Hi, guys! So, I'm in need of a mask or cleanser that will help clear out blackheads or minimize them. I have them pretty bad on my nose and I get a few on my cheeks near my nose. My skin is normal, not oily, not dry. It's also not very sensitive. I've only got one mask that actually pulls the blackheads out, and it's Glamglow. The only problem is if I use two times in a row, the mask doesn't work the third time and I have to try something else. After using other masks, it works again two times and then I have to switch again. One other mask that helps a little is the Peter Thomas Roth Sulfur Cooling Masque. It helps but not that much. Other than that nothing else really has any effect on them, though. I've tried Exfolikate, but it dried out my skin and left the sides of my nose raw and my skin isn't even sensitive. It also had no effect on my blackheads. I've tried the Boscia Luminzing Black Mask and the Purifying Pore Strips and neither of those do anything but pull off dead skin. Sorry that's so long Thank you so much in advance!
Hello beautifuls...are you a believer in double cleansing?? If not why and if yes what products have you used in combination that have left you with happy balanced skin?? I have been experimenting first with the cleansing oils (Shu Uemeria Purifying when travelling, Murad Rejuvenating in AM, Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing in PMl) vs actual pure oils first to remove waterproof SPF/makeup and then a creamy cleanser ( Algenist Gentle Rejuvenating Cleanser) or a foaming cleanser. Occasionally I would add an intermediate step such as a mild scrub or salicylic acid wash if I feel I need extra help with congestion. First I must say I prefer cleansing oils due to their emulsification abilities with water. What combinations have you tried??
Hey guys, I'm wondering if it's ok to use multiple face cleansers? I'm currently using Cerave foaming facial cleanser and I like it but I've also just ordered Purity by Philosophy and Checks and Balances by Origins (product junkie)! Would it be ok to rotate through these cleansers? If so, how often should I switch them? I've read that your face may get used to a cleanser so you should switch but I've also heard it can be quite bad for your skin. So confusing Thanks in advance for all the help!
I finally bought a Clarisonic! Yay! But now...I'm thinking ahhh!! Do I need to update my skincare routine? I have combination skin. Breakouts and dryness are not abnormal at the same time for me. I'm curious what everyone is currently doing for skincare morning and night ? When do you use your Clarisonic? When do you use your masks? Exfoliates? Thanks in advance everyone!
I really like my cleanser. It s not available in stores or online . http://www.sephora.com/milk-proteins-foaming-cream -cleanser-P270709?skuId=1247931 where else can I find it or what will be the best replacement for it ?
Hello there, I'm looking for recommendations on a skincare line that is safe to use while pregnant. I have combination skin and live in Florida, so I don't want anything that is really heavy. Any suggestions?
Hello! I have combination skin (super oily on the ''T'' zone and super dry on the chin and cheeks). I wanted to know which everyday routine do you guys recommend to have a fresh and natural looking ! (foundation, concealer and setting powder). Thank you.
Hi. This question is more about solving problems for the future then issues now. I'm 26, very fair with red undertone and not any real problems. With the sale on I've been thinking this might be the time to try things I should be doing for the benefit of my skin in the future, but I have zero ideas what that would be. The specifics are as follows: I'm super fair and don't tan. I tend to red, especially in the cheeks, but it doesn't bother me especially once foundation is on, so I don't really worry about it. I'm not super dry, but I tend toward drier as opposed to oily. I get the occasional blackhead and breakout on my forehead and more than occasional on my chin, but they aren't too big or bad and don't worry me. I also get the occasional white head around the temple region. I wash in the morning and at night with a cetaphil bar for dry/sensitive skin (I occasionally have dermal allergic reactions) and wear an spf 15 with moisturizer every day. At night, on top of the soap, I use neutrogena makeup remover wipes to help with stubborn mascara, wash that residue off, and put on moisturizer especially around the eyes. I don't have any real skincare concerns now, but I want to make sure I don't kick myself for not doing something 5, 10, 15 years down the line. Thanks for any advice!
I need help figuring out clarisonic to purchase. I Have minimal breakouts with maybe one or two blemishes a week but I have a ton of blackheads areund my nose and on my chin. I have tried so many face washes and face masks and nothing is helping to reduce them! I also have huge pores. If someone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated!!
I was just watching a TV show and saw that a celebrity was making her own moisturizers and toners with ingredients that she thinks are beneficial for her skin type! The expiration date is shorter, but I think it'd be so much fun I'm wondering if there are stores that sell skincare ingredients/props/jars/tools/etc.. or if there's something like a workshop? these are the kinds of ingredients she used - glycerin, hyaluronic acid , propolis, jojoba oils, pomegranate water, aloe, vitamin E, etc
Hey everyone. I just bought the Philosophy purity one-step face wash a week ago. Just wanted to try it out. and I love it! so now I'm looking to start using more products. I have mostly oily skin. What is everyones favorite product(s)? I am interested in trying a moisturizer but also interested in the other products but don't know much about this line. Anyone with oily skin- what products do you like? or work well for your skin? Any comments welcome
I'm hunting for new skincare items, especially a good day time moisturizer and I'm really interested in the Camu Camu Power C x 30 Anti-Wrinkle Brightening Kit. I have occasional hormonal breakouts, but nothing serious, and skin that gets a little dry and sensitive in the winter.
Hello, my skin had a horrible reaction to this serum which is disappointing as my skin has had a great reaction to oil free skincare products in her line. Does this product have retinoid or a derivative of this ingredient? I am allergic to this did not see any mention of it before I bought the product. Every serum/oil I've tried I've had a bad reaction to. I am 29 with acne prone/sensitive skin and would love to start something anti-aging in my skincare routine. I've tried PTR's anti wrinkle serum, tarte's maracuja oil,Ole Henriksen Truth Serum, and now Kate's oil free quench. Thank you for any help!
I noticed today that the Boscia Mask Medley is sold out! Does anyone know if it will be restocked? Also, I checked the Boscia Art of Multi Masking and noticed it is limited edition. I was trying to wait for Chic Week to purchase these but I dont want to miss out if they will be completely gone before Chic Week.
Hi all I am in my early 20s and am looking to begin a skincare regimen but have no idea where to start or what kind of products I need. I think I have combination skin (though I'm not sure about that either!) - my skin seems fairly normal but towards the end of the day my nose and forehead are usually quite shiny. I don't have major issues with acne or blackheads but I do get the occasional breakout of zits. I just want a regimen that is pretty easy and not too expensive, because I've been reading that at this age I need to start caring about my skin for benefits when I'm older. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Does anyone have any suggestions for a drugstore moisturizer that wont clog my pores or make me more oily? I kind of want to save my money for chic week and I need a moisturizer like yesterday because I'm out! I have combo skin that leans a little more towards oily (T zone). I have a few dry patches on my chin and sometimes my cheeks. Thanks!
So I got a facial yesterday for the first time. Lovely experience, although she was a crappy masseuse. However my skin didn't really look all that different. I struggle with large pores/blackheads (or whatever the new term for black spots on the nose is). They are the bane of my existence, and I've had them since I was 13. Pore strips work alright, but I feel they are pretty harsh and I don't like using them. I have a pretty vigorous exfoliation routine (alternate with a scrub and clay masks every day), PTR's 2% AHA 10% BHA serum, glycolic acid toner, ect. but I still have these spots. They have gotten better, but are still there, so I thought a facial where they did more intense exfoliation or extractions would help. Maybe I just need a better esthetician? The majority of the salons around me are Aveda salons, and I'm not completely sold on that brand. Anyways, the point of my ramblings are, do you get regular facials? What brands do they use? How would you suggest choosing a good spa/salon?
Hi All! I am in need of an exfoliator. I have very sensitive, combo skin (with some acne). I know exfoliators need to not be harsh but I really want there to be enough "scrub" that I feel it is working - sometimes I don't get that with exfoliators? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
