What would be a good cleanser and moisturizer with SPF for me? My skin is combination -- oily in the T-zone -- and is tight after I cleanse with Clinique combination-oily liquid facial soap. I have medium-sized pores on my cheeks, acne on my chin, and fine lines on my forehead. I would like a fairly basic cleanser; it does not need to foam. I would also like a day time moisturizer with SPF that helps to minimize my pores and fine lines, that also is not too mattifying.
Normal, after I clean with philosophy purity cleanser and wipe off excess water when I wash. Sometimes tightness but not dryness when I use Lancome Tonique Doucheur . Usually it's fine and I don't feel tightness. Also sometimes I follow up with Clinique Dramatically Moisturizing Gel. The same tightness but not dryness occurs sometimes. I would consider myself to be normal/combo skin. Oily in T-zone but normal at the cheeks. What am I doing wrong?? edit: So I lied.. I'm feeling dryness at the highest points of my cheeks right now. (After cleanser and just toner.)
Does anyone have any reccomendations for acne face wash? I have combination oily/normal skin type, I get oily mainly on my T-zone and nose. I've been REALLY stressed lately (:/ ) which is why I know I've been breaking out more often. Its like everyday one new zit has gone away to be replaced by a new one. ugh. I am currently using the clean and clear morning burst face wash and have been for quite some time; I have loved this forever so Im really sad it isnt working for me anymore But what can you do? I just know I now need something with more power and just overall something that works super fast (such as overnight) and something that will improve the look and feel of my skin overall. I would also like the product to be from the drugstore so Im not spending a whole lot of money on face wash (since thats something that I go through a lot!). Any product reccomendations are appriciated Thank you for your time!
I recently purchased the Algenist Multi-Perfecting Pore Corrector Gel Moisturizer and I don't think it's working well on my skin. It doesn't seem to play well with the tinted mositurizer I use after the mosturizer. any thoughts? :/
My skin is dry, but as soon as I put on foundation it turns oily especially around my nose and chin. I use a shine free powder, sometimes I think it makes it worse. I have tried primer, I had a sample of Smashbox, Sephora and used Loreal Magic Base, I feel like my makeup lasts longer without it. I apply a small amount of primer and smooth it over my skin, I usually am pretty good with makeup. Maybe you could recommend a foundation that has better staying power, I have sensitive skin and don't want to spend a lot.
I am having trouble finding a skincare regimen for myself. I am overwhelmed by all the different products (serums, moisturizers, sunscreens, primers, bb cream, antioxidants, retinol, etc.) and want to know which ones I should be using and in which order. I use foundation everyday and I'm worried if I use products before it might mix weird. Can someone please help me figure out what I should be putting on my face and when I used to be an oily teen but not so much anymore. I sometimes break out (stress, hormonal mainly) and I am concerned about wrinkles/fine lines forming. I also really want SPF in stuff because I live in San Diego and it's always sunny. Please help!
I have combination skin that is acne prone but can't use products for oily skin without drying it out my skin too much. what do you recommend i do/use? I breakout hormonally, mainly around the chin and mouth area. Right now, I'm using a combination of products, mainly checks and balances by origins, a retinol/salicylic acid cream from neutrogena and a simple nightly moisturizer.
Can someone recommend a good moisturizer for combination skin? I have a skin routine but when it comes to moisturizing, my skin isn't soaking up anything... everything just sits on the surface of my skin and it still feels dry in certain areas still. My skin has changed in the past year so and has become very dry on the cheeks and oil on the tzone... suggestions?
I need a new face routine as my purity cleanser and moisturizer are coming to an end. My skins tends to get dry around my t-zone around this time of the year but that same area also gets oily later on in the day but just t-zone. Can someone please suggest some products for me?
If anyone can give me advice on a few ingredients, that would be helpful. It's for a face moisturizer I'm thinking of buying. The ingredients I'm questioning are: Glycerin - second in ingredient list) Circa Microcrystallina ( Microcrystilline Wax) listed seventh in ingredient list Barium Sulfate Mica Another moisturizer by NARS has a lot of the same ingredients but in a different order. I also saw the word: polysilicone-11 Otherwise, has anyone tried the new Origins: "Make a Difference Plus+?" (Featured in this month's Marie Claire)I guess they have a few new moisturizers. Has anyone tried them? I tried Fresh SPF 20 face moisturizer. I will use it and wash at night. Then wake up and notice that my face looks white like sandpaper-y and whiteish in that area. I tried: Fresh face lotion SPF20, washing, applying Fresh again. Then wake up and wash and I'd see the sandaper-y /white area. I'm kind of pale anyway but I still noticed it. I have combination skin. Also, I have been breaking out more since using it. Less blackhead but more blemishes. I get oily between my eyebrows mainly or a little bit on my chin. I haven't found anything I really am attached to for facial moisturizers at Sephora, to date. I love so many of your other products I just don't love the facial moisturizer selection. I will admit I haven't tried Sephora's high priced moisturizer such as AmoraPacifica. I hope I have the spelling correct. Thoughts?
Hi I'm a 19 year old who is looking for a good facial moisturizer to use. I am on two acne medications, which in addition to the change in weather, has really dried out my skin. It's to the point that my skin around my mouth burns when I wash my face and even when I try to put moisturizer on! I cannot change my acne skincare regime, but I'm unsure what to do. I cannot even put concealer over the same spots (which need it because they are so red...) as a result of my skin flaking. Please help!!
Hey guys, So I have been hearing from friends, family, and the internet a lot about three cleansers. Fresh soy cleanser, boscia cleanser, and josie maran argan cleanser. Have you guys tried any of them? If so let me know! Would they benefit my skin (little oil around nose and chin, occasional small breakouts, and slight redness by my nose)?Or if you haven't tried them and have another one you like also let me know! I cant make up my mind! Thx for the help!!!!!!
Hi guys, I don't do much in the way of skin care, but I would like to start using sunscreen as a daily thing. I've tried this a few times, with a few different brands - but despite not being prone to acne, and having normal skin - this has brought me out in spots every time Am I doing something wrong, or am I just doomed to having spots if I want to protect against skin cancer?
My boyfriend gets some acne, but he doesn't really have any oil on his face. What products would you recommend for him to use? Such as what face wash and moisturizer, etc. He has blackheads and really doesn't wash his face every night.
I've been using Clinique's Mild soap, #3 toner, and Different moisturizing gel. I'm typically oily in the t-zone (mainly forehead) by lunch daily and have cystic acne on occasion. Since I'm in my 30s, I definitely want to take care of my skin daily and incorporate whatever I can to prevent more aging. I think the Clinique line has been doing okay, but I'm curious to know if there's something better out there. Based on your experiences, what is/are the best brands per product that you'd use again and again? I prefer to use a cruelty-free brand if at all possible. Thanks a million!
I dont have much acne in fact I have pretty clear skin I just have this cluster of bumps and a little bit of uneven skin tone. They are on the cheek I tend to sleep on so I think that may be a cause but there are probably others. I use a clarisonic with Neutragena naturals face wash and I scrub with St. Ives and I cleanse at least once a day and I use natural makeup. Any suggestions on anything that could help would be great. Thanks!! -rainbow781
I am 21 and i am looking for a good night cream but i have large pores on my nose and chin and dont want to over moisturize and break out. What would you recommend? Also if i wanted to start using anti-aging products is there one that could help with all or is it better to use seperate products? Please help! Thank you!
Hello, I am 18 and have a bit of acne; Plus combination to oily skin. I was wondering which type of cleanser would be good for me. My co-worker recommended Argan oil for ant-aging and I would like to try it but I’m afraid, using it without a cleanser, will make my skin too oily to bare. I have used other products (mostly Neutrogena) and they over dry my skin. Please help me find a good Cleanser Thank you
I was advised to use both Ole Henriksen's Truth Serum along with DermaDoctor's Picture Porefect. Which should I apply first, after I cleanse but before I moisturize? I tried going with Picture Porefect first because the instructions said on a clean, dry face, but then the Truth Serum seemed to flake off all weird. Would the Picture Porefect work the right way using Truth Serum first and letting it really dry?
