Can someone that has used this system tell me about their experience and whether or not they would recommend trying it? Thank you!

Sounds interesting what @sauceofchaos have said. Seems like european skincare products are better. Some european brands recommendations?

plusbelle---Weleda is my favorite European skincare company! If I had the money to hoard all their stuff, I would!

I am currently using the device and have mixed results. It seems to irritate my forehead but the rest of my face is fine. I am not impressed and imagine any manual facial brush can do the same job. I am hoping to buy a real Clarisonic soon.

I use the brush they make the Olay Prox, but not the skinccare products. Moms sisters cousins nanas everyone has always used Olay in my family so I'm guessing it's gotta be good stuff. Certain things from Olay my skin doesn't agree with more so from their cheaper lines, But I tried Olay's Regenerist Cleanser once and I really enjoyed it. The brush is a spinning battery operated cleansing system ( Clarisonic dupe), it deep cleans way better than using your hands alone. I like it better than my Clarisonic since the whole brushhead spins, and it's more compact. It's cheaper, too making it more sanitary to use since I can replace the brush heads more often. It's 30 dollars and I think u should really try it with the line of products you were speaking of. I've noticed big differences in my skin, and might try that line as well. Even my boyfriend likes it he said his skin felt way softer. So yeah, definitely look into the Olay Prox line I think you will like it.

I haven't used it and was thinking about trying it myself. There are a few reviews on it on youtube, so you could check those out.

Whatever the success rate of this product, Olay is owned by Proctor & Gamble and they are huge in animal testing.

I also read somewhere ( I wish I knew where so I could post the link!) that the FDA in the United States has only banned 6 ingredients......6 ingredients that are common in the cosmetic products since they started regulating cosemtics in the late 1930's. Europe on the other hand has band over 400+.......
Certain chemists have been trying to get certain ingredients banned, like Phthalates. Everytime they bring this to court, guess what company is there to defend the banning of certain chemicals? Proctor and Gamble. They own everything. Even Iams, pet food. If these companies are going to defend harmful products that could cause severe adverse reactions, I say buyer beware.

The $95 DDF cleansing brush is an EXACT copy of the Olay ProX...well its prob. the other way around but its the SAME EXACT machine, and the Olay one is only 30 bucks!
I havent tried it yet, heard horror stories from the Clarisonic and this system is a lot gentler on the skin I think so it shouldnt cause a reaction or breakouts...but I'm still iffy on using something thats pulling and tugging at my skin.
As for animal testing...I havent used anything tested on animals in years but this is a FACIAL BRUSH so this particular item isnt used on animals so I'm not going to feel guilty if I do decide to get it.

Oh and another thing. The whole concept of boycotting companies who test on animals is so they get the message and not do it. It doesn't matter if it's a facial brush, and I can read btw. I don't need the caps. If your gonna take a stand, take a stand.

anaa--its not like I'm supporting animal testing. Its just a brush that I'm prob not gonna get, its just something I've been reading about on and comparing reviews on to the Clarisonic. Thats all. A lot of my friends and family members that have used the Clarisonic like the concept of a cleaning machine, but dont like that it irritated their face and made them break out so I'm just trying to find something to recommend to them. They want to keep using some kind of machine, but not the Clarisonic. So this whole thing isnt about me wanting it anyway. I've grown up on Olay and Nivea, my mother, grandmother and prob great grandmother used these products. Did they know about the whole animal testing thing? No. Are they using the products now? No. And Carrie Underwood ( love her!!!), who's this vegetarian and loves animals is even advertising Olay. I personally have no interest in using any sort of cleansing machine. I have normal to dry/sensitive skin and I tried a manual facial brush once and hated it ( made my skin hurt, irritated, red and breakouts) so I cant even imagine what a rotating one would do to me. Plus cleanser and toner is enough deep cleaning for me, its not like there's makeup left behind after that.

Hi -- I'm curious as to how you arrived at the opinion that the DDF brush or the Olay brush would be gentler on the skin than the Clarisonic?

katie---the brushes are just a lot softer. And most reviews online on the ProX say things like "horrible exfoliator, might as well be brushing my face with a baby blanket" and stuff like that. All the negative reviews on it are about how a cheap buff puff does a better job, and that it doesnt deep clean.

anaa--"I" didnt say that it spreads bacteria, thats just what I was told by a dermatologist and I was passing on the information to someone who wanted an opinion about it. The woman told me that her patients used to be high school kids trying to deal with their acne, but in the last 2 years most of her patients are people trying to recover from the Clarisonic. I'm glad that it works for you. I know how it feels to FINALLY find a product that you love and want to use everyday, and never be without it. Especially after you have spend all that money on other useless junk that did nothing but irritate your skin and empty your pockets. But just because you're thrilled with it, that doesnt mean that she will be too. She might, but I have to be honest with people, so I told her what I know, and what I was told. Its not a magic cure for everyone. I'm not going around bashing the Clarisonic, but if people ask about it, I'm gonna tell them what I was told so that if they end up being disappointed and not liking it as much as everyone else than they might be less bummed out about it.
I feel like I'm being attacked sometimes.

I really haven't researched any European products and if I had more time(motivation) I would look into seeing what ingredients they have banned. That would be interesting!
As far as cleansing brushes..... Dermatologists/Estheticians that do recommend and sell them NEED to go into the proper education on how to use them. I feel like their isn't enough guidance. Most brushes have different heads to suit specific skin types. Cleaning the brushes is something people tend to space out about. Maybe users think that the soap they are using to cleanse their face will fight the bacteria on the brush? Not sure...... I use barbicide on mine. http://www.barbicide.com/
I know Sally's Beauty Supply used to sell a cleansing brush for under $50. But I think P&G have a share in Sally's too. Haha,

I actually just recommended the Shiseido manual face brush to my friends. The reviews say its really gentle, so it should remove excess makeup and deep clean w/o tearing up their skin. I hope it works out for them.

So what will make this less liking to "spread bacteria" than the Clarisonic? Curious.

Animal testing is the society we live in unfortunately, there are tons of brands that test on animals that we as consumers haven't the slightest idea about. It's all in the marketing =(

Re: animal testing, yes it is prevalent and yes difficult to ferret out. However, nothing changes with complacency. There are many companies that don't and it's much easier to investigate companies than it used to be thanks to the internet.
