I am 26, and am usually pretty awful about taking care of my skin. I never really had an acne issues as a teenager but recently have had really troubled skin. I get oily in my t-zones and am dry elsewhere. I suffer from milia, not around my eyes but most often on my cheeks. Also heavy black heads on my nose and chin, with some in my cheek area. I do own a clarisonic pro which I use when I remember. I live in Florida so I get decent sun exposure. My skin isn't overly sensitive but can be with really abrasive products. Hoping for some good suggestions for a full skin care regimen... i.e. cleanser, toner, serum, eye cream, weekly mask, etc. Anything to help and start preventative work as I get older!
I've been using Pure Perfection for almost a year now and I love it! However, I'm also interested in trying some other Ole moisturizers (especially Express the Truth and Nurture Me), and I see almost all of them have great ratings. Has anyone tried different moisturizers from the line, and if so what are your thoughts on them?
I am looking to change up my skincare routine, and do not know where to start. Any advice is greatly appreciated!! I have been using my Clairsonic nightly with Purity face wash, followed by Clinique clarifying lotion 2, and then Clinique dramaticaly different moisturizers for so long! I have been hearing that i shouldn't use my clairsonic every day. I have very normal skin, not really oily or dry. I tend to have a few breakouts right beside my chin, and a few blackheads beside my nose. My questions are: how often should i use it? what cleanser should i use with it? should i use the same cleanser in the morning, and on the nights i don't use the Clairsonic?
I bought Lush's Rosy Cheeks, but it hasn't reduced my redness at all. I was recommended Dr Brandt's Water Replenishment Sheet Mask. I have normal skin, not oily or dry, but I have mild rosacea. I don't mind if it's a mask, a night serum, or a cream, any face product that is guaranteed to reduce redness is fine.
I am having the most difficult stress filled time. Previous to Jaclyn Hill's video raving about the Josie Maran Vibrancy Foundation I was set on purchasing the NARS all day luminous weightless foundation. But now I can't choose which one I want. Both is not an option, at least not right now because I am a college student and in the process of moving into an apartment and purchasing a new car. So if you guys had a choice between the two or absolutely love one but have yet to try the other let me know! Thanks xoxo
Hello friends! I am just looking for advice/feedback about the Clarisonic Mia 1 and Mia 2. I am considering buying one of these products, but I am not sure which is better for me. I have combo oily skin, fairly large pore, and I have a lot of breakouts (I only break out a little when it's that time of the month). Basically, I am just looking into buying this to help me take better care of my skin. What would you recommend for me and/or what do you think about either one of these products?
What are some of the best foundations to use for a natural look? I usually stick to using Nars concealer and top it with my Laura Mercier loose foundation powder, but I am wanting to try a liquid foundation.
Hi! I"m 13 years old and am for looking some good skincare products. I have normal/dry skin with some acne here or there. I'm currently looking for a moisturizer and possibly eye cream? I currently use Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation moisturizer which I found out had anti aging properties in there which I feel I'm too young for... I use to use Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer which I felt worked good for me but when I went to Sephora planning to buy it again the skincare woman there said it was for more mature skin than mine and recommended me Ole Henriksen? Anyways, I'm just trying to find a good moisturizer for normal - dry skin and possibly a good eye cream for dark circles? Thanks in advance!
Hello, I have been watching alot of youtube videos on skincare routines and I recently jumped on the bandwagon. I have oily to combination skin. My t-zone is oily, but there are times that I get dryness on my forehead or chin. I have never dealt with dryness on my cheeks and I have dealt with acne from the 4th grade all the way to high school. I am currently 26 and I am the type of girl that really does not wear makeup at all except on special occasions. I do get facials on rare occasions at massage envy and they use the Murad skincare line. I love the murad products and they have worked really well with my skin. I also use drugstore brands and I have also invested in high end brands along with my Clarisonic Mia2. I want opinions on my skincare regimen if it is too much or is it good for me. This is my regimen: AM routine Murad Enviromental Shield started kit because my aesthetician recommended me that line since I have dryness around my eyes. The kit comes with: -Essential C cleanser -Intensive-C radiance peel (use 2x a week Monday & Friday) -Rapid age spot & pigment lightening serum -Essential-C day moisture -Essential-C eye cream I also use Murad acne spot fast fix as a spot treatment PM routine Monday, Wednesday & Friday -Biore baking soda pore cleanser -Biore baking soda cleansing scrub -Freemans cucumber facial peel (Monday & Friday) -Freemans avacado oatmeal clay mask (Wednesday) -Neutrogena acne stress control toner -Garnier moisture rescue refreshing gel cream (green bottle) -Garnier clearly brigther anti-puff eye roller Tuesday & Thursday -Biore deep pore charcoal cleanser -Clarasonic mia2 -Boscia charcoal pore pudding -Neutrogena acne stress control toner -Garnier moisture rescue refreshing gel cream -Garnier clearly brigther anti-puff eye roller Saturday -Biore charcoal cleanser -Clarisonic mia2 -Biore one minute self heating mask -Biore pore strip -Neutrogena acne stress control toner -Garnier gel cream -Garnier eye roller Sunday I use my glamglow products. I have Supercleanse, Youthcleanse, Thirstycleanse, Supermud and Thirstymud. I try to alternate each cleanser with with the mask every week (ex. Supercleanse with supermud one week, then super cleanse with thirstymud the other, then youthcleanse with supermud, youthcleanse with thirstymud, etc) Let me know what yall thik about it. I really need advice. Thanks!!
I'm 19 years old. I usually breakout on my forehead and cheeks. My cheeks seem to have a lot of redness due to the red bumps I get. Anything to help control it? I also have a combo of oil and dry skin along with sensitive skin. It's frustrating because my face color is so uneven due to the redness.
I live in a place where the sun is not out regularly and vitamin D are highly recommended by doctors and needed on a daily basis because we do not get as much sun as new york. I was wondering if there is an oil, lotion, cleanser, mist, anything that can deal with combo/normal skin that has guaranteed VITAMIN D in the ingredients that truly work on my skin. Thank You!!
Hi. I'm looking for a new skin care routine and I'm torn between the Fresh Umbrian Clay collection and the Laneige line for combination to oily skin. My cheeks are usually very dry and my t zone is oily so I'm not sure what products would be best. Any suggestions?
Hello! Please help! I'm 24 and have normal skin, I think it is a little dry, but I've been told its normal by my dermatologist. I have some flakiness around my hair line, on my earlobes, and on my cheeks. I have little to no acne, (some mild acne scars from my teenage years, but nothing serious). I have bought and tried "skin care routines" before and I think they made my skin worse. They made them more dry, and more irritated. Im looking for very healthy, hydrated, and easy to work with skin. Right now makeup looks god awful on my skin, exposes and enhances my dryness and you can see more clearly the cracks in my skins, especially on the bridge of my nose, my cheeks, and in between my eyebrows. I don't have a set "skin care routine" because of lack of knowledge, there is so much out there that Im just not sure what will ACTUALLY help, without wasting all my money. I use a mild cleanser (Cetaphil) in the morning to wash my face after I work out, and if I put on makeup that day, I use Purity to wash at night. The only "moisturizer" I use that seems to help aid my makeup wear for the next day is a simple bath and body works lotion. *cringe* I know... I have yet to try a moisturizer that I can use at night and in the morning that will actually hydrate my skin and prep it for the day, with or without makeup. I have no idea how to really treat and care for my skin, Im not sure the order of things, or what products I'm supposed to use to help my skin look its best, with or without makeup. Please help me better understand what I need to do to help my skin stay hydrated and look its best! Thank you !
hi i tried to start a complete skin are routine . i bought revitalift loreal face wash, day and night creams . i started having breakours had pain for them .i had these pim ples on cheeks, sometimes around lips , on forehead, chin even under nek area . i am in doubt about my skin type now. these products are for all skin types that i was using . now i have stopped using anything . i need a guidence so i can restart my skin routine.
I have tried so many. I'm struggling to find a moisturizer I love and that does not cause breakouts. I break out mainly on my cheeks, chin, and jaw/jawline. 1. Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel: This doesn't feel like enough hydration. I love the texture, I love the feel. This used to be my HG moisturizer but as I've gotten older it's just not enough. 2. Clinique Moisture Surge: Feels too silicone-y/plastic-y. May have caused breakouts. Belif Aqua Bomb: This is not oil-free and I think was causing me breakouts. 3. Boscia Black Hydration Gel: It was okay...but a skin rep at Sephora told me that using charcoal daily is not good for my skin because it pulls out impurities??? 4. Boscia Sake Balm: Soooo sticky. Weird/goopy texture. Returned. 5. Sunday Riley Tidal cream: Latest one I purchased. Has a lot of fragrance in it and I am afraid that is causing me breakouts/small bumps. It's $65 dollars and honestly has not wowed me in the last few days I have been using.
I recently purchased it because it said it was good for brightening benefits. My concern is that I may be too young to be using it because of the anti-aging benefits. Is that true? And at what age should I start using products for anti-aging benefits?
Hi everyone- so I need some desperate help and advice...I have combination skin that I have been trying to tackle with blemishes that I can't seem to avoid. Using cleansers with salicylic acid dries me out. But I have been using the clinique acne gel spot treatment for flare ups. I have tried the Ren clarimatte cleanser and the Ren clay cleanser and was that happy with the results. I tried the Boscia warming cleanser and that did not seem to give me the results I wanted either. I am now on to the GLAMGLOW supercleanser and I have only been using it for just about a month and I don't seem sold on it either. I don't know if I am over doing it for my skin or not. Should I try to FAB red clay cleanser or a Murad one? Should be trying something more gentle and no so focused on acne/blemishes? Also what kind of moisturizer would benefit me the most as well? I have been using the Ren clarimatte gel moisturizer and I do like that but is there something else that would help me...Please help!
Am looking for a moisturizer that fits my needs and preferences, but don't know where to start... I have combo skin - some normal, oily and dry patches. I really like gel textures - my current moisturizer is gel. I would be willing to try a gel-cream one though. Preferably under 75$ as I am a college student, lol. Thanks!
