Since you mentioned your pores look tight when you're out, but don't look good when you get back home, I'm assuming that you'd like some makeup that would disguise enlarged pores and brighten your skin so that it doesn't look dull at the same time. I hope that I'm right in my assumption and below are the products that I'd recommend:
A very good foundation primer to disguise enlarged pores is NARS Skin Smoothing Face Prep which is designed to minimize the appearance of fine lines and pores with just one application. You can find it at: http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml;jsessionid
Another makeup product to help disguise enlarged pores is Too Faced Amazing Face Oil-Free Close-Up Coverage Foundation which is a very lightweight foundation that visibly reduces the appearance of pores and fine lines by diffusing and reflecting light. It is skin-smoothing and gives the illusion of airbrushed skin. You can read all about it at: http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml;jsessionid
For some skincare products to help enlarged pores and not just mask the problem with makeup, I'd try the following:
To help reduce the size of your pores (and not just disguise them) I would try using Perricone MD Intensive Pore Minimizer which is designed to address enlarged pores caused by active oil glands, dirt, wax or chronological aging. You can read all about it here: http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P259938
Another less expensive product that you may want to take a look at is Clinique’s Pore Refining Solutions Correcting Serum. It is a concentrated serum that refines pores so they seem smaller, as if they have 'snapped back' into shape. It contains a Pore Resurfacing Complex, which quickly and gently clears out debris and rough flakes. Over time, your skin creates stronger supports for a tighter, smoother look. It is oil-free, ideal for all skin types and you can read all about it here: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P28
I hope this helps you.

Get the NARS sheer glow foundation. It will improve your skin and is excellent for dry and combination skin. The NARS Aqua gel hydrator is and excellent treatment for dehydrated skin too!
Before you get started on any new foundation you should really take the time to take care of your skin first. If your pores are looking small and tight then later on your skin is looking dry and dull, it sounds like you're in need some some major hydration and/or moisturization. I would suggest trying a new moisturizer that is proper for your skin type. I would also look at what type of cleanser you are using, is it a gel...or worse yet, a bar soap? You can find the best makeup in the world but if the skin isn't properly hydrated or taken care of, the makeup won't do the trick.
