Lately I've been bothered by the size of my pores. I want to invest in a pore minimizer to help. I've heard lots of good things about Benefit's POREfessional and Clinique's Instant Perfector. I want to purchase one that will perfect my skin without making it appear oily.
Thanks in advance!
I use to have the same problem as you until I invested in a Clarsonic. Not only does it help to get your pores clean but it also helps to keep your pores clean. Then I use Perricone's Intensive Pore Minimizer. Neither one of these products will make your pores disappear but they will help to make them not as noticeable.
Hi, gabidee! To help reduce the size of your pores (and not just disguise them) I would try using Perricone MD Intensive Pore Minimizer which is designed to address enlarged pores caused by active oil glands, dirt, wax or chronological aging. This product is rather expensive, but it is effective. By the way, it will not make your skin oily. You can read all about it here: http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P259938
Another less expensive product that you may want to take a look at is Clinique’s Pore Refining Solutions Correcting Serum. It is a concentrated serum that refines pores so they seem smaller, as if they have 'snapped back' into shape. It contains a Pore Resurfacing Complex, which quickly and gently clears out debris and rough flakes. Over time, your skin creates stronger supports for a tighter, smoother look. It is oil-free, ideal for all skin types and you can read all about it here: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P28
In case you're interested in some makeup products that work the help disguise enlarged pores really well, I'll list a few that I've found that work great on disguising enlarged pores. The primer does an amazing job on its own!:
A very good foundation primer to disguise enlarged pores is NARS Skin Smoothing Face Prep which is designed to minimize the appearance of fine lines and pores with just one application. It is also non-comedogenic so you don’t have to worry about it clogging your pores and causing breakouts. You can find it at: http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml;jsessionid
Another makeup product to help disguise enlarged pores is Too Faced Amazing Face Oil-Free Close-Up Coverage Foundation which is a very lightweight foundation that visibly reduces the appearance of pores and fine lines by diffusing and reflecting light. It is skin-smoothing and gives the illusion of airbrushed skin. You can read all about it at: http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml;jsessionid
Hope this helps!
Have a great day!
you are the same as i am! after much trial and error i've come upon dr. brandt's pores no more pore refining primer. you actually don't need much, it's colorless and fills your pores! it controls oil and shine, too! check it out!
I agree with the suggestion to invest in a Mia. It, combined with a cleanser containing either glycolic or salicylic acid, will make an amazing difference in your pores. You can't make them smaller but you can improve their appearance. Perricone and Dr Brandt both make good cleansers and products to help keep pores clear. I did try the clinique product mentioned and was not happy with the results at all.
