Need help with skin care product...

I am 32 and have had pretty good luch with my skin up until about a year ago. I have been having a lot of problems with breakouts, at first it was only during pms time, but lately it has been all the time.  I started using the dermalogica stuff, but I am not to impressed with it.  It does not clear up my acne at all and it gives me dry patches of skin turning it all flakey.  Actually any facial wash drys up my face a lot.  I also have a ton of blackheads on my nose and chin and cannot seem to get rid of those at all either!  My T zone gets oily often too.  I have fair / light skin and I cannot ever seem to find a foundation to match my skin!  Everything I have tried either is to orange or to brown!  I try to use a foundation that is oil free as I am sure that the oil isnt helping with breakouts!

Any suggestions!???  I was thinking about trying the Clinique Acne set, but all most all the reviews state it drys skin out.  Also, any suggestions about foundation?  I do not have a Sephora any where near me so I can try before I buy which is really frustrating too!!

THANKS!!!

Hello laterbloomer110 .. Id like to let you know about a great anti-aging miricle set made by mary kay. With the set you get a 3-1 clenser, timewise moisturizing lotion, our night time gel, as well as our day time cream with 35 spf included. This is mary kays number one selling skin care set. The set exfoliates, cleanses, moisturizes, Cleans out pores, Miricle Time Ageing, Clears up acne. I was a skeptic when i first started selling mary kay , but i have been doing it for about a year now and i love it the products are great and i never have someone tell me they were not impressed by the products. I had a lady buy the set and about a week later igot an email from her and she was just so impressed that already she had seen her acne clear up and her face looked like it did when she was 30 and she was turning 50.. The produst are truly amazing.

I have adult acne and currently (past 2 weeks) I've been using the Peter Thomas Roth Max Complexion Correction Pads and they truly are working wonders. I've really tried too many products to list here and this is the only thing that I felt was worth my money. My acne is not as vulgar and bumpy and the redness is going away and I feel as though my pores are definitely 'purging'. Other products claim to 'purge' but I never felt they truly were doing anything other than making more annoying irritating blemishes on my face. This product really does correct your complexion.

Re: Need help with skin care product...

Hi Laterbloomer!  Where are you seeing the breakouts?  If you are noticing that products designed for acne tend to dry out your skin, an acne treatment regimen is probably not  the best way to go.  There are some great treatment product that will help with the acne that you can add to your current regimen rather than switching all together.  If the breakout is just in a small area, I would recommend trying a spot treatment such as Kate Somerville EradiKate Acne Treatment .  If it is in a larger area or all over, I would recommend using an all over  treatment such as Murad Exfoliating Acne Treatment Gel .  Using these types of products in conjunction with cleanser and moisturizer that are designed for your skin type shouldn't result in dryness.  The best product I've found to help reduce blackheads over time is the Clarisonic  skincare brush.  This has really helped reduce my most stubborn blackheads that were too painful to extract.  It is also a great maintenance tool to improve your overall skin condition.

As for foundation, it sounds like you are using colors that are too dark or too yellow.  I would take a look at Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation   which has a wide range of colors and undertones to choose from.  Check out the shade finder to assist you with color matching.

I totally get what you're going through. We share the same problems girl.  I've found the best product out there for our situation but my problem is that this prod is a little expensive. It's the Kinerase Clear Skin Treatment Serum. I went to the Sephora store and a consultant gave me a sample. This product works amazingly well for me. It calms down my blemish, clears out all dark spots plus evens my skin and helps with first signs of ageing. I use it overnight and I wake up looking perfect. And I mean that! I've tried at least 20 other products out there and never got the same results. But like I said this is a kinda expensive, normal price is $79 but you can find for $60. I used to buy online here on Sephora but I can't find it anymore, don't know why. I'm sure you can find at the Sephora store or online at Amazon.

Go to a Sephora store and ask for a sample of this product. Use it overnight and let me know if it works for you as it did for me!

I'm still trying to find a replacement for this product... something with similar formula - can't afford buying it all the time.
