sample. So please shoot at me any good suggestions.
Hi there! So I struggle with some acne every now and then, but not much anymore. Now it's usually just the dark spots/scars they left behind that I gotta deal with.. I also have combination skin! I've been using Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15 and it's been nice, but now I'm almost done and I want to find something new! For daily use during the daytime Help? I was interested in Embryolisse's moisturizer because it apparently worked amazingly and it could double as a primer (and I started wearing BB cream so i guess that would be a plus?) but it's sold out everywhere so guess that wont work
I used Olay cleansing clothes for the last 10 years, I get a pimple maybe twice a year but dry cheeks. I started building up some nicer makeup/skin care and swapped out the cleansing cloths for the Precision Pore Cleansing Pad and Korres Milk Proteins Foaming Cleanser to help with the dryness. I read in some reviews that there's an initial breakout period with the cleansing pad but I'm going on week four and I've had more acne than the last 2 years combined. I'm I still in the "initial breakout period" or is this not working? The dryness has improved but I'm getting tired of battling this and my T zone is taking a beating.
Hello all, I have finally run out of my Philosophy cleanser and am eager to try something new. I loved that it took all my makeup off and didn't further dry out my skin, but while the product itself didn't cause any breakouts, it wasn't preventing any hormone-related breakouts or doing anything super wonderful/noticeable for my skin. I am not looking for an acne treatment. I ordered and am currently waiting to receive the Origins Checks and Balances cleanser, but if you have any other suggestions for me or have personal experience with Origins, I'm all ears! Skin concerns: -semi-sensitive -combination/dry -dull -hormonal breakouts -anti-againg? (not necessary, but would be a plus for prevention purposes)
Hello all, With colder weather creeping in, I'm wondering what oil-free moisturizer is best to tackle drier winter skin. I have dry-combination skin (oily in the t-zone, dry cheeks/chin/ and especially the jawline) and therefore find that oil-free moisturizers work best with my skin. I have been using Clinique's Dramatically Different Gel for a very long time and without issues in the spring and summer months, but find that it doesn't moisturize my dry areas enough in the fall/winter. I have also tried Philosophy's "take a deep breath" oil-free moisturizer, but it irritated and broke out my skin. I would love to know of this type of product with anti-aging/SPF, but any help is appreciated!
Hi there! For years and years, I've been trying to figure out what skin type I have. I personally feel like its OILY - where if I wash my face at 8am, I feel like it's oily by noon. However, not every aspect of my face is oily. Definitely more so in the T-Zone. So then I thought, ok maybe I have combination skin. But in reading beauty advice/tips... it always says that the areas outside of the T-zone (cheeks) are usually dry and flakey. Which mine are NOT. My cheeks are normal.. oily by the end of day. But my forehead, nose, chin are oily all the time. So, does that mean I have combination skin or oily skin?!
Do you use cleansing oil primarily as a means to remove makeup and then follow up with cleanser? I am considering implementing cleansing oil into my routine but I've never used it before, so I'm unsure. I also have combination slightly oily skin with sporadic spot breakouts, so I'm afraid that cleansing oil could potentially make this worse. If you do use cleansing oil, what do you use? What do you recommend for someone with combination slightly oily skin that is concerned about breakouts (but also wants to focus on anti-aging)? Thanks so much!
I had a reaction after using the First Aid Beauty 3 pack. My face is ready and itchy and feels like it is on fire! I usually dont have any issue with products and was looking for a foor cleaner/moisterizer for my skin. What should I use now?
Anyone have any suggestions as for a cheaper alternative to Eve Lom Cleanser? I use Retin A and am near-constantly resurfacing & need something as effective for exfoliation. I have combination skin w scarring from acne - old and new. Thank you for ANY input!
I'm looking for a facial spray that I can use mid day to perk up my face when it's feeling or looking dry. With the colder weather and my office building blasting the dry heat, I could really use a moisture boost by afternoon. I need something that will make me feel hydrated but that will not disturb my makeup. I wear a full face to work and I need it to stay undisturbed. I have the Clinique Moisture Surge spray and while it worked well over the summer it's not doing the job now. If I try just adding an extra squirt or two it gets sticky and gross. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions
Between these glamglow mask, wish one do like the most? and why? Which one do think will be better for me, I have combination skin ( really oily nose, and the rest of my face is super dry). My skin is dull and has no radiance
